  • EDIT: This will most probably be my one and only 8-string video, as I've now sold it!
ORIGINAL COMMENT: I've had my 8-string for about 4-5 months now but have only just worked out which song I wanted to cover with it. For those interested, it's a custom Agile 8-string and the specs are:
    Body wood - ash
    Scale length - 30"
    Neck wood - 5-piece maple/walnut
    Neck type - bolt-on
    Frets - 27
    Fretboard wood - ebony
    Radius - 16"
    Width at nut - 2.25"
    Pups - Agile passives
Hardware - black (two volumes, graphite nut, hipshot bridge)
But yeah, love this tune and am fairly happy with the video bar the occasional bit of sloppiness!

@Fredbaty thanks for the response, so i have my line 6 stack, it just so happens that i LOVE the sound that comes out of it when i plug in my pod, i assume i could just run another cable out of the pod into my interface then into the computer? i have the usb for it and everything.

The bend in the breakdown is on the first fret, and it's basically a pre-bend. Other than that awesome job dude. Did you record each part on a different day or something? haha

Only gripe I have about this cover is the ending bends are pre-bent and let down (a la "Walk") instead of bent up...otherwise, absolutely solid cover of one of my favorite songs.

I'm looking to buy this guitar but, instead, the model with Floyd Rose. What gauge strings are you using?
I was going to do .11-.68 with a B-standard tuning with the extra A. (BEADGBEA)
Great playing too! I love your originals as well.

Hahahaha. Well I just bend on the first fret, it sounds right to me. The transition is right though. I noticed a lot of people got that part wrong. They would just keep jammin the first fret when its open.

I've been looking into grabbing an 8, but I really didn't want to stoop to a Schecter, since I've never really enjoyed their products. What's your overall impression of the Agile? I'm also avoiding blowing up my bank account with an Ibanez . :/

  • @NYNmetal
    @NYNmetal 14 років тому

Awesome cover, one very slight problem is that you aren't getting the 'djents' i.e the palm mutes in the verse exactly right. You're muting the entire note, but you're supposed to play it open then immediately mute it. Still, that's a very minor nitpick and most people don't even realize the difference. 5 stars, keep being awesome!

That cover was ridiculously clean and accurate. You really need to start writing your own music. Seriously, even if you can't find great players to work with you should just program some drums and release a solo album like tosin abasi did with animals as leaders, or chimp spanner, or keith merrow, or cloudkicker, or like Bulb used to do, etc..
