Oshi No Ko is too peak
when Arima was telling Aqua, "if yo mama yada yada da," I totally expected the sound directors to cut the soundtrack to really sell the moment as something that just *struck* Aqua. Kinda sad they didn't do that.
Akane's eyes being like that doesn't mean she is acting like Ai, it means a character is basically "in their zone".
Her eyes were like this when she was piecing everything together, she wasn't impersonating Ai in those moments.
For Akane, her zone is basically being highly deductive and understanding of character.
She was definitely in touch with her Ai at that moment though, there's a slight change in her tone and she ended her sentence with a 'dayo' that Ai used to use a lot.
you know, the phrase Mommy Akane might be more literal than it should be with the way she be sometimes
The scene where Aqua was recalling his happy memories was definitely powerful, it’s probably one of the most unfiltered looks into Aqua’s inner thoughts that we get. I also thought the way Aqua gets this sudden pangs of guilt makes so much sense. It’s probably why he’s so fixated on revenge; it lets him channel that guilt into something that doesn’t involve tearing himself up inside.

Man, i wish i could say more but i don't think i can right now, it's just, this show is so god damm goow man, holy shit.
I like that a good chunk of aqua's happy memories contain kana, even the ones that are supposed to be more about the b komachi performance are centered around kana. As i also hold the belief that he likes kana and that their interactions are really good for him as see this as an absolute win.
On the other hand i have the same worries as you with the akane thing, maybe I'm a bit more hopeful that it won't get as dark(🤞) cuz i think that was just her trying to comfort him in the moment, i want to believe akane is aware enough to realize that it won't be good for them in the long run but maybe she isn't, idk, we'll see.

One thing that is true is the Star on Akane's eye doesn't 100% mean acting like Ai (taking persona of Ai). As you know, Ruby and Aqua has the star on their eye. The star implies some of their talent, not only the characteristics of Ai. Though Akane get the stars through acting like Ai, stars on her eyes have various meaning, not just pretending to be Ai!

Yes, it's right. In Anime, it shows many times Akane get stars in other Characters or other performance. Besides Akane never acting(演じる) like Ai, she just perform(役作り) like Ai, but not to act Ai. It's totally different.

Felt to me like she was only acting like AI during the reality show. Kinda seemed like she noticed it was making him uncomfortable. Think the eyes could have some kind of different meaning honestly. I could be wrong.
