My Echo also cannot move her jaw. It's stuck and I haven't had the time to really try and figure it out. At least your Echo having a crooked jaw is canon, lol. But yeah, quality control, some things slip through! Really awful you got kind of a bad batch too, with the other legs being weird.
I was so let down by the Echo coloring. :/ Her color from the movie is so beautiful and detailed. I'm planning to repaint mine after I finish a costume for myself. The coloring choice is so bizarre to me, it's not like Camp Cretaceous was being worked on at the same time as the first Jurassic World and some weird communication happened... BUT I will tell you that communication between the branches of Universal is terrible. Like, really terrible.
I know the reasoning for the head sculpts being the same: Money. Talking about retooling and I'd be willing to bet that Universal didn't want to pay for that. They'd be banking on no one noticing because THEY don't see the differences like yourself. All of the raptors are the same body and heads, even though the JP1 and JP2 look different, especially in the brow areas and some of the more angularness of the JP2s. Even though this is more for collectors, the higher-ups do NOT understand that market. They still think of most toys as only for kids, even when it's called a collection.
Can't blame Mattel for ALL of it, they have to get approvals from their licensors. Universal approved all of this. I've worked for clothing and toy companies dealing with licenses, and all the back and forth for getting approvals on items. Nothing goes thru without having been seen by the client company. But I completely get the disappointment in this line. :/ It seemed to have a great start, but as it expands the quality and care given is decreasing.
Use hot water just before it's boiling. A few seconds dipped in it and even the glued parts may be freed. Just be aware they'll become rubbery until cooled again.

Try Beast of the Mesozoic, its better on Articulation and detail, but they aren't based on the JP movies
Ive seens some figures, and watched a review from jobbythehong, and while they look amazing, they cant stand without thier stands, at least some of the raptors cant
@@sealcoA youtuber named SpinoDude reviewed BoTM’s Dilong(not a raptor, but according to SpinoDude, it shares some of the same parts as the raptor figures), and it was able to stand without its base.

Honestly, I'm just surprised that you were able to tell Echo and Delta apart enough to notice that they switched their pictures on the packaging.
Tbf, their colors, patterns, head shape+Echo’s scar make it easy to distinguish between them.
Just have Echo and Delta so far. Do got to say that Delta's color scheme is pretty darn good

Even if the AC Echo is based on the Camp Cretaceous design, it's not even that accurate to it. CC Echo is closer to the og colors than AC Echo. If we were to get these rereleased, the changes needed, and another Echo based on her look in Jurassic World.
on the hips and proportions it could be taken into account several factor, one, mattel does not produce anything high quality (talking revoltech or neca standards, SH monsterarts is way way out of the league). Second one is the articulation limitation, the hips look like that imo in orther to allow the figure to be interactive, although it could have been better it gets the job as a toy. and finall one is the feet are large in orther for it to stand imo, if they had keept the OG props, i may have been difiutl to fabricate or to balance the creature, from my point of view the hp and arm articulations could be difficutl to make, but the hip ones just seem extremly difficult to make, if you wwant a functional figure. in the end is just a hgh quality toy, but not a collectable.
So, are s.h.Monterarts high quality toys?
I think the amber collections are collectibles because I don't understand how you could play with them.
It's absurd they ever released these like that at all. With all those mistakes everywhere it's just inexcusable.
Imagine my fear when they announced that they're making JP3 male raptors in this collection
Will they have quills? Or a different neck sculpt to represent them? Will they even have the proper head sculpt?
I saw some leaked images on Collect Jurassic and the JP3 Male velociraptor figure will have a Crest and quills, along with movie accurate colors.

I actually wanted Blue right now, the rest is still decisionable for me. Also, your Delta isnt Glued, its being either joined by paint or stuck in paint, that could happen

I agree. Unfortunately the way I see it Mattel can do just toys. Any higher quality figures for collectors are just too bad quality to even think about buying...
I don’t mind the inaccuracies, all I care about is the possibility, so I disagree, I think the amber collection raptors are good….
No, these are advertised to represent the animals as they are seen in the film. If you’re going to price them for collectors and call them collector pieces then they need to match the film for accuracy sake. Posing is quite good on these I agree, but when you are one of the largest toy companies in the world you should be able to put forth what you’re advertising.

Honestly considering Mattel's track record these aren't too bad, they're certainly no Hasbro, if Hasbro would have realized JP had a collector's market when they had the license, we would have got something like this but with the sculpt and articulation quality of Black Series or Marvel Legends.
For the AMBER COLLECTION Raptors, it just need the feet to be smaller, the metatarsals a little shorter, and maybe the jaws a little longer or the head a little bigger.
I hope so much that Mattel will also do in this collection : the Tyrannosaurus rex from Jurassic World (although it will be the same size as the "Super Colossal Tyrannosaurus Rex") as long as the proportions will be respected : especially the size of the feet and head in relation to the rest of the body, and the exact location of the scars :
those on the right, on the muzzle, and those on the left, especially at the level of the shoulder;
and the male velociraptor from Jurassic Park 3 based on the velociraptors from AMBER COLLECTION where it just need the feet to be smaller, the jaws a little longer and/or the head a little bigger, change the colors, the head and add the thorns or proto-feathers behind the head.
I got a manky jaw on my dilophosaurus amber collection when I ordered it and I was so upset because I payed £40 for it
My Jurassic park raptor has his top neck joint glued like deltas knee. I also kinda agree as I would like for them to have good quality and better accuracies especially since echo was my favourite.
I think only in the Dino Rivals line, they for once got Echo's colors right
White tiger raptor is literally so loose when you move the leg when you try to stand it up and just pull down like you can't even stand up right and just flip on the side
Charlie has big disfigured cheek and a scar on it tho that she got when she was a baby and was challenging Blue if I remember correctly.
That was Echo (hence the scar)
I only got Blue since the sculpt is based on her. The other raptors are literally the same toy repainted over and over again.
I got Charlie at universal studios only 14 bucks there
I'm curious, are the the tops of raptor's jaws supposed to hinge? Doesn't every creature only have a hinged lower jaw?

I think it was a mistake to put these figures i the toy section these figures should be where the neca figures are located cause these things clog up shelves cause kids don’t want them and collectors don’t cause they arent accurate at all

Dont have any of the raptors myself. Though I agree with your points. I think the recent human figures are great (having Nedry myself). Personally looking forward to the Ellie Sattler fig! Out of curiosity does anyone have trouble problems with the Dilophosaur’s jaw? Mine wont close completely… Don’t know if thats a common problem or not

Even if the stand is clear now it’s still being stuck up their private area :/

yes mattel needs a bit more work on it i loved the scorpious you made because yesterday i was going to buy bumpy but just the plasticky looking paint just annoyed me did not buy it
I was also pretty let down by the fact almost all the animals in the collection were just raptors or raptor based.

Echo is the least accurate but tbh, I love her colors. She looks like a good mix of TLW and JP93 raptors. It's not Echo but it's neat.
But yeah. This line is disappointing as hell. The supposed JP3 raptor (if it even releases because BBTS is the only one listing it and no one else has mentioned it) is def gonna be the last one I grab unless they step the hell up

17:38 Echo is so beautiful and she gets the least screen time, did the best in the training part and gets killed! Poor Echo is also the smallest raptor and the least respected. Echo is my favorite and I am so mad that amber collection would do this. Even after making Blue, Charlie, and Delta look identical to the movie but poor Echo (who has the prettiest colors besides Blue) from Camp Cretaceous.

I want Blue from this...because it's the mold the figure was made as. I was increasingly annoyed by how much all the raptors were just Blue repaints. No retooling at all until JP3. Which when you get to the JP or TLW raptors which have very distinct features is really distracting to me. I think Hammond Collection is doing the same thing, as the JP raptor looks like it's Blue repainted. I get WHY but when we're going to collectable level, I think we really should have a bit of simple retooling

People need to slow down on the trash talk to Mattel and about these figures. To anybody saying: "these mistakes are inexcusable, Mattel shouldn't make collector figures" calm down, the errors on the figures shown are not on every single figure in the line, sure there are inaccuracies but the figures in the review could be more defective than the figure you could get. Just keep that in mind while you watch this.
Also, in my opinion, Echo has one of the best paint jobs. Even though it is not very accurate, it still is done really well, especially if you use it as a generic unnamed raptor.

You can't blame amber collection just cause dealtas leg is glued thats the packagers fault they didn't have an easy time packaging and just cause it doesn't look movie accurate doesn't mean its that dumb or terrible , although if I was a hater I would have gone as far as saying "Not everything you want to have , happen or stop wont always happen you can't have everything you want so stop acting like a princess and get in line"although I couldn't complain too much cause at first I didn't even want it AAAANNNNNND..... I live in the US and had to pay $40 for my Amber lost world raptor and $75 for the OG 93 JP Velociraptor. I haven’t bought any of the new JW raptors but I think I’m going to skip those thanks for the video review!

I guess they would have big feet because of standing issues but sense they have a base to stand on there no Excuse I was thinking about buying blue or the lost world raptor but I don’t know

Delta moves at birdlike movement. Almost like a big chicken if you ask me.
I've got all of them, and every single camera headpiece I got snapped off in half after a week or two. Also, I have the OG Amber raptor and her tail seems to already be drying out and cracking, and they only have ever been displayed. It makes me feel sad and kind of disappointed because they are a little pricey for me and them falling apart or the pieces breaking is just not great. I'd like to see some sculpt variety on these raptors as well

The raptors delta and Charlie are older that's why they have the head crests we know this because look at jurassic world blue and jurassic world dominion blue
Did you ever fix your raptors legs? my delta came with a club foot that i can't seem to twist even with hot water.
The large feet and claws is what stopped me from buying one...
I got 2 Echos to repaint using the replacement heads( 1JW and 1 JP) Marco and Rod collabed on. Didn't realize why the echos were so abundant on ebay until now. Thankfully I got a $50 deal for two.
The quality control is seriously lacking and unless you are getting them for repaints I'd pick a favorite raptor and just get that one.
Rant below.
The first one I got can't close it's jaw and back teeth paint was peeling but otherwise ok.
I think the replacement head should fix the jaw and I can repaint the teeth when I do.
The second is a disgrace. Besides the emblem not being painted on the base the headset is horribly misshapen to the point it's useless. However the worse part is the tail. It's warped so only 'tiffner' can be read on it and was stuck to the packaging with paint. It peeled off the tail with a small yank to stay in the package and still peeling paint elsewhere.
Emblem is a quick fix but I'll have to strip the paint off the tail and deal with trying to work on naked rubber. The headset is a complete loss.

I only got echo in-store after my dog chewed the tip of the tail and some the articulation part were weak after of a couple days some teeth paint was chipped off and then the claw was bitten off by my dog

Also the plastic quality on the amber collection figures is terrible they feel so cheap the stands for both my amber raptor from jp1 and my Dilo have both had their stands break at the top that’s not ok mattel I paid good money for those

@@kieriencrabtree "it's better than hasbro"/ "it's not hasbro" is not an argument. We didn't complain about hasbro's bullshit for 2 and a half years to make lousy excuses for Mattel's mediocrity. This is supposed to be, as they advertised, a collectors line. The whole line is plagued with QC issues and Mattel cut way too many corners with these raptors. For as much as they were sold for, this is unacceptable. This is exactly why the line died. It wasn't competitive with other 6-7 inch collectors toy lines that were 10x better and selling for the same price range.

The pricing you mentioned at the beginning seems a bit off. I believe you said 40-70 USD, I just ordered a Jurassic Park Velociraptor for $25 on Amazon and obviously this figure hasn’t been in stores for quite a while.
I was converting what I paid in pounds here in the UK to USD. It was an example of how expensive they are over here compared to the US

I had that exact same problem with the jaw being not glued on properly on my dilophosaurus, shame it happened to that one because otherwise it would be worth like £150 now
