Looks like they fouled Harting's throw. His foot didn't go outside the ring, but it certainly touched the side. That's not illegal and should have been a valid throw!
right at 1:30 one could argue the sole of his shoe may have touched the outside a little, or at least it may look that way from their perspective, the judges are seated at different angles than the one shown by the camera. Then again, could have been misjudged as you said, just a possibility.
@@henry_g_s yes the foot lightly touched the outside surface of ring apron. probably twice. rules do not allow ANY touching of the area outside of the sunken throwing diameter. rules are rules. Harting fouled
Непонятно, почему МФЛА не увеличивает размер кругов для метания диска и толкания ядра. Какие люди были в 1896 году и какие сейчас !! Круг для диска д.б. не 2 м 50 см, а 3.00. А для ядра не 217,5, а 2.50 !

That wasn’t a foul. But have had throws judged the same many times. Luck of the draw I suppose.
