I’ve seen people tapping into the ignition for lights so light turns on when you turn on bike, also I have seen people add a key to the R… Kawasaki should really have made them with lights and brake light and turn key
Are the engines on the 300r’s reliable? I am between this and the Crf250f and one of the best things about the Honda is just how reliable and trustworthy the bike is.
I have a 2023 KLX300 and want to buy a set of used wheels/tires for off roading via simply swapping them out. Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be an easy way to find compatible used wheels to help me (or others) keep costs down. Thoughts?
Kawasaki should've made the KLX like the Honda 80's XR's that came with a small headlight so it can be easily converted into a cooler and more flickable street legal version.
Bought the 24 KLX300 as my first bike really wanted the 23 crf300 but it wasn't meant to be. I like it, yet to ride some trails but that was my main purpose for getting it.
This is ur first bike? Lol it was going to b my first too this week but I didn’t get it .. cus the bars won’t fit in my narrow door way 😢.l how u like it ? Did u crash it ?
Nice review. That rear seat strap on the Ninja 650, I use to tie down groceries and loop a string through it to really hold the grocery canvas bag securely from sliding back at freeway speeds.
I’d like to see klx 230r vs 300r, I’m considering purchasing one. I’ve ridden the 230r and enjoyed it very much. Is getting the water cooled 300r worth the added cost, bike weight, and maintenance?
That's the catch... It's exactly what you mention. Is the 300 worth those things that you mention. For me, it would be. For you it may not be. I could make the video, laying out the pro's and cons, but I think you have the basics down... The question isn't whether certain things are worth it, the question is whether or not the pros and cons make it worth it for you.
Haha! Oh... I'm back. Still working some things out during August, but I think everyone is going to LOVE what's coming on this channel in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned!
Can you do a review on the new 2024 KX450X bike with the specs? Kawasaki is dragging their feet on releasing any information. Hope they wise up and put a larger capacity gas tank on it something with at least 2.25 gallons.
I own the 2022 klx300 and I’m 5 ft 7inches. I also have a 30 in inseam so I can kick my leg over no problem. Coming to a stop sign just move your butt up a little and with some boots you can easily touch the ground. Hope thatbhelps
i am amazed that bikes exist that are not mx but are still not road legal - WTF ! I ride an sxf 450 for mx and exc500 for enduro, trails and road/legal roaming
Not everyone has the same needs as you. I own an off road bike for our local trails and don't need it to be road legal. I also don't have a need for high performance MX bike.
I don't think you can, but I can't see why you would want to. The suspension on these bikes would be an upgrade on those. If you're saying that you want a lowered bike, you can get aftermarket lowering kits for them.
The Japanese are so predictable! Honda's 2023 CRF300L featured a new color for the first time, they've always been red. So Kawasaki has to go grey, too. :)
@@PeterLoweOne Yeah, I guess I would have saw that if I would have watched the whole video, but after realizing it was a 23 I stopped watching it because I saw a 2024 on the title that's why I clicked on to see a video of the new 24 KLX 300, oh well sorry about that, but I do appreciate your videos they're very informative.
I do believe that's a UA-cam premiere for the 2024 KLX300R. New color, too. Nice one!
I'm glad they are doing the black and the grey options.....I just can't do green.
Trail Bikes really should have lights. Or at least a powerful stator to allow you to add your own lights.
I’ve seen people tapping into the ignition for lights so light turns on when you turn on bike, also I have seen people add a key to the R… Kawasaki should really have made them with lights and brake light and turn key
The front brake rotor is smaller on the road legal bike, gearing is different, suspension is different. Great video
The perfect off road and street bike doesn't exist. That's why I bought a 22 KLX 300 and have a BMW F800GS. The old motocross days are long over. lol
A good adv paired with a dual sport is the way!
It could exist if the idiots just added a 6th gear to some bikes.
Are the engines on the 300r’s reliable? I am between this and the Crf250f and one of the best things about the Honda is just how reliable and trustworthy the bike is.
Yes its going to last forever just like the Honda crf250f. Both reliable machines

I want a comparison between the 2024 and the 2006.
Why? Are you seriously debating buying that old of one if you can afford a new one? Makes no sense.
😂😂😂😂
😅😅😅
@@Gigachadlythe 06 is a much more focused machine, capable of racing hare scrambles and such. The 300R is not as fast or as capable.

We have a klx 110 and is is a well rounded "high quality" bike...
And the 300r klx is what we are looking into
Nice review. That rear seat strap on the Ninja 650, I use to tie down groceries and loop a string through it to really hold the grocery canvas bag securely from sliding back at freeway speeds.
Cheers. How about maintenance intervals...same engine...are the oil change intervals the same as well?
I’m wondering the same thing
I have just bought a 2024 KLX300 (gray), and it does not have a helmet lock. Does this lock come only with the Camo Black variant?
It came on all the KLX300 colors, but it looks like they removed it on the 2024 models.
@@Racer18crf Yeah, it looks like they now sell it as an accessory for $70+
They need to make a KLX500
They must’ve heard you. The kle500 semi reveal at eicma this year was awesome
The exact comparison I was looking for. Thank you!
How does the transmission gearing compare? Does the street version have a big jump between 1 and 2? Is the off-road version closer?
Not sure about the 300 but on the 300r 1st is such a granny gear
Cool KLX motorcycles. Thanks for the details!
Is there any difference in power output?
Thanks for the video, I was wondering what the new ‘24 compares to the previous version
In the state of Georgia do you think if I put all the street legal mods on the 300r would it be legal?
I'm not at all an expert on Georgia law. Sorry.
Thanks for the comparison. As before, I am here to view, like and comment on your ADV and DS reviews!
Great review Peter!

Hi Peter, if you get a chance please do a video about the 2024 KLX300SM. Merci!

It’s crazy how they did the calliper protection for the road bike and not the dirtbike. Good job Kawasaki. ☝️🥴
They want you buy it extra
is there 300r that has heardlight ? and is it street legal

If there is one thing I do not understand is the small fuel tanks on todays bikes. Style over practicality.
I'm guessing that it's more about light weight, easy handling than style, but yeah, I don't think it would hurt to make them a little bigger.
Why couldn't they make the dual sport look like the 300R?
It’s the 23 ds vs 24 r
The 24 ds has the facelift too 😍
@@KLXJOE128 Nice!😎
why does the dirt bike have reflectors? Is that a Canada requirement?
I wondered the same thing. I'm not sure. Maybe?
whats the height recommendation

is it possible to make the R version street legal?
