I drink smoothies with cauliflower all the time---it doesn't really impart any flavor, but I just throw it in with some berries and it adds fiber etc. I think it's a really neutral item to have in there
Cauliflower, like Brie said, doesn't add much flavor at all. It's typically used in cooking for that reason. You can use it for the like broccoli texture but no flavor or you can blend it into things to sneak in extra vitamins C and K. There's some fiber in it, but you need a cup of cauliflower for just about 7% of your DV (daily value). Meanwhile 1 cup of cauliflower is 19% of your DV of vitamin K. There's also about 61% of your DV of vitamin C. So yeah putting it into a smoothie is actually extremely good for you and since it doesn't really have flavor there's no need to hide it really. Kristin could have essentially made any recipe she's made before but she seemed determined to use bone broth for some reason.. If your goal is fiber by the way, I'd recommend adding something else like guava (9g in 1 cup), raspberries (8g in 1 cup), or even topping the smoothie with a good high fiber cereal (can be like 13g per 1/2 cup). The recommended fiber is about 25g for women under 50 and 35g for men per day.
If you're allergic to bananas, cauliflower is great for adding body and some degree of creaminess. The trick is to steam it first, though (and let it cool). It adds basically no flavour, just some texture..

I think that would have helped with the texture. To cut the spice of the jalapeño I would have used some citrus juice and then added mango juice instead of oatmilk. For a while Jamba Juice had a mango con chile smoothie that was sooo good.
I had thought mango and pineapple as I know both are eaten with spice in some places, and yeah, steam the heck out of the cauliflower and blend it first, then add from there.
Boil cauliflower and it actually increases in vitamins while softening up. It's actually a pretty common ingredient in smoothies because it adds a lot of vitamins K and C. They also don't impart much flavor at all so they can be added to practically anything. For the jalapeno, I think the main issue is how she cut it and how much. Unless they cut it, she didn't remove the seeds which are a lot of the heat of jalapenos. She also should have probably only used like two slices. There'd be no need to really cut the jalapeno with anything because there was already mint, strawberry, and chocolate granola. It's already cut - there was just far too much jalapeno and not properly cut.
Would’ve also put the jalapenos into citrus or berries too, something tart for sure For the cauliflower i feel like any greens-based recipe would’ve worked much better than the bone broth lol

With savoury ingredients I think I would use cream cheese and plain unsweetened yogurt as a base, and pre fry anything spicy like jalapeno or garlic, etc. Maybe pre fry the cauliflower so it's a bit browned and the starches are softened. I think it could be good actually.
