Visit to the wild Engadin ibexes in Pontresina Switzerland at the Berninea Pass. The Steinbock herd organizes several show fights with different line-ups in the Alpen Arena for the large audience.
The Capricorn Trail begins at the church of Santa Maria. The region has the largest concentration of ibex in the European Alps with around 1,800 animals. From the end of April to the beginning of June, when there is still snow up in the mountains and it is already green in the valley, the male bucks come down to the outskirts of town, while the pregnant females remain in the high mountains to keep warm. On the way, very friendly rangers keep watch over the bucks and ensure that you don't get too close to the wild animals or block the preparation.
A really worthwhile trip to Switzerland.
