To be fair, this video DOES mention the deposition of the Shah. It doesn't explain how the Shah got into place and the resentment that caused, which might have been useful. But every video about history has to start somewhere or else you'd be going back forever. This never claimed to be a comprehensive history of Iran, but you are correct that that is valuable background in terms of Iranian resentment of U.S. interference in the region.
Hi ... totally agree with you....just made a comment about the impact of Western powers and interference in the region....sad to this very important piece of contextual information missing from their analysis......lack of research and attention to detail...... disappointing for a major European news outlet.

Incredibly, you did not mention the recent agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia brokered by China that led even to an exchage of ambassadors and put and end to Iran's isolation, nor did you mention Syria position nor the fact that Israel owns 100-200 nuclear bombs. More, you reported and used the US and EU definitions of IRAN as they were "the truth", while they're obviously negative. So your storytelling is very partial, in my opinion.

This video is not good enough to explain how much the issue is complicated. The Israelis-Iranian relationship is far more complex than this document briefly mentioned. For example, the Israeli ambassador to South Korea once said to Koreans "One day, we will have a peaceful relationship with Iran, I am sure. For we have no issue or argument with Iran as a country. Maybe around that time, the Korean peninsula would be united." The Israeli diplomat might have lied to Koreans, but I believe this comment shows that the Israeli foreign policy establishment sees their relationship with Iran in a multi-dimensional way. And Iranians are not as simple and homogeneous as this video describes. They have a sophisticated and institutionalised governance system. Some may be religious and ideological but others must be practical and competitive. That is why the Iranian regime managed to survive even though there was and is a lot of pressure to destroy it. To sum up, my point is this: do not underestimate how far both Israelis and Iranians are capable and how complicated each of their internal societies are. It's not that much simple. If it were, it would have been much easier to deal with this issue.
Iran regime wants destruction of Israel and the west no matter what. Israel will push back and will go as far as they possibly can to make sure Iran know they have right to exist

I would addressed why no one seems to like the Palestinians. Yes, many people are protesting the war in Gaza but the response from other Arab countries has been pretty mild given the devastation. Beyond rhetoric, there has been virtually no response from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States. Iran doesn't seem to doing any thing more than sticking a finger in the eye of Israel and the United States. Even Hezbollah who one would think would rise up has only launched a few token missiles. BREAKING NEWS 🇮🇷 It is now confirmed that Iran has told the United States that it can avoid a direct strike on Israel by signing a permanent ceasefire deal in Gaza. It should also be noted that Israel has given its negotiating team a stronger mandate and has withdrawn its troops from southern Gaza.
Call me old-fashioned, but the differences are much more historical than geopolitical. They are rooted in biblical (and other ancient) accounts, and the separation of the Hebrew people and Arab tribes starting with Isaac and Ishmael. Biblically it says that there would be emnity between the two people groups. But most of the unbelieving world does not take biblical accounts seriously, so the world will not find a solution or really understand humanities' future path, or the 'why' on its own.

Iran doesn't seem to doing any thing more than sticking a finger in the eye of Israel and the United States. Even Hezbollah who one would think would rise up has only launched a few token missiles. It seems as though most would like the Palestinians to just disappear. It took a non-Arab country, South Africa, to bring forth a charge of genocide to the International Court of Justice.
to be honest, Iranian street has been absolutly silent in comparison to EU streets about palestine, which I think is good but the video you assembeled is from couple of years ago not this year
The winners in the competition for the biggest brainwashed population supporting Palestinians are Turkey and Jordan, not the US/EU.
because people in EU are protesting against their govt support Israel.
Iran is not
@@AksarallahPeople in Turkey can not safely protest against their dictator, but they are allowed to be antisemites and hate Israel😢
Shame on you that you think silence in the face of genocide is a good thing.
Soleimani was talking tough I wonder what happened 🤔
He was shown the way to the underworld where he is serving for me now

As Soleimaniac
Great analysis.
Wonderful information! Thanks!
Excellent coverage. Thank you.
Imagine if Iran was still a Zoroastrian country today.
We India, Iran, Israel would have been great friends and the oldest civilizations in the world.
India and Israel are still there as friends but a certain someone is missing.
religion is not the problem at play here but politics dont mix the two
Israeil was not exist as a country
Delusional
@@personatworkLMAOOO!!! Religion has everything to do with this. 😂
its sad tht a civilisational state like iran care so much about religion. islam can act in strange ways.
Zionizm?????
'Any of them'-ism. @@sahinozkan199
Guys this is just a chat why bring religion into it. There may be neither of the two the way they are fighting
The title of this video should read:
Why the “Mullas” and Israel are enemies? Because the Iranian people are of different opinion.
@David-hz2id: Bravo David. Congratulation for your well informed comment!... So far your comment is the only & the first one which makes a sensible, realistic. thoughtful meaning. Thank you very much. 👍👏👍👏
@@Savash50 Thank you.
this was a good video in terms of accuracy on parts of the conflict, maps, visuals, and current events. more detail is needed to explain animosities as well as how the friendship between the two countries--and two peoples--has changed over the past 50 years.
No it wasn't. This was one sided Western/Israeli narrative.
Well these two guys were wrong. Iran became involved….
Israel will never mess with Iran directly.
They know the consequences would not be in their favor.😊
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Wow I have to applaud the production value you guys put into this video. Really made Iran look like a boogeyman
How Israel was created , by which country? Why in the middle-east you should explain.
Read the Bible...you might learn something about Israel on your own instead of trusting the "news."
or read the Quran, would work too.
And now Iran is already attacked Israel
Congrats on being mentioned on MSNBC Ari Melber's show. It was quite unexpected! Keep up the good work!
The video starts wit the iran pipeline but selectively decides not to mention that the shah isntalled by the west for western interests to take oil out of iran.
The entire region is just terrible.
I agree I m glad I'm far away from there
BREAKING NEWS 🇮🇷
It is now confirmed that Iran has told the United States that it can avoid a direct strike on Israel by signing a permanent ceasefire deal in Gaza.
It should also be noted that Israel has given its negotiating team a stronger mandate and has withdrawn its troops from southern Gaza.
West Did mess about Middle East , nobody else to blame it , need to leave this Region alone !!
Who else is here trying to understand why iran attack israel and why iran defend palestine against israel.
Because Israel attacked Iranian embassy in Damascus and killed 7 people. And why wouldn't anyone in their right mind defend Palestine against Israel?
Call me old-fashioned, but the differences are much more historical than geopolitical. They are rooted in biblical (and other ancient) accounts, and the separation of the Hebrew people and Arab tribes starting with Isaac and Ishmael. Biblically it says that there would be emnity between the two people groups. But most of the unbelieving world does not take biblical accounts seriously, so the world will not find a solution or really understand humanities' future path, or the 'why' on its own.
True goes deeper than just political and economical
Please map out the Eastern Congo (DRC) conflict as well.
Looks like someone paid DW for unloading this video
Wow that was an excellent explanation 👏
Before i even watched or attempt to watch. I knew this channel is not going to give a true account of this situation, and i wasnt disappointed. I cant even begin to count how many disinformation they spew .
Israel isn't that powerful it can't fight iran funny fact whole NATO countries can't fight alone in the battlefield
Fun fact Iran would get annihilated by Israel if every other space in the world was uninhabited but passable
Including that big uncle
It’s not medieval, the war is economic not physical now in 21 centuries
Israel has nuclear weapons
@@colincocks1335 so what??
Iran will not directly involve war with Isreal. If so then USA will defend.
Already USA is involved in the war by supplying weapons to Israel
The US that ran away from Afghanistan 😂

Well, Iran's direct strike on Israel made this video look foolish pretty fast.
So nothing happened from 1948 until 1978? Wow. Excellent analysis.
Why don't you make a report on the US intransigence support of America to Israel?
We love iran 🇮🇷♥️🇮🇷 all over the world.
who are all these groupies thanking DW for excellent reporting and objectivity - when it's obviously not true here? Does DW hire bots to improve viewers' response metrics?
Exactly 😂
M0$$@d bots are all over DW, Fox news, and Sky News (especially Sky News Australia). I’m sure they’d be reading this now if it’s not shadow-deleted.
What did they say that wasn't true?
Israel must be the leader of the Middle East because it is the Holy Land. Israel is the Earth's heart. Is it not about what Iran is thinking of doing? It is about God's most precious Land. Respect God's reservation. .
Who told you so
Woah don’t even try to hide your supremacist mentality 😂 there’s no such thing as a “holy land”.
Now Iran is involved. 13 April 2024 -
Western sahara and morocco
The problem was the Iranian revolution in the 1970s.
Khomeini... he became monster😅
The experts got it wrong when they predict iran won't directly engage with israel.
Coming from April 2024, this video was a total waste of time because Iran is now involved
The coast and hinterland in antiquity was known as Canaan the land where Jesus was born. Attested by Egyptian and Assyrian records but no mention of Palestine. The people called the Country Eretz Israel, the land of Israel, using the names Israel and Judah to designate the two Kingdoms split after the death of King Solomon (Suleiman)…The Judge must be very wise and sober not to give what belongs to one to the other or vice-versa. Israel was gracious enough to offer this land to the “Palestines” as an independent state but they refused. They want everything. Just because a kid throws a tantrum and cries the loudest doesn’t mean they should have another’s Toy that does not belong to them.
Liars.
you're commenting on dw comment section
it's already one of your own kind
The Bias is unreal
And know Israel and Iran have both struck each other in an escalation of the war. Just wild times.
Why don't Iran leave Israel alone who do you think you are you love Allha I love Jesus
I guess that argument doesn’t apply anymore because Iran just did ….
Proud of our indigenous South African brothers and sisters! Im proud that my children are proudly South African!
Nice information
People who don’t live there, don’t have any idea what is happening there
The video didn't really explain why Iran is hostile towards Israel.
The Lord says, I will bless those who blessed you (Israel), and I will curse those who cursed you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻.
