Sometimes I wonder if his intended target was Betsy Blair. She was there exercising. Did she do that often/daily? Had he seen her there before. Maybe he got off platform 1 to follow Betsy but couldn’t get to her so he decided to take Libby n Abby instead 😢
Possible but not probable- Allen, if he were to follow Betsy with bad intent, would not be aware of any newcomers ahead on the trail. Allen used the bridge as a trap. If Libby & Abby had not shown up at the time they did, Poor Ricky may have just gone home empty handed, so to speak….
@@thomasadrian9854 Agreed! But it's possible if Betsy HAD crossed the bridge, she would have been the victim. I think he planned to do this to anyone who fit his fantasy. Likely young, female, alone (or otherwise incapable of fighting back). I also wonder if he had been to the bridge previously "hunting" for a victim, but the right circumstances didn't present themselves. For all we know, he was there the day before. I would imagine LE has knowledge of any prior visits to the bridge in the recent past.

It's worth noting that a license plate is not required on the front of your car in Indiana. So backing up to the CPS building would prevent anyone from seeing his plate. Also, I really want to know when Richard Allen had last been to the bridge before 2/13/17? Is it possible that he was "hunting" for a victim on previous trips, but the right situation did occur (victim crosses with no one else around, victims are young, alone, etc.). Then I want to know did he abruptly stop going to the bridge for a time?

Thank you for putting this together. I know way back Robert Ives had discussed using your work had he prosecuted the case. A video like this could be so helpful for a jury. Just laying out the facts with visuals for them. Not sure if you are able to or will answer, but any chance you will be involved with the trial? I'm not involved in any of the groups, etc. anymore, but have been following this since the beginning. Just so glad they've found him and hoping that the families will get some form of justice and have some sense of peace.

Imo, RA likely had already been on his “weekend bender” and rolled right into Monday with only 1 thought in mind… go to the Monon High Bridge “to watch the fish.” 😉 Shortly after - his wife having her hands full with a maniac admits him into rehab. I imagine that wasn’t her first time…nor, a second. 💭

I do believe he knew they was gonna be there at that time. Because of the time of day,him bringing gun and whatever else. Witnesses said look like he was on a mission and how unorganized it all was. Would be curious to know if he did know then how long. A day or maybe probably was all the time he took to plan it. Seems poorly planned i guess.
Richard Allen's daughter looks just like Libby...and there were pictures of his daughter wearing the "in memory of Abby and Libby rainbow tye dyed shirt she was wearing that day"
