What about all the surfers that get attacked from below who are just sitting on their boards? I guess those sharks couldn't smell their confidence.

I use to wonder about that myself, but if you think about it, when have you ever seen Laird just sitting on his board with 20 or 30 other people around him waiting to paddle into a wave, I've never seen him do that, he doesn't surf in competitions, he only surfs giant waves that you have to be towed into, so he doesn't spend anytime just sitting on his board,

Every single video I see of him spitting straights facts on, I see a crybaby SJW. Laird is literally a walking legend. He knows the ocean more than anyone. The greatest surfer alive. No respect. He’s earned his thats for sure.

Big wave towed surfers don't have to worry about sharks, because they don't sit around on their boards waiting to paddle into a big wave, they get towed into them.

Laird was right the 1st time, sharks have existed for 450 million years.

Respect? Laird Hamilton, no relation to Bethany, called his father, Billy, another legendary surfer, and told him if he didn’t go out and “kill this fucking shark”, he was going to do it himself. Fourteen days later, much to the outrage of the indigenous Hawaiian population, Billy Hamilton and Ralph Young hauled to the beach a fourteen-foot female tiger shark with a ragged dorsal fin.
