This article is about the planned city. For the district, see Ilsan-gu.
Ilsan New Town refers to a planned city occupying Ilsandong-gu and Ilsanseo-gu of Goyang.
Ilsan is located northwest of Seoul. Like other satellite cities in the Seoul National Capital Area such as Bundang, Ilsan was planned in order to alleviate housing shortages in the city of Seoul. Ilsan has experienced phenomenal growth in the past 15 years, usually drawing in younger generations of upper middle-class and upper-class Koreans.
Ilsan is home to Lake Park (호수공원). The lake covers 72.9 acres (295,000 m2) and is the largest artificial lake in Asia.[1] Lake Park features a variety of wild flowers and plants, such as a cactus arboretum and botanical gardens, recreational facilities, a 4.7 km bike path, and a musical fountain. It is the venue for the annual Goyang Korea Flower Show.
The area surrounding Lake Park is a large and sprawling commercial district, which includes Lotte Department Store, Grand Department Store, Hyundai Department Store, as well as La Festa and Western Dom, which host hundreds of stores, restaurants, entertainment venues, and nightlife.
Ilsan's dynamic culture and beautiful urban landscape are featured in numerous Korean TV shows. As a result, the production centers of MBC and SBS, two of the three largest television networks in Korea, are located in Ilsan.
A large Costco store is located at Baekseok Station.
Jeongbalsan Park is located in the center of Ilsan. It is a large residential park which features a large hiking hill with trails, a large Buddhist temple, some historical thatched roof houses, and an outdoor gymnasium.
Goyang Stadium is located near Daehwa Station. It includes a main stadium and a basketball gymnasium.
Goyang Aram Nuri Arts Center is between Lake Park and Jeongbalsan mountain. The theater has 1,887 seats. It is the only wind-pipe concert hall north of the Han River with more than 1,000 seats.
The Korean International Exhibition Center KINTEX is located in Ilsan. It hosts the annual Seoul Motor Show.
The National Cancer Center of Korea is in the Baekseok neighborhood.

This looks like a fairytale neighborhood. And it is so clean! I wish that other places all over would get inspired by this beauty. Truly wonderful would love to live there myself.

It is a neighborhood where the upperclass live. Most of Southkoreans live in appartments. The land price in Seoul is astronomically high.

True ! All the Residents must be a Millenniours / Billenniours l guess ! Not a single person looks on a streets wandering ..... , nor dogs - cats - cows - cocks ...... it's not a village only . Richest people are built - ups their Holiday Homes ! Nearby some where must be a Private - Helipad ..... from there , those people might have use their expensive four - wheelers ..... which are shown in this video . Wow , great - dreamed place . What I like the most about these videos in general is how SILENT and peaceful the streets are! where I live there's always noise coming from bikes, cars and people just being loud in general, but South Korea seems to be so calm and quiet and everyone's so respectful ugh I wish I lived there :(

Looks like an average middle-class/upper-middle-class neighborhood that you can typically find in the US. Not bad SK. Also I'm kinda surprised to see Koreans owning Chevrolets lol.

Absolutely gorgeous! I was born in a poor family and now after all these years i have been able to afford an apartment complex for them, but owning a house with our own garden is the dream.

My dad and I live nearby, so we always hike on a mountain near those houses and we sometimes walk beneath the houses and I feel so privileged to get to share to see amazing and calm views with my dad every Sunday 😄
But i have to tell you that these houses are extremely expensive..... 🤣

일산 이사 가 볼까 하고 구경하고 다닌 기억 나네요. 결국 서울과의 거리 때문에 포기했지만 저 동네도 호수 공원도 참 이쁘더군요. 처음부터 개발한 신도시라 여기저기 널찍해서 션션하기도 하고...

I would love to know how this community look like during a heavy snow in winter.
It doesn't really snow heavily in South Korea, but I imagine if it ever did, it would be beautiful. When I was living in Korea there was only ever a dusting of snow (which I loved because I hate snow, haha.)

@J S We probably have a different definition of heavy snow because I'm accustomed to snow up to your waist. As far as I'm aware and have seen, there's not snow like that in Korea. Perhaps up north in the mountains, but I'm talking about city dwelling.
@@NsTheName I lived in Seoul for many years, and snow doesn't come up to your waist but it certainly reaches slightly below your knee. Watch another video by Seoul Walker where snow pours heavily in Gangnam district. Even if you come from Antarctica, you wouldn't call that a 'dusting of snow' which certainly isn't true.
@@kswltd I'm not saying it hasn't happened before, only that I lived in Seoul very recently for multiple years and it was only a dusting. In fact, I lived in Gangnam. I also can't say it won't snow a lot in the future (because no one knows that) but I can definitely talk about my own personal experience with it. Haha

그냥 수도에 인구가 과도하게 집중된거
이러한 교외전원단지가 많아지면 스프롤이 일어나 녹지가 훼손될 뿐만 아니라 인구공동화현상이 일어나 수도권 교통체증이 더욱 심화되겠죠... 교통 및 편의시설 접근성이 현저히 떨어지는 주민 불편도 있고요... 한 주거형태에 무조건 좋은 점이나 나쁜 점만 있는 것이 아니겠죠? 다양한 주거공간이 존재하는 이유를 생각해보셨으면~

This is what my dream neighborhood looks like. Peaceful, clean, beautiful, big family homes but still within city limits or just outside of it. This way you get the best of both worlds.
This definitely looks like a high end neighborhood.
Definitely not cookie-cutter houses! Each home is unique with different landscapes. Not one eyesore in the whole neighborhood. Although they are different styles, the homes compliment each other and don’t seem like any one house is better than the others. They blend together beautifully!

Personally, all South Koreans and the rest of the world should see what the American suburbs are like, which are much better and 30 times larger than those neighborhoods that classify them as "exclusive" or even "privileged" and would change their vision thousands and billions of people in South Korea and the rest of the world went from something completely impossible to live to completely very possible to live.

Правильно вы написали, чистота не от режимов зависит, а от людей, если идешь мимо урны бросаешь, я в общем, не на личности, окурки, обертки с мороженого и много чего, то кто виноват?

Начнем с того что урны должны быть закрытые, чтоб из них ничего не вылетало, так же баки должны находиться под землёй что бы опять же ветром не раздувало и животные не разносили (например вороны и собаки) кто должен этим заниматься?
Это всё архитектура и проектирование города, кто этим занимается? Очень много чего связанно с властью, потому что без их разрешения ты не сделаешь ничего, потому что потом приедут и разломают с ссылкой что не согласованно с администрацией, ведь ты же им деньги не занёс чтоб разрешили.

이곳의 주택은 북미, 유럽이 다 모여있는 것 같네요. 다양해서 더 예뻐보여요. 이젠 미국도 오래된 동네나 고풍스럽고 아기자기한 집들이 있지 새로 짓는 집들은 다 타운하우스라서 특징없이 지루해요. 한국은 요즘 날씨도 좋나봐요. 모든게 선명하고 예쁘네요. 긴 영상 감사합니다. :)

I lived there a few years ago. His mother worked for a real estate agency in Ilsan. I had an honor of sharing a few words with her years ago. She was driving me around showing me some houses !!! At that time, she was a bit worried about her son cuz BTS had been having difficult time since their debut. I cheered her saying their CEO, Mr Bang, was a really able man and picked very talented ones including her son. And she smiled. Actually, I didn't believe all I said and I regret I didn't invest into the company. Haha

@@KM-leons Dont be naive. South Korea has the highest suicide rate in the developed world, the highest amount of depressed kids and teens and huge issues with mobbing. What sparkles from the outside can be so deeply rotten. Korean society is rough and you dont know the people who live there I guess. You dont know if they are good or just rich.

Very, very beautiful and nice to live there.
The special accent are the magnificent gardens around literally each of the houses: imagine all without these gardens and it would be a complete different sightseeing.
Also nice is the cleanliness everywhere which emphasizes the involvement of the people living there with their surroundings.
