- It is rare that I do a video like this, but this particular comment just got to me.
What I love about fashion is that there is no right or wrong and I also feel the same way about how we source the pieces we love !
Today I’m sharing why this particular comment frustrated me and how I feel about the point it made !

I watch every video you make Nick and I love them all because of your stories, connection, and genuine enthusiasm for your pieces but most of all because of how unique you are and how inspiring your styling is! This comment is from someone who is much less fulfilled than you are my friend- I feel sad for them.

I'll never understand what benefit people gain from unkind comments. I think they are motivated by jealousy. You have an amazing collection and fantastic taste. Half of the fun of purchases is the hunt and a good bargain on something you love is thrilling. Ignore this miserable person ❤

The Bayswater bag and scarf are stunning! What's wrong with "old?" What's wrong with "used?" And, for sure, what's wrong with "outlet" buys? I completely agree with you, so annoying.
Buying pre-loved can be rewarding and often is much less expensive. I just bought my first pre-loved bag, I had seen the color "Ikat" at an outlet, but the price was high. I scoured all the websites for about a year. Finally, last week, I found the exact bag I'd been waiting for, a Longchamp medium-size tote in the Ikat design/colors. The price was 1/3 what the same bag was at a Texas outlet. I feel so good about having this practical and unusual tote.

Negative comments are so unnecessary. They’re hard to ignore as they’re so off putting, but I try to embrace the overwhelmingly positive interactions I have. You have an absolutely beautiful collection that fulfills and makes you happy - that’s all that matters.
Absolutely I think we focus on one negative in a sea of positives but definitely need to work to tune negatives out !!
Every now and again you will find these snobby party poopers. If they don’t do it to your face they do it behind your back. For the majority of us, who wouldn’t like a bargain? It’s not something to be shameful of. In this day and age we do need to be practical and money manage according to our means.
I would say move on to another channel if they only want hauls after hauls.

Because of you being as fab as you are, you have influenced some of my favourite purchases. I have added many Le Pliage bags to my collection and I picked up the clear rainbow Kurt Geiger Kensington which I use so often. Keep on doing your thing💛💛💛

No one would ever know, seeing you out and about, how much you paid for or where you obtained your pieces, just that you're enjoying them whilst looking fabulous doing it! Some people live their life trying to feel superior to others by making snarky comments, and in reality it's just a sad reflection on them. I'm so glad to see you rise above it! xx
That’s such a good point, when you’re seeing people style their pieces on the street living their lives you have no idea where they got the piece - all you can see is them rocking it !!

Nick - I love to see how you style your bags and outfits. You definitely have a great sense of style. I also see a lot of pieces in your collection that are classic with a bit of a twist wether it's the color or the print of the bag. I know that when I'm looking for a new bag I don't care how old something is or where it comes from as long as it will work with my wardrobe, fits my budget and is in excellent condition...and yes it's really nice when you find a bag that someone else has loved and you can then just use it and not worry about adding your own story to it!

I dont know about other countries but at least the mood in my country kinda harsh to “show of wealth” and elitism. Or maybe i m just being hyper aware tho. So nowadays i used my preloved “used” “old” bags, contemporary bags and outlet bags. Keep it low for extra measure of safety. But still slays day in and day out 😂

I would much rather watch someone unbox a bag they bought pre-loved and hunted for, than a brand-new one wrapped up nicely from the boutique. There's something about the thrill of the hunt. Plus I get to see items I didn't know existed. Some people have such ridiculous rules around buying luxury. You must live in a certain kind of house, drive a specific car, or wear certain clothes. It's all so pretentious and silly. Keep doing you, Nick!
I love to see a bit of both - a fabulous piece from a boutique can be so fun to watch but I love love a pre-loved unboxing too !!

Buy what you want! This is what makes us love you! ❤❤❤. When I first started and did my preloved unboxings, I had somebody always say “just buy a new one from the boutique”. That has always stuck out in my mind!

Not only is the comment ignorant, it’s shortsighted. Buying pre-loved handbags is a smarter and more ethical choice. Every year, over 92 million tons of clothing and accessories end up in landfills, which is incredibly wasteful and harmful to this ONE and ONLY planet we call home. We are a scourge dumping our crap everywhere and it’s going to end badly. You make a big difference by promoting responsible consumer habits. The compulsion for “new new new” will be the end of us.
Definitely great to give pieces a new opportunity to be used and loved !!
Nick I totally understand and agree with the way you shop. I buy mostly all pre-loved bags and slgs I do have some new or like new pieces too. I think the way you shop works for you so good on you!!! The way I shop works for me for almost all of my pieces I need a payment plan to get them but that works for me.,so do you. That’s what I do. Don’t let them worry you.let it go. Take care.💕💕💕

I, like you, have pre-loved, outlet, and boutique pieces. If I like something and I can only get pre-loved, then I will get it pre-loved. One of my favorite bags is a citron colored Alma PM in Epileather from 1997 that I bought pre-loved and I got an amazing LV bag at a great price. I love a sale! I have no problem getting it on sale. I am no snob like that.

Hi Nick, I discovered your videos as I brought my first Aspinal London Tote in olive gold green and wanted to see reviews on it. I also brought it in the summer sale with extra 20% off so when I say I got this bag for a bargain I really, really did. With regards to negative comment DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM. I love love love bags and my section has gone up in recent years to more middle range to luxury designer pieces. I want to go shopping with you to grab a bargain!!!! x

Silly comment. In fact, it's admirable and inspiring that you make the effort to give a new home to pre-loved items and to find good deals. A lot of people are tired of the excessive consumerism from some YTers/influencers (no shade to anyone, just a fact), so there's absolutely no shame is the way you've built your collection.
As someone who also buys luxury bags, sure it's nice to buy something new from a boutique, but there's also something so satisfying about finding the perfect pre-loved item or getting an amazing deal.

The exact reason why I watch your vids, is that you’re shopping secondhand, amongst other purchases. I don’t trust people who doesn’t buy secondhand. Or outlet for that matter. Says more about that person with the comment than anything. No need to justify anything. Shopping “factory new” is so cringe lol.
