If I recall correctly, 1/2" scale is 1:24, 7/16" scale is 1:32, 3/8" scale is 1:43, 1/4" scale is 1:48. Maybe. lol Very nice haul. some really cool kits
You said large kit and I just knew it was that Cadillac! Did you happen to see a price on it? Nice haul, wonderful friends and lots of plastic! Looking forward to Spartanburg.... Cheers Terry
Edit! I went back and looked for that Cadillac. It wasn't a Caddy but a Rolls Royce. You ended up with one after all! My favorite big kits were made by Entex. At that time, I was detailing the daylights out of 1:24 and 1:25 kits. I was over the moon when I found these large-scale kits. Later on, when I was working for a foreign car shop, I would see a customer's car and get a kit to build just like the real one. Originally, I displayed them in a glass case in the office, but the owners started to want to buy them. One thing led to another, and soon, I was taking orders and custom building kits. I usually could get enough out of a build to buy four more kits. Ah, those were the days. Cheers Terry
Oooooh, that Zakspeed Capri is sweet! A fastback coupe built by Ford Europe using the mechanicals of a Mk 2 Ford Cortina and intended as a European pony car to try and replicate the North American popularity & success of the Mustang. Capris had a lot of success in touring car racing and rallying.
Hi there, do you think there are any model kit companies that make any other cars by Hudson other than just the hornet I’m looking for some earlier ones preferably the spinoff companies, Essex or terreplein
The Ford Capri was a British Ford. They had Mk1, Mk2, Mk3 models. They came with a variety of engines from 1600 straight 4, 2000 V4 to 3000 V6. They were also built by Ford Germany. (Hence left hand drive) Zakspeed was a German racecar builder. They used Cosworth engines. Those Zakspeed Capris dominated in Europe. In South Africa a company called Pirana put out Capris with a 302 Windsor. Those also dominated race tracks for years.
@modelcarvideos5829 No probs. Also, The Zakspeed Capri was replaced by the Zakspeed Mustang. There is a photo of one on your friend's shop card. I think they built these for Racing in the States because nobody knew what a Capri was.
There's a testor's kit with similar box art Boyds hauler, a OBS Chevy pickup 1/24 scale that's pretty cool looking and I can't figure out where it originally came from. I been wanting to learn how to lace up some Wheels, I wonder if there's a jig in the kit for that, it would be cool see a video on that
I told Jason at Blue Ox that you two should have a contest. See who finishes their project first. Him the motorcycle restoration and you the building expansion of the model room.
Those Renwals are nice and fun to build with no paint. I gave you one of those a couple of years ago built in the display case since probably '66. It must be somewhere in your module room.
Karl Benz invented the three-wheeled Motor Car, known as the “Motorwagen”, in 1866. It was the first true, modern automobile, and that's why many name him the actual inventor. Benz also patented his throttle system, spark plugs, gear shifter, water radiator, carburetor, and other fundamental vehicle elements.
I have only built the 71 f100 and it was the first build on my channel. It was very nice and went together great but they have an issue with the hoods being warped. You can correct it with a little heat.
FYI: De Dion Bouton is pronounced "day dee-OHN boo-TOHN". I built that1:48 scale 1931 Cadillac kit back when I was in high school as an art class project. The French saying on the Panhard kit box means "The ancestor of the automobile." 7/16" = 1 foot translates to somewhere between 1:27 & 1:28 scale 3/8" = 1 foot translates to 1:32 scale
If I remember right, the mercury Capri was built in Germany and imported to the u.s. in the early 70's. The ford Capri is british. Very much the same car. I had a friend that put a Capri front clip on a mustang. Guess it bolted right on.
The 70-78 Mercury Capri was made in Germany. The 79-86 Mercury Capri was based on the Fox body and was made in USA. Most likely, your friend bolted that front end on a Mustang because they are essentially the same car. The German Capri didn't share any body panels with the Mustang.
If I remember correctly but when they come out with the Boyd’s paint they also had some kits. A 57 Chevy for one and that 37 sedan was another. But I could be wrong, just trying to remember.
Very nice stash addons I just found a model that I put up long time ago 1979 Dodge Ramcharger with Bass boat Gone Fishing and I need some HELP. Unfortunately the instructions are missing. Maybe I can find some

Lol!! Hope mine gets done first!
Good haul - The Monogram black Porsche 911 is a very good kit. I cut open the sunroof on the last one I built.
Very cool!
Nice unique looking kits you got at ACME Matt, enjoy the builds.😊
Thanks David!

I need to put a note in it. I'd forgotten who gave it to me. 👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent haul!
Thanks
The tin car was from the 60's
Cool!
Great haul! You picked up some very cool kits from ACME.
Thanks!

Too cool!! Thanks
If you want to see the Capri that that is made off of, just google 1973 Capri. They were built in Europe and Imported to Ford dealers😁
Cool!
What are your thoughts about the moebius ford f series pickups model kit
I have only built the 71 f100 and it was the first build on my channel. It was very nice and went together great but they have an issue with the hoods being warped. You can correct it with a little heat.
Really cool haul Matt.
Thanks Justin!
Holy model haul Batman!!! You have room for all those?!?!?!
No! Lol

Boxter as in boxer engined roadster?
Maybe so Rob!
Matthew, I think "Boxster" is a mash-up of "boxer" (referencing the engine) and "roadster" (referencing the bodystyle)?
👍🏻👍🏻
Nice stuff 👏 first car Benz from Germany
👍🏻👍🏻
WOW dou those are some sweet kits what a score as are your 3d parts😁🤩scooter😎ps thx 4 the shoe😂🤣
Lol!
Just a note. Your opening music is TOO LOUD...But I love your videos
Sorry and thank you!
In answering your question about the quote on the Europe kit, it translates as - the ancestor of automobile
Cool! THANKS
The Porsche boxster is for the flat 6
👍🏻👍🏻
@modelcarvideos5829 boxster engine

The 1915 ford is from Harvey Keeler.
Sorry Harvey, I for the life of me couldn't remember. Thank you!
Amazing kits i would love to see the Honda one built thats a cool little kit. 👍🏻
The porche's are probably Revell Germany kits.
👍🏻👍🏻
I think Kyle at RKD Scaleworks built a Rolls Royce Ballon Car and talked about stringing the wheels. I don't think he had too much trouble with it.
I wonder if still has the instructions for it? Mi e are missing.

Edward, I truly don't know. Hopefully someone else will comment that knows.
The capri was the European Ford Mustang.
👍🏻👍🏻
Great video!¡! But you get an "F" on pronunciation ( and you probably know why- Renault and Porsche )
Lol!!
Phaeton = "fayton". 'E' is silent.
👍🏻👍🏻😁
