I had dinner with BOTH of these legends in Atlantic City in Caruso’s Italian Restaurant in the original Golden Nugget!! In 1982. It was a night I’ll NEVER FORGET!! I was with them for 2 /2 hours!! I had met Frank a year earlier in 1981 at a charity dinner at Carnegie Hall!! He talked to me for a few minutes , saw I was alone & had the head waiter put me near him at the table.. I had $200 seats but Frank put me in the high rent district.. I’ve told this story in many Rat Pack/Dean/Frank sites on Facebook.
@@jadezee6316 Dean was a fine singer and actor. He was incredibly multi-talented, even if he wasnt some genius in any one category. Although, he was a PHENOMENAL entertainer. This is not disputed. If someone like Dino Crocetti was average, then everyone would be a celebrity...
I am 23. This type of performance is original, pure, and requires a level of talent that music of today is lacking. No flashy light shows, unnecessary effects, or heavy auto tune. The stuff my parents grew up with
I’m 21 and was raised on Dean, Frank, Peggy Lee, Doris Day, etc. THE MUSIC NOWADAYS DOESN’T EVEN COMPARE! The class and charisma of the crooners and singers of this era will be missed!
This is the 1st time I have ever seen dean martin perform in concert. He come's onstage, grabs the mike, turns to the orchestra and asks "How long have I been on.?'" I laughed so hard. And that rich baritone voice of his. DEAN MARTIN WAS AN AWESOME PERFORMER.
When Deanna Martin was a teenager her Dad introduced her to her idol ELVIS....Now Elvis was a BIG Dean Martin fan....so when they met Elvis told her....They call me the King of Rock n Roll but your Dad is the King of Cool !!!!! After that she realized how BIG her Dad was...Dean was GREAT......Frank wasn't so bad either
Saw them at the Sabre Room in Hickory HIlls, IL in 1977 when I was 13. $100 a ticket and a friend of the family got me a ticket, so my mother then could deal with buying one for herself and took me to this 500 seat nightclub. Frank was doing a favor for a "friend" by appearing here. I was very close to the stage, likely still the best concert I've ever seen.
One of my fondest memories was 1966 going to My Uncle Jim and aunt mary kays house to watch Batman and the Dean Martin show in color we didn't have a color tv and that was a real treat. its ironic how everything is taken for granted now we appreciated things more then.
Classy and Badass all wrapped up into a Tuxedo!! Songbirds and Magnificent Entertainers!!! Loaded with never-ending Talents and Charismatic enough to melt all the 🧊 in Antarctica!! Just smooth and slick, Dino and Franky were Unstoppable!! ⚡️🙌💯
Remember when great entertainment was on your TV and radio - free? It's was so easy...no one has replaced these talented performers. What a treasure if you remember the good times.
There are good times today. It is tough getting in music publicly with the world having free access to every recording the instant it is put out there. Every city has great musicians today, playing for free in clubs, bars, subways, parks like my son Morgan at Washington Square Park in Brooklyn, New York every Monday till police run them off , guitar, keyboard, microphone and speaker. They play bars and eateries regularly for free . It's great when locals support their musicians all over the world like many do nowadays.
Bless them both. They entertained us and you don’t realise these are two of a kind. Never to be seen again. They made us laugh, danced, sang, made us feel comfortable from their stage performances. We still miss you, RIP and may the joys of laughter never die.😊
Truly a great entertainer. Dean always brings a big smile to Frank’s face. When performing together,You see the other side of Frank. What a beautiful friendship between these two. This’s one of the best shows of the two greats. Loved that Flashback 1967 at the end too. They’ll always be loved, remembered. Thank you v much for uploading.
Frank sang with all of his soul in some of these songs. They emoted such brotherly love for each other. And knew how to engage the audience with their songs, their humor and laughter. I am so thankful we can be with them again thru UA-cam!
They're looked happy and had a good time whenever performing together. Bringing joys and laughing more, every time. Another great performance from the greats. They'll always be remembered.
Notice how sharp and articulate people were back then.. They could interact with the crowd so easily. Now, everyone is "socially awkward" and can barely hold a conversation!
Thanks for posting this. First time I ever seen this show. This was when Dean was still on top. Frank keep on for many more years. But seeing them both in 77 is gold.
Did Dean's son die that year....From there it went ...DOWN ALL THE WAY with Dean !!!! Sooooo Sorry, right ?!?!?!?! One more for the road...wuawww my favvvv of FS !!!
OMG, I Love Dean Martin because he is so Sweet and Handsome, and his voice just makes me weak. He's so funny too. He is just an all around love, even my dog loves him, she goes and gets comfy cozy, and snoozes to his devine super cool music, and velvety voice! His Voice is the Magic !!!!❤❤❤😊😊😊😊❤❤❤😊😊😊

Thanks for this rare recording. I would have liked to hear more of that beautiful, genuine voice of Dean Martin and less his tomfooleries, although I hardly could understand his speech. Sinatra brilliant in his "serious" performances. Fantastic if a transcription of their dialogs could be read.
I was just 20yo in 1977 and not at all interested in this at the time. But, I did grow up on this music through my dad. And I did wind up appreciating it again in my later years. Nothing compares to this, man! These guys are the OGs - the very best of all damn TIME!!!!
I'm 57. Last 20yrs enjoying all of these greats. I enjoyed the 80s but this is something else. Watched all the roasts too. Sad current generation won't want this. Deano go go!
I can't think of anyone who sings as effortlessly as DM. What a gift to have been given. Would be a bit better of a video if I didn't have to sit through Greg Garrison Productions.
I was at this actual concert. I have photos of Frank and Dean with the cameras following throughout. It was at the The Westchester Premier Theater. (No longer there).
