Hobby Lobby always has sales. Keep an eye out for them because the car kits are usually discounted 40-50%. I recently purchased a '60 Foose Imp, '70 Chevelle, '55 and '60 Chevy's for less than 100 bones!
If they spread there stuff out any further...the model section will be on 6 different aisles in the store. Not like the old Hobby Stores of years past. Packed to the brim...every space filled with great hobby supplies and kits stacked to the ceiling. back in the day you could get 10 kits (or more) for a $100.00. Today you get 3...and it is made in CHINA!! What the hell happened? It's plastic for goodness sake.
Scale Riders occasionally I can find them, they range from the equivalent of $40-70. Ordering from American eBay they’re much cheaper but $25 postage per kit removes a lot of the savings. Plus we often get hit with import fees which are charged as the value over a certain amount plus a handling fee on top. It’s not easy. Wouldn’t mind so much but most of the kits are made in China anyway!

Great choice on the kit you bought.
Unfortunately, Hobby Lobby is the modern Mom & Pop hobby shop today. Thanks for sharing.

I was hoping to 👀 if they had grumpys Vega there.but I didn't 👀 any there.but you didn't show the boats or planes.
Nice kit that you picked up. I always head right to the "clearance" area at my local H/L. You never know what you might find on sale there.
Only one time I had luck in clearance. Most of the kits get snatched up quick.
Like that glasshouse and how did grease lighting turn iut
That's funny I always say that I'm coming back for you. I'm turning into my father spend over 100.00 in hobby lobby

More kits there than all the model shops in the UK combined.
