@richiepoo thats true, ive seen red ranks that should be tekken king and above and seen blue ranks that should have been in orange, ranked inflation is too real in this game unfortunately
Rising Sun was the first move aside from hammering every button on the controller that i learnt so seeing it have some utility now is really cool to hear.
It was your main wall ender since you got the whole thing against opponents on the wall. Someone else mentioned it was natural on hit but I can't confirm if this is true or not.
right now it has some utility after doing a heat dash close to the wall per example, so you can do some good damage, break the wall and continue. still is unsafe
another option that's worked for me is quickly dashing forward, tap back (to reset his situation), and then do FF4. This seems to ensure the steel pedal damage, but also delays things just enough that players sometimes try to press a button to get up, and they get CH launched by his steel pedal. of course, this doesn't launch if they're simply trying to stand up like with the sebastian tech though...
I'm no expert but here goes; currently at Eliminator with Kaz. Don't really use him as much as I should cause I picked up Reina instead. Regardless in the few matches I do play with him, doing a normal Rising Sun catches even Red Ranks out some times. If the 2nd hit lands I'll go df4, db2,2 df1,df2 into bound. If no wall, oki game. If there is I will then use df1,4 for the pushback and damage but you can also use b2,4 or 3,1 or 1,1,2 for even more pushback if needed (but you get a lower placement if using this route). Once I get wall splat, df3+4,1,2. If the first hit of Rising Sun lands, half health and good chip. If not it's still decent damage. This is something you can get away with in low ranks so to all the N00bs like myself, use it if you know your opponent is allergic crouching lol
Rising sun is so embedded in my brain that I'm still pressing down just seeing the startup. Years of people spamming that with jin back in T3, gave me auto reaction from how much it cheesed me as a kid
The wildest thing I found from this video is that I made up a combo filler with my 12h Kazuya and it turns out that a life long Kazuya main does the same one Wild
I love how the Kazuya players are trying to find an actual use to all of his moves, but the coolest part is that they're actually finding cool combo routes
Holeh shiet I learned just now from this that it launches for a small combo! 👀 It seems situational, so only if your opponent loves to get up quick. But what a cool find
I still use the first hit of this string randomly in the mental stack to catch lazy people out who underestimate me, most will reflex low block as soon as they see the move because alot of low ranks still try this then you nail them with a mid... Its still not good but I always laugh when prople fall for it.
I am kinda new to Tekken, haven't played properly since Tekken 4 or 5 but think I may have found a new tech with Kazyua, if you d/b 1&2 and pull the stick to b in a semi circle he fakes the the move and leaves you right in-front opponent with as far as I can tell no disadvantage, no idea if there is any use for this but is kinda neat
I mean tbf, you've been able to combo from it since T7. If you get a counter hit on the 1st hit, the rest of the string is a natural combo. Never seen any other Kaz use it other than me to force crouch for a free DF1 if they are slow
I've gotten great utility from that move. Some people see it as being so useless that ' there's no way this guy would use this move...' and then they get swept by Tekken's most reactable sweep in history. Lightning Screw Uppercut too!
@@via_negativa6183I remember hei got a free 112 wallsplat if you hit df1 at the wall at tip range. He was my highest ranked without the most games played but I only did the free 112 once online.
I really don't like the fact that inputting ub4 NOW, Kazuya does his Rising Sun attack. Jumping backward and knocking your opponent back with a retreating kick to neutralize pressure from the opponent was quite a useful tool. 👌🏾 The fact that T8 took that out is very disappointing.
I’m already using it as a trap on opponent wake up , its safe when only doing first hit then let them crouch expecting i’m doing the full move, but nah 😂
i wish rising sun's first input could be used in the middle of a combo, instead of an ender after heat dash or unsafe starter. per example i always liked to practice a "fake" combo, starting with pewgf, continuing with u/f+4, then d/f+1 or d/f+3, and continue.
rising sun is not good tech i prefer the 50/50 oki lazer ewgf kick that byfar is better gives you +13 onblock nad fram advantage which you can follow into with masku tech

I can't have one original experience can I?
Kinda like Steve’s UF+3~2
I cheese this move with Devil Jin & Kazuya in " Tekken : Dark Resurrection " too lol !
Rising suns main use was its use as a wall combo for bears. As it did the most damage and prevent ed them from slipping under kazuya
Does it still do that?

It was natural on hit
It was your main wall ender since you got the whole thing against opponents on the wall. Someone else mentioned it was natural on hit but I can't confirm if this is true or not.
All they have to do is make the first two hits a natural combo, and this opens up a lot of wacky, cool shxt for Kaz💯🔥
