For us YOASOBI fans, an English version is not to be compared to the original over which one is better to listen to. Because its obvious the japanese version flows naturally into your ears. But for YOASOBI, they are able to translate words and sounds to match and flow together so you get to hear Ikura flex her ENGLISH ( which gets better every time and we are so proud of her progress over the years ) and still sound similar to the Japanese words so it becomes a mini game to go back and look at which parts are GENIUSLY translated. Also, Ikura rapping in ENGLISH is something we need more

@@FreshestAnime The original poster was commenting that it was amazing that here and there some of the English words sounded Japanese… this is called “soramimi” 空耳 where you think you hear words in your own language despite it being sung/said in a foreign language.
The ai we see throughout the 1st episode is just the mask she uses to hide her true self. The only instances we see the 'real' ai was her inner dialogue and death scene. She uses her charisma and lies for masking so much that, if you read 45510 short story you'll see that even her bandmate who was jealous of her didn't accept the imperfect ai which leads to the words in the rap part of the song
You know what?? After Oshi no Ko became popular in South Korea, many KPop idols did a dance challenge with this song in TikTk. BUT what I feel about that is not something sweet and happy, I think the KPop idols want to convey that their lives are the same as the lyrics of this song. They look happy and their life look perfect.. but who knows the pain and lies they harbor to become a perfect Idol..
One more point: AI wears a rabbit doll in the MV because the pronunciation of the words rabbit and liar are similar in Japanese. Using the Rabbit Doll as a Metaphor in the Dress of a Lie
