My favorite too, I don't think it gets enough notice among the other gems on Pills etc. "Honey, how's your breathing? If it goes for good we'll be leaving."
i've been listening to 'the happy mondays' since i first heard them ( in 1990?), they have stood the test of time: unlike so many others. and if someone tells me that they don't really like them; they simply have to go: and that's a fact. with love from the u.s.
Music in Britain was DIABOLICAL 1987/89, yet along come these guys, and cos I was into the Doors, Beatles, Stones etc, here was fresh guitar music, not retro. There was a whole bunch of bands when this all started to chart regularly by 1990. Massive influx.
one word, mate: inspiral carpets'! well, that's two words, but.. i'm just sayin'. i was into 'echo and the bunnymen', 'the smiths', 'the fall' and then this new stuff came along and 'twisted my melon, man'.
Lyrics are brilliant to this song
Probably my all time favorite Happy Mondays song, wonderful to see them knock it out of the park.

@@InfotainmentScan mine too! I love how Sean and Roweta sing basically the same thing. Sounds great. Almost wish they'd done that more
My personal Favorite Mondays track

it's kinda crazy how fucking tight they were as a live band in this era, I can't imagine this sound being able to recreate easily in a live setting
The most underrated English band ever .....right up there
Happy Mondays 1985-1992. One of a kind. Never be repeated. Ever...
I finally got to see the Mondays about 10 years ago. I was blown away by what a great, tight band they were. RIP Paul Ryder.
