- Ride along with Deputy T. Pickens, the first woman to join our motorcycle unit. Deputy Pickens came to the Traffic Enforcement Solo Unit in December 2020 after working in the Greenspoint Tactical Unit in north Harris County. “Being in a male dominated field, it can be intimidating at times. But, when you have good leadership, and honestly when you have good teammates, it really does help,” Deputy Pickens said. If you want to be part of our team, visit 👉HCSOJobs.com.

Bexar County Sheriff's office needs to do these types of videos to help recruitment and let the public know what they do on a day to day basis . Great job HCSO!

Is she a sergeant now?
I love this young lady
Awesome video!!
Awesome interview
Omg. Much props to you and the department! Be safe!
love
What an inspiration.
This female officer is extremely good looking.
this looks like the north shore area on wallisville? when she pulled him over it looks like its in front of north shore 9th grade campus ?
Nice riding
I see you Sarge.
you pretty & kno spanish too🥺🥺🥺🥺
Ive noticed in the US (im in Australia) that the motorcycle police rarely if ever wear proper safety gear i.e pants/jacket like we do here in aus. Is it just because theres no law for it or its just not done? For reference look up either on here or google australian motorcycle police to see what we wear here
I think it's more for mobility and also it's easier to take off in case an officer gets shot because in America we have crazy people, some may have guns.
Well, I don't think they typically move very fast. Even on the Highway.
Also, I know I'm late lol, sorry.
I live in Dallas, and most of the MBUs do not wear very much protective gear in relation to Motorcycle Safety, I think mostly for mobility and the assumption that you wouldn't need it for the simple traffic violations and processions that they encounter.
You get to ride Gold Wings, and get paid for it. OMG.
I was wondering why they had a second seat
Please use EYE PROTECTION when you are riding !!!
Wow, my sister speaks Spanish
Congratulations in advance if not already Sergeant Pickens
It doesn't matter, I ride police Go-Karts!
No speaky English YEAH RIGHT lol that was great the moment she spoke Spanish to him.
Then he responds in English.
Ha mf 😂😂😂😂
Thats an interesting choice of motorcycle....kinda nice actually but I honestly think its too big, I would rather stick with a good ol BMW RTP
She fine
Mam i got warrants 🎉
Good story. I always say, if u can do the job then be my guess. But alot of positions are non merit base now.
One thing she said was the key, good leadership. Alot of civil service jobs lack good leadership...
Have to do time in the jail to promote…yeah cuz that makes a lot of sense. What idiotic policies some big agencies have smh
Why is it idiotic. I can tell you have zero experience with law enforcement.
Most larger agencies that have a jail requires time in the jail when they are new. It allows them to learn to work with suspects they will encounter on the streets, and the tricks the pull.
Most larger agencies also require promotions to rotate back into the jail side to learn to be a supervisor there. As a supervisor they can be called to cover any aspect of the job. So knowing how to work the jail only benefits them and gives them a chance to be able to learn how to be a supervisor. It’s because they will be supervising people their entire shift, not a quarter of their shift if they are out on patrol because all their people are spread out of the patrol area. It gives them more experience in a year than 5 years trying to learn it on patrol.
It’s just called dual certification
It’s called stupid
25 over gets a warning??? Why are you all on duty?
It’s not all about citation. It’s about the education and curbing their behavior. Sometimes warning will do that better than a citation.
DOES SHE HAVE AN ONLY FANS??
Always film the police
Always take your meds.
@@Ryfinius back the blue till it happens to you
Are you on drugs?
@@stopcallingmeshirley Happened to me MANY TIMES and I will still back the blue because the actions of one don't define them all.

Look in the old testament a woman shall not put on the clothing It is a mockery
shut up
The nails....no eye pro....the "I'm gonna give him a warning, he was very polite...." the future of policing. Heaven help us.
Cops have been letting people off the hook for being “polite” for decades. Foh
So do you think cops give everyone they stop a ticket? She is doing more for the community than you.
Yes the standards are so low now.
there is a motorcycle fatality ever ninety seconds in or country.. could she be next?
