Media Briefing: Teen Fatally Shot at 8501 Broadway St. I Houston Police

Assistant Chief Adrian Rodriguez briefs the media on a fatal shooting at 8501 Broadway St.
Preliminary information:
At 12:47 am on Thursday, July 11th, HPD received a call for service about a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address. Officers arrived to find the shooter had fled on foot. The suspect had shot several times into an apartment bedroom window from outside the apartment. A 14-year-old male was struck multiple times and was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The suspect is an African American male in his early 20's, approximately 6 foot tall with a slender build. He was last seen wearing a dark, hooded sweater and light-colored sweat pants.
