I've lived in flash flood areas in Tucson, Phoenix, and Mohave Valley Arizona and have seen people lose their lives trying to cross flooded arroyos and small valleys. While that was a small bridge and "crick", flowing water can never be judged and taken advantage of being "safe". Good job not taking a chance.
Hey, JR, I appreciate that you are showing real-life issues and solutions to problems faced by custom builders. making space, finding parts, not finding parts, victories and challenges ... Thanks for the reality.
Yeah, that is 100% enough water to sweep away a car. And there is no way of knowing the road underneath is still intact. JR makes some questionable choices regarding safety, but glad to see common sense can still override that nature.
The relocation bracket ict billet has that turns the coils but keeps them on the valve covers worked for my El Camino. The hooker swap headers also fit perfectly, like, perfectly. You're also going to have to use the Holley a/c box clearance cover too. The g body Elco and S10 are very similar. Oddly tight in some places, stupid amounts of room in other places.

15:56 the u joints are not in phase, thing is gonna vibrate like crazy. Plus you have no slip spacing on your driveshate. You been to have the front drive shaft cut about 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch so the mounting holes line up. Most machine shops can do it for you. You run it like you have it, you're going to have problems.
To run a one piece driveshaft on an xtreme or any other lowered s10 extended cab you have to clearance the cab floor. The angle of the driveshaft means it will contact the rear of cab on lowered extended can trucks. My white xtreme had the rear tunnel raised for clearance. My black one is running a custom two piece since I didn't want to do the cab floor work.

@@bearing_aficionado Left AND right turns, all with different strategies for maintaining correct line and speed, can be intimidating and require SKILL to execute. This can be your practice run for making the ultimate LS Astro van! It will likely be more trouble since the frame is not as easily removed from the body.
It only looks like play because you arent the one doing it for an income. Also getting fired after taking a month long vacation and having your employer see that everything runs fine without you, and thus no point to keep that extra expense, is not retiring.
