Zebra X-701 Tactical Ballpoint Pen Review: Should You Buy It? [2023]

Zebra X-701 Ballpoint - the X-701 is a relatively new addition to Zebra’s family of rugged pens. It’s the first “X” pen Zebra has released and it was the fourth addition to the top-tier “7” line of Zebra’s Steel Series.
The X-701 was not a replacement to the famous F-701 ballpoint but rather an alternative to it.
Zebra calls the X-701 their “tactical ballpoint” which relays the ruggedness of its build as well as the company’s intentions. This is an all-purpose, all-weather, all-temperature (-30 degrees F to 250 degrees F) pen that was designed for use in every scenario.

I have been using this pen for more than 2 yrs now. The black coating easily comes off showing brass / steel construction (the bottom part near the tip looks brass). I frequently paint mine with blank pentel pen to cover the exposed parts. Other than that, good pen!

thanks for the comment.. I guess I won't try to upgrade from the F-701 pens.. not much of an upgrade.

I had satisfied to Tombow Air Press but that was scary above pavement so l need this.

Should have branded the pen as X 901 because of its different form factor.
