ashutosh sharma It depends. Our military mostly operates on metric due to its integration with NATO. Obviously, scientific organizations and such use metric, A) because it’s easier and B) international cooperation is smoother that way. But, for the general public we still use imperial measurements for speed/distance, weight, and volume, as well as temperature, though I think Fahrenheit is separate from the imperial system but I could be wrong.
thankfully it does appear metric is slowly becoming more accepted in daily life here in the US. Most measurements I see these days usually have metric equivalents side-by-side with the imperial stuff.

Mostly due to the fact that it was a solution to political and social issues from a century and a half ago, and was outdated by the time the Russians actually tried it. On top of that, it doesn’t account for basic human nature, which is what led to Stalinism and Maoism.
