Amazing video! It would be super cool to focus an entire video on a single tadpole. It would take a while to do, but it would be super cool! Like following it from an egg, to a tadpole, to a froglet, to a frog! Keep up the greatness :)
Smart plugs are the absolute way to go! I only hope that Mistking updates their timer because I hate both the old one and the new one. It's time to step into the future for controlling our MKs. Great vid as always!
Yay new frog vlog! Also thanks for the idea of using smart plugs for the lights!! I'm gonna buy some for my tarantula and praying mantis enclosure lights! :)
That was really cool. I love all the set ups and wracks. I'm glad you showed tadpoles. I should be getting my first ones in two days. I can't wait. I'm getting Santa Isabellas. What are those little jars? I set up a 6 quart container with an air stone for when the new pets arrive.
@@NorthernFrogger Thanks for the info on the jars. I got my tadpoles and wow what a great seller gave me way more than I ordered and bunch of plants and stuff too. I posted an unboxing video. So far I have them set up with the almond leaves and java moss and they are doing well. I moved them to a larger bin than the one in my video.
That’s super cool thanks for the info and tips I am already starting my first Bio vivarium but I don’t have frogs yet I’m letting it sit for at least about four weeks to a month to see how everything flourish and I’m also a Canadian as well but in British Columbia
I love your videos. Thanks for giving us your routine of things with your tadpole care and feeding/maintenance. I was wondering, how long do your tinctorious tads take to morph into froglets? I've had some green sips hatch the first of February and just last week they started to pop out their back legs. I might be doing something wrong as a previous frog a couple of years ago took 4 months to morph. 😳 PS. You broke my 💔 when you mentioned your girlfriend. Haha but glad you're happy with her. :)
Thanks! I find they usually morph out in about four months, but sometimes take up to six months. I find temperature and feeding frequency seem to affect how long it takes, but some tadpoles just take to longer than others, even tadpoles from the same clutch will sometimes morph out a month or two apart 🤷♂️
@@NorthernFrogger 😳 oh wow. That definitely seems to be the case. Thank you for your reply. You're an inspiration amigo, I hope you're on your way to successful ventures. :)
Nice plug ;) for the smart plug. I imagine automation, especially with things like the mist king systems, has really helped out with the regular routines. Did getting those lead to you getting more frogs, or were you just doing everything at scale manually before? Hope y'all are doin well through the heat wave, I've heard in some places up there it's hotter than here in Arizona
I've always run some kind of timers on my lights, but I actually misted everything by hand for way too long haha. When I finally got the Mist King it was a big time saver, in hindsight I would have done it way sooner. We made it through the heat wave ok though, we didn't get quite as hot as some places up here, but having AC was a necessity!
I have tried it, there are pros and cons to both methods... I think I've talked about briefly in some videos but I should probably do a proper video comparing them...
It shouldn't really be an issue... If my home wifi network goes down I would lose the ability to manually switch them or modify the timer routines until it comes back, but any routines already programmed will continue to run. If my ISP goes down I would lose the ability to monitor and change things if I'm away from home, but if my phone is also connected to the wifi network I can communicate directly with the plugs without needing an actual internet connection.
Thanks for all the insights into your room
Glad you're liking them, more to come!
I miss you! Hoping and praying that life is going well for you!🙏🏻🐸
Loving the new frog vlog series bud!
Thanks!

Loving these vlogs! Interesting to see the tadpoles and their care. Thanks!
Thank you really enjoyed the video.

Nice, good luck with the new tadpoles! The jars I'm using are the 250ml size mason jars

Gosund is another good smart plug have them running all my tanks works good
I was looking at those ones too! I think I ended up going with Meross just because the shipping was faster
oh sweet its daily
Not quite daily haha, but I'm hoping to do it at least weekly...
I would love an egg care video. I have been unlucky and my eggs start to develop but then they die
Thanks for the suggestion! I will work on that :)
do you supplement with vit a+?
Yes, 1-2 times per month

Do you have to put the tadpoles in separate dishes? Is there a reason for that, aggression?
Ever tried raising them communally?

so what happens if ur local ISp goes down for more then a day , how do ya use the wifi plus ? or will they work without ?
