Time to change my 2024 KLX. This is so ez compared to my 1993 GSXR1100. I had to remove exhaust header to get oil filter past it. Nightmare but I loved that bike. The older I get the easier I want things.
I don't know for sure about KLX, but oil level on a Concours 14 supposed to be checked while bike is level (or at a center stand on a level surface) Are you sure it's correct to check the oil level while bike is leaning over on a kickstand? It it's meant to be checked while the bike is upright - you overfilled it.

Nicely done! Saved me $100 labor.
The new 2024 went up $500. And to add more pain, they deleted the ignition key-matched helmet lock.
I just bought a 24 and I was upset about that
2025 went down quite a bit in price 🤙🏼

definitely! a lot of ppl dont want to tip the bike, or they cant lift it back up though. if you can, it's prob easier lol!

Just so you know, those drain plug crush washers aren’t meant to be reused. So make sure it doesn’t start leaking on you.

No I don't sorry! I just feel it out, probably the worst advice, but it's what I do lol
Drain bolt: 15Nm (11 ft lb). Oil filter cover bolts: 9.8 Nm (89 in lb)
