Great tool and stash add video!! Ive got a couple each of the pro street kits, but i always look at them when i go in Hobby Lobby. Ill wind up with a few more of each. Thanks for sharing!
I love 40% weeks at hobby lobby. I go there every two weeks just to look around. Got lots of gundam stuff there. The only down side is their selection changes very rarely for the cars. Those sanding pads work great. Thanks for the look.
@onixfieroandscalemodelworks thank you! Just subbed. There's plenty for me to build a stash with for now, but yeah it's kinda limited. But with only one hobby shop within 2 hours of me, I'll take what I can get!
@BigSkyModelWorkshop I'm lucky I have 2 hobby lobbies with in driving distance and a couple of hobby shops also. I wish there were more hobby shops for all of us. We would all have huge stashes and be broke..lol
Cool stuff. Those sanding pads are really nice. Gundam markers are very useful. They even have super fine versions to panel line with. Cool kits too. That ‘34 slammer builds up awesome but I like your idea too. Very cool. And congrats again on 300!
@kyledehartsscaleworks I grabbed the black one last time, and if the other HL has those sanding pads I'll get more, much nicer than the ones from Amazon. Thank you Kyle!
Nice haul !! 😉👌🏼 dont be shy to tell you use rattle can . Do your hobby the way you like and it fits you best .. personaly i dont have the time and the space to deal with airbrush so i dont use one.. but thats just my opinion.. or excuses give it or take it😅 build on ! 🫶🏼🤌🏻✌🏼
Nice haul! I'm in the same situation with the small town no hobby shops. So when I went to Ohio last week, I made a few extra stops. I should have that video out soon
I've been eyeballing those two pro-street kits for some time now, not a big fan of that year Chevelle or Nova, but they look like a great source of parts. I did buy the Nova's engine from ebay and use it in the Grumpy Jenkins Vega, though. Nice engine.
@ruckusrodkustom8140 I agree. I just want to add a skill, the biggest thing to me is less overspray, with a small booth indoors it could be very beneficial.
@@BigSkyModelWorkshop when Hot Rod magazine first built it if you remember it was a give away car in the magazine. Had to fill out the magazine subscription card and mail it in
@@dvdw_graphics_crafts even better than the coupon, they put the entire section at 40% off every other week, so you can load up. Everything today was $13-19. Can't beat it, especially since I don't have a hobby shop in my town.
I have a couple of the MPC Modifieds sitting on the shelf waiting to be built. The Ford motor in them is HORRID !! I don’t know what it’s supposed to be but it’s not a reasonable representation of a Ford FE series engine. I just got done resin printing a set of cylinder heads and a nice single plane intake to at least somewhat correct the problem.
@@modelrestorations I was pretty impressed, I bought some other colors. I did have a mishap with the clear, but I think it's user error, I probably didn't wait long enough and got some solvent pop.
I probably should have let it sit a couple of days, but the paint turned out awesome so I was excited. The clear hit it and it was like it foamed up in spots, like a shook up soda can. I'm slowly getting it sanded out.
I'll go out to the suburbs, Here in NYC our retail establishments are a joke they don't hardly have anything worth buying, The stores outside ''The City'' are much better.
Also I finally got my card and stickers out to you so keep a lookout for them sorry been busy and little time at the bench I still have to do a mail call on your card maybe this weekend
Lol, thanks! No lottery, I put a little allowance aside each payday, and every other week Hobby Lobby has their kits 40% off, so they're $13-20 instead of $30+. Once I head to the city I make it count lol! It's still cheaper than what it cost to race my 1:1 car on the weekend, which the wife approves of!
I started out on a 10 dollar harbor freight air brush And there it is i got 3 of the demon ill do one like my 1/1 Chevell is definitely a good parts kit Good stuff
I have one of the 10 dollar ones from when I restored Hot Wheels, I would like to get a pistol grip. My right index finger got smashed flat at work a few years ago and it doesn't quite work right anymore.
Just a fyi...if you have a Harbor Freight close by they have a Black Widow pistol grip air brush for $69. I have one but haven't used it yet. I showed it in one of my early videos, 2nd or 3rd I think.
I try to control my visits to Hobby Lobby since every time I go during the 40% off model kits days I come home with one or two models. It’s hard considering they opened a new Hobby Lobby one mile away from my house. 😂 I grabbed the weathering powders the other day but haven’t tried them yet.
Don’t let Fred Henry see that chevelle I’m surprised you got one between me and him we bought out all of them 😂 the demon is a waste of money my opinion wasn’t happy with it have fun Joe
I got the only one in Great Falls Montana! I'll be at another Hobby Lobby in two weeks, I'll look for them there too! I actually enjoyed the Demon, I did it for my 48hr build. I have plans for a couple more, think I'm going to kitbash one with a Duster.
@michaelquinones-lx6ks a little? I didn't really pay attention. The website might show what they've got, or just drop in to your nearest one, they're fun to browse!
