Please include in game subtitles for whose who are: New to the game Can’t remember characters names (therefore can’t search certain boss fight up) Recapping for good measures Where English isn’t their first language… Please it would help tremendously if you could include that for endwalker etc
Wow. Was FF railed by others than me. The story of the Dragons was important. Yet the way they were voiced was like an echo chamber with nothing they were saying clear. But at the end when the guy with the dragons eyes turned into the Dragon Midgar. When he spoke to the humans he was speaking normal (not that anyone would know how a dragon would sound) and everyone could clearly understand every word he was saying. Why couldn't they have done that throughout? The story, the side of the dragon, was important to understanding the reasons behind the 1,000 year war between human and dragon. Does anyone know where l can get a history from the dragons side of things. I understood the humans desired the dragons eyes and ripped the out of the black dragon and the white dragon had a third eye in his brain which belonged to the black dragon. All so confusing without a history to understand the dragons.
I'm not sure you understood the story. It seems a dragon needs its eyes to live as it is the font of their power and probably their life force. When King Thordan and his knights fought Nidhog, they managed to tear out both of his eyes. One would go on to be a relic for the azure dragoon and the other would remain with the first azure dragoon. Hraesvelgr gave Nidhog his other eye to save his life and let him continue on his revenge quest. When Estienen and yourself kill him, Estienen realizes this and returns Hraesvelgr's eye. Estienen the azure dragoon had both eyes after Thordan met his end at our hand. The power of the eyes and the continued rage brought forth Nidhog's vengeful spirit which possessed Estienen. It is actually a thing when mentioning the power of the eyes in dragoon lore that there is a risk of such a thing. As to the reason Midgarsommer doesn't always speak in dragonic or sometimes speaks in English out load....why do any other languages get spoken? Think of Midgarsommer as bilingual. Not every dragon speaks or can speak English. And with how powerful Midgarsommer is, yes he can also do things normal dragons can't. It is through magical means that their meaning is translated in your head. From a writing standpoint, they make you read the cutscenes to make you pay extra close attention.

@@patriciamcclain7601 If I were you I'd try to play through the game. ARR and Heavensward are both free with the trial. Heavensward used to be the gold standard, until the most recent 2 expansions. There are a ton of accessibility features I know in the game itself, and the ui is extremely customizable. Not only that but you can rewatch any cutscene from an inn, including the ones without voice acting. If I'm not mistaken, this one is missing a lot of those. Now I didn't actually watch this whole video. Was just trying to find clips of Yuguri in Heavensward, since tragically she was murdered by her boyfriend along with kids in 2015.
@@aerieleah533 Thank you for your help. However I can't play through a game. I have never played any video games. I wouldn't know the first thing about them and all the accessories needed to play. I do love animation and take great pleasure in watching "Cutscenes" full movies and certain Cutscenes walk through movies. My first and foremost loved Game is DMC. I saw the animated series first and just fell in love with Dante. Everything about him just appealed to me as a hero. All these years later and I still can't find a single thing about him offensive. I love how he loves nothing better than taunting an opponent. He just knows exactly what to say to piss them off, throw them off their game, not because he needs to weaken them its just what he does and if he's there to do battle, you've done something you shouldn't have like eating, killing people. The only thing I didn't like seeing Dante do was with the fouse hat. The scarf & dance, moonwalk was great. I just didn't care for the crotch grab. I guess I'm just nieve here because I never got that, why Jackson did it. And I didn't like seeing Dante do it so when I watch that part I just tune it out. Sorry off track there. I have just accepted that I will need to wait until I get a laptop so the subs at the bottom will be large enough for me to read them. Thank for your suggestions though.
Yeah the dragon spoke in Latin and when playing the game you would read the subtitles. The guy who made the video turn the subtitles off so of course you would miss what they where saying.
I am enjoying this very much except for the dragons. You can't understand a word they are saying and the subs are so tiny that a 10x magnification is still to small, to fast to read. FF really doesn't make it easy for anyone with visual impairments. The dragons sound like an echo chamber with nothing audible. FF needs to do better. Silent movies where discarded 100 years ago. Time the gaming world did the same. Those guys dream up some of the most amazing stories, but they need to take a que from DMC. They are aware of one escapable truth, if you want to cater to the world market. Make sure your dub is good and your subs are large enough to read (without a telescope). And make sure you don't leave anyone out. With DMC anyone, anywhere can play it. DMC will never be woke, racist, LGBTQ bashers, young, old, makes no difference 10 or 100 anyone can play DMC and not be offended and you are never left in the dark about what any of the characters are saying. The FF franchise needs to step up with their remakes on the cut scenes and hire actors to dub the different languages.
