- Pittsburgh Detective Jack Mook adopted two brothers in need after meeting them at the boxing gym, where he coaches. We were so moved that we gave $10K on the last day of our 10K A Day week!

I couldn't imagine as a child wondering if you're going to get a good night's sleep. There are so many other things a child could think about and this is not one of them. They should be wanting to ride their bike and play with friends. I'm so happy these boys found forever home. Many beautiful blessings to this family ✌️🙏

He is now happily married to a lady who has 3 children.
Meredith Vieira is the youngest of 4 children with 3 older brothers.
Yeah she saw him on TV and went to the bar he frequents and the rest is history 😄

I'm an adopted child. I was only 6 months old when I was adopted and don't remember my "living situation" prior to my adoption but I feel so fortunate that 2 people gave me a home and the unconditional love that only a parent can know. I'm now the dad of a beautiful baby boy (first child at 45 yrs old) and love him more than life itself.

The best thing about tough brutal detectives is that they are super empathetic. They see so much shit and want to get everyone else in a good place.

What I like about this guy is he’s able to separate his work life from his personal life. I know a lot of cops and most can’t do that. Good job and good luck Jack. You’re an awesome person. I really respect what you do and have done.
Now they're a complete wonderful family with 5 kids. Det. Mook has then married a charming lady with 3 kids of her own, 2 more boys and a girl.
I wish my son knew a man like this. Beautiful boys deserve their peace. Wonder how they are.

The older boy is going to grow up and become a Marine and win the Medal of Honor.
i definitely see him becoming a soldier. you can clearly tell he took upon himself to protect his younger brother since he was a child,that sort of resposability defines you as a human,as a man.

I always wanted to adopt or foster but I don’t have the health. I have my baby rescue dog though and she has changed my life. My first dog ever. She is my world. She keeps me active because I have to walk her. I’m in so much pain that I wouldn’t walk for myself, but it makes me happy to see her happy.

What I notice is how genuinely happy there all are. What a great guy Coach is and these 2 brothers seem to be great kids! This is the perfect dad for them to provide a strong loving home

I used to work as a volunteer attorney for a children's rights nonprofit. We did a lot of different things, but one was acting as guardian ad litem for children in the foster system. You would be surprised at how many police officers adopt kids out of the foster system, many of them children they cam across in the line of duty.

It's story like these that bless me and I thank God for giving me strength to raise my nephew going on 15 years. Been single it's not easy. Your lives came together through boxing.and how you
related to them. When not there you were concerned
and went looking for them.
They knew they were seen, valued and then adopting
them as your son's knew they were loved and treasured
as well.
These boys will grow up to be fine young men because
you wanted them in your life and again you will always be there for them as they go through life. Know they are proud you are their dad and they your son's.You are building
strong young men.

This story is beautiful..I would have married him. I love the way josh looks at his younger brother so affectionately and caringly. Im so happy the world has people who are good and loving ..and initiate big help.Iv had abuse in my life and I keep thinking about it ..that I would like to also adopt children maybe 2..because you understand that pain..Maybe I will advocate about abuse or open a sports community centre for people who are in need of that. I want to start singing at events..anyone have ideas of what to sing.xx

Coach is right about this going around the world. I first watched the story on "On The Road" and it inspired me to take my 2 nieces and nephew AND I'm miles away from the states. So sharing these stories absolutely make the world a different place, this is a pandemic of service to others and kindness.

Video after video, testimony after testimony, I am starting to see a pattern and its quite disturbing. It seems to me that children rescued from dysfunctional and abusive life situations are turning out to be more resilient, more motivated, more grateful and more likely to succeed in life than the regular pampered, self entitled and lazy kids we have today. Do we have to break something first so we can rebuild it into something better? God I hope not. EVen with rescue animals, they tend to be better companions, more thankful, more loyal and more loving.
