Thanks for shooting this one. We were only brave enough 2 weeks ago on our trip to Norway to take the Gerainger hairpin road. Couldn't face Trollstigen. Miss Norway so very much. The most beautiful country on Earth. But we did travel the 'scenic panoramic route' from Hennebygda to Stryn twice! That was white knuckle driving! Especially with pushy tourist coach buses and caravans on very narrow single lanes!

Nice video. the same roads were driven last summer, but I didn't get such a great video. what 360 camera did you use and where was it attached?
I used an insta360 X2 camera and I didn't mount it I'm afraid. I actually held a selfie-stick out of the car the entire time ;) In the future I'm planning to mount it on a roof rack. =)
Thanks for posting this video! Love the calm music. Me and a friend were going to drive this exact route this summer but unfortunately the exact day for our trip, the Police closed the road (we were the first car behind Police) due to stones that fell from the cliffside along the road. After 2 hours waiting with no light in the dark, we turned our vehicle around and went back to where we came from (Åndalsnes).Later we heard (from news) they re-opened the road 7 hours later. So it was nice yet sad to see what we missed in your footage. Can you please give me the exact time in the video from Dalsnibba? I fail when I try to find it (since I haven't been there but I thought I knew what it looked like, but no). Hope you can make the time to help out. Thanks
Glad you like it! I'm sorry to hear about the unfortunate road closure during your road trip though, hopefully you'll be able to redo your trip in the future. =( The Dalsnibba part of the video is between 32:00 and 37:15, with on 33:30 a small bit of the rise to the viewpoint and on 3:55 a (bigger) part of the descent. Just wondering, how did you have your camera mounted?? and how did you control it to change the angles as you were driving?? Was it connected to a phone so you could see the video on the phone as opposed to the camera screen??
I'm using a 360-degrees camera to capture everything. While editing afterwards I can "look around" and focus on what I would like to show. =)

Very nice. We did this about 3 weeks ago approaching from the other side. This gives a different but just as nice a view. Like your rotating view, being able to look back or around. How did you accomplish this? And control the direction of the view? Thanks for sharing ❤
I'm using a 360-degrees camera that captures in every direction. When creating/editing the videos, I can select/follow the footage that I would like to focus on. This is called 'reframing'.=)

I am 63 and myself a biker along with my son, 35, frequenting the mountains on our respective Royal Enfields , mostly in winters or during rains .... the adventure-spirit of biking to off-beat and difficult-to-access destinations up there is what triggered my comment driving your curiosity !! Have a great day....I watched Your video again and found it no less impressive....maybe when I am older . I'll make it to those beautiful places ....I love snow !

I can assure you that the almost banshee-like sounds my camera captures while driving are far worse. ;) Fortunately you can mute the music in UA-cam if you dislike it. I'm curious though, what kind of sounds or music would you prefer in a road trip video?
@@RelaxingRoadTrip. Just the sounds of nature and driving, I personally really like rainy weather. If you can make videos like that, I promise I will subscribe to your channel :)
@@KoltkazeThanks for your reply! I'm shooting footage during our holidays (we're just a traveling couple, no company) using relatively cheap equipment and I personally dislike the continuous roar of the wind my camera captures, hence the music. I'll keep it in mind when buying my next camera though, perhaps they come with filters that can somewhat reduce that specific noise and keep the car and surrounding nature sounds. =)
@@RelaxingRoadTrip. Yeah, maybe it's just the quality of your camera. I've seen plenty of UA-cam channels like this without music, so I know it's possible. Have fun traveling!
