How to improve quality Education in Gilgit Baltistan | Interview with VC KIU | Dr Attaullah Shah |

Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah as 5th Vice Chancellor of KIU. He has done Ph.D. Civil Engineering, MS Str Engg, MPhil Eco, MS Envir Design, MBA, and PGD Computer Science Before joining KIU, has been serving as the Vice Chancellor City University of Science and IT Peshawar during 2014-2018. He has been Director of Projects and Planning at AIOU during 2000-2014. He is fellow of Institution of Engineers Pakistan, Chairman KP Chapter of IEP, Consulting Engineer and Life member Pakistan Engineering Council. He is also a member of numerous committees of HEC and PEC. He is member project advisory committees, selection board and steering committees of various national and international organization of high repute.
Dr. Shah is the author of more than 100 publications in refereed journals and international conferences. He also authored 6 books in the areas of Engineering Eco, High Strength Concrete, Disaster Management, and Construction Project Management. He is an expert in the areas of academic leadership, financial management, resource mobilization and Outcome Based Education & Assessment.
KIU as per its vision is committed to social development and evolution of peaceful and pluralistic societies in the mountainous region of Gilgit Baltistan (GB). As the gateway to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the region is moving to a new era of economic development. KIU as the first Higher Education Institution (HEI) in the region has been providing the necessary Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSA) to its graduates to enable them to harness the opportunities at regional, national and global levels.

Unfortunately in our country education is not updated.. Education reforms and teachers training are important and quality education is necessary for better future of Pakistan. Govt of Pakistan must work on it specifically HEC.

ہمارے یونیورسٹی میں معیاری تعلیم دور دور تک نظر نہیں آرہی ھے ۔پہلے سے امتحانات کا طریقہ کار بہتر نہیں تھا اب مزید خراب ھوا ھے ۔
یونیورسٹی کے اندر طلبہ کو داخلے دیتے ھیں مگر اساتزہ بہت کم ھوتے ھیں اور ساتھ ساتھ آج کل نیا طریقہ کار جس میں امتحان کی جگہ کلاس ٹیسٹ ھوتا جوکہ ٹیچر کے بورڈ پر لکھنے سے پہلے طلبہ آپس میں حل کرتے ھیں ۔
شعبہ اردو میں اس وقت ایک کلاس میں سو سے زاٸد طلبہ بٹھاتے ھیں جس کی وجہ سے نہ صرف اساتزہ کو پڑھانے میں دشواری کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا بلکہ ٹیسٹ میں کنٹرول بھی نہیں ھوسکتے ۔
اب ایسے حالات میں کہاں کوالٹی ایجوکیشن اور کہاں ھم 🤔
