I was a casual fan, followed a lot of pop music artists until the Covid lockdown 2019/20 when I took a deep dive into her music and artistry. I was blown away by the depth of her discography and videography, more importantly by her socio-political activism and advocacy for many humanitarian and worthy causes. Her impact and influence on pop music and culture is profound, her longevity simply amazing. There’s really very few pop music artists today that carries her kind of legacy.
So happy you did this reaction. I hope you'll do more Madonna reactions in the future. She was one of the main hit makers in the 80's, 90's and 2000's: Like a Prayer, Vogue, La Isla Bonita, Music, Take a Bow, Express Yourself, Like a Virgin, Frozen.....

I'm in my mid 40's now, she was in her mid 40's when she made the Hung Up video, she's in her mid 60's now. I've been watching Madonna my entire life, since she started back in the 80's, she and Michael Jackson basically owned that decade lol. She also did pretty damn well in the 90's and she rocked the 2000's with that banger, the album and the tour. Madonna's impact in Pop culture is immense, it's worth going down that rabbit hole 👍

"Hung Up" sampled ABBA's "Gimme Gimme Gimme", a global hit from 1979. ABBA didn't want their iconic music be sampled so Madonna wrote them a personal letter to convince them, and they took some convincing, - ABBA had the power to make even Madonna sweat lmao. You probably prefer "4 minutes" because you're a hiphop fan and Timbaland is a Hip-Hop and R&B producer so the production is your comfort zone over House music (most Black Americans seem to hate House music).🤷🏾♂ I think the whole "Hard Candy" album in 2008, Madonna worked exclusively with Timbaland, Pharrell and Kanye.
