His ability to speak so clearly is absolutely miraculous.
He was burned when he was only two, so I suppose he just naturally learned to make all the sounds you'd normally make with your lips, like "b," "f," "m," and "p," with his tongue and palate. As for his jaw being locked open, try talking without moving your jaw, and you'll see you don't really need to.
Yes…I’m stunned. He is an absolute inspiration to all of us. What an incredibly joyful young man. The friendship formed between the UA-camr and him is very cool.

I think the fact that he lost his vision helped him not to lose his mind

And that it happened when he was 2 years old rendering him without recollection of the event.

My partner was burnt to 90% of his body and he came out very lucky.
He's had a lot of surgeries and is always optimistic and tries to be positive every day. I hope this kid can find the happiness we have. My man had a lot of struggles and a lot of issues with anger from being disformed and it took it a lot of time to be out in public without a mask even, but I think he's gorgeous and he inspires me every day. He thinks he's lucky to have me but in reality, we're lucky to have each other...

I will be honest, I thought I was seeing the thumbnail wrong, but I’m seeing it correctly. I mean that in the nicest way possible. This guy seriously suffered the worst injury I’ve ever seen, and the bravery to not only continue in life, but to be on public tv. That take courage.
As bad as it sounds I only finally clicked on this video after seeing it on my feed a dozen times so I could work out what I was seeing as each time I was confused. Amazing how he survived his injuries

I am ASTONISHED at how clearly he speaks. If I only heard him on the phone, I would have NO idea something so extreme had happened to him. He seems like such a wonderful soul with a heart of pure gold. I pray God bless every step of his earthly journey.

It actually makes very little sense how he can talk at all. With his deformed jaw and lack of any lips, being about to make labial sounds like 'b,' 'p,' 'm,' and 'w,' is practically impossible, not to mention the need for the ability to move one's jaw and cheeks freely to say any sound or word... What a brave and dedicated young man! I'm truly impressed with him!
@@tisbutascratch2045 are y'all forgetting about ventriloquists? It's really not that hard to speak without moving you jaw or lips. I've been a ventriloquist for over 15 years. You just have to practice and replace certain letters with other ones. For example, instead of using the letter B, you replace it with D. Say it out loud, Buh, Duh, Buh, Duh. They sound similar, and with practice you can slur the words and make them sound almost identical.

Same thing here, my visual wetware identified the uniform without any problems but then couldn't lock on to the head. I had to start the video to see what's going on. The brain has expectations and looks for certain features to recognize whatever is before it, but this guy is so outside the normal that it doesn't work.
Ultimately I hope this guy will be taken care of by luck and fate. As compensation for the hellish experience he's going through.

I have never seen a disfiguration this bad with so much mobility & articulation. It is incredible how our bodies survive and adapt. This couldnt have been easy for him both mentally and physically. Looking at him I wouldnt expect to hear him speaking much less this clearly. Survivor stories always make me have hope for the future and survive my own hardships, big and small. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
I also think that what is more incredible than this is our medicine. That we care about people so much that we want to save them from something like this and actually manage to do it

Everywhere euthanasia has been legalized, it has backfired and allowed people to be killed over the smallest of issues because it’s simply cheaper for a state and medical personnel that don’t care. Quality of life is not equivalent to the value of life. Even those in immense pain and in trauma are worthy of life. You can’t just kill them because you think it would be better. That’s just detestable.
As for animals, I think we overuse euthanasia for them too but-at the end of the day-animals are not human. Society places an emphasis on human life above other animals, as much as we care about them. You don’t go to prison for hunting, for example. You would if you shot a human to death though. There’s a difference in value.

What a wonderful friendship has grown between this young man and the UA-camr. There are so many kids and people in general living with horrible disabilities who will never have a chance to get married, have kids, and live normal lives. They are the silenced ones, the truly forgotten. Yet they have the most positive attitudes and are grateful simply to be alive.

I know that they have been advances with prosthetics along the years and vaguely recall an eyesight vision enhancement with a chip being in the news years ago. The first time I saw a video of him I was in shock of how someone could survive such intense burns at just 2 years old, he’s a true fighter and a inspiration
he survived! What a Hero! But now, he is entirely financialy suported by his family and I bet he causes A LOT of problems because of his health condition. Real heroes are the ones who saved him and are keeping him alive!

I’m 19 years old and I’m currently a corrections officer and I’m going to police academy when I turn 21 so this video connects with me. Seeing this video made me realize not to take things for granted in life and makes me appreciate and cherish what I have. He’s gone through more struggles and hardships than I ever will. I saw him on another channel and it is shocking at first to be honest. It left me almost speechless that somebody could get burned this bad and not only survive but be able to speak so clearly and think so positively! I will admit if this happened to me just let me die. I give him all the kudos in the world for being so positive and resilient! It must have been so painful to go through that. He really is so positive and I hope he can achieve his dreams whatever they are!
Here's the thing, you would want to survive just like he has. Strength didn't t sit around waiting for its time, it rises to the occasion.

Thanks. I got chronic pancreatitis due to internal injuries. I can vouch that no human was made to keep suffering intense pain with no relief on the horizon. I've figured out some remedies (grapefruit juice, tylenol, kratom, cbd oil, and a chinese herbal combination), but no one should think that only "weak" people give up when accute, prolonged pain is involved. We wish we could provide relief, don't we?

The most amazing thing I take away from this story is knowing that there is a beautiful soul inside that man. He no longer resembles a human being as we know it, but his soul and heart is no different from any of us. In fact it’s probably kinder and gentler than most!
I really hope his family sheds nothing but love over him. If my wife or one of my daughters had a horrendous near death experience like this, I would be so thankful just to still have them and to be able to hold them in my arms and hug and kiss them. I don’t love my family for their appearance, I love them because they’re mine.

After seeing this, I almost started crying it made me realize how selfish and unappreciative I am of the small things in life, while someone like him has lost a lot of those abilities, a lot of us continue to take that for granted, we all have to try to better ourselves and look at the positives in life there’s others much worse off than we are We need to be thankful and strive to be better every day and not feel sorry for ourselves as much, I can’t imagine the pain that poor guy went through, I’m glad he’s got a positive outlook on life and haven’t lost hope it’s truly an inspiration

This genuinely shows the power of the mind. He may have lost some of his physical abilities but he clearly has invested heavily in his mental health to be able to persevere. im not trying to sound rude when i say this, but when youve lost all function you really have nothing else to do but cope. its either u sit there in a sad blank existence or u realize you still have to live life, and move on. obviously this has happened over time, hes an adult now. as a kid he probably felt horrible about it, but after so many years its normal to him. it might sound messed up but im almost glad he cant see because im sure terrible people point, laugh, etc a lot of the time. that would probably make it a lot harder for him to cope with the situation

I am in tears….I’m a white male, many people tell me I’m good looking, grew up upper middle class yet have severe self-esteem issues, pretty bad depression here and there, self pity and a torn meniscus in my knee…. so I make a plethora of excuses not to do so many things in life.
