What a wonderful job rescuing this thing. I usually don't care for wraps, but in this case it makes a lot of sense and plus the design is amazing. Congratulations on getting everything together.
You, Eric, Jake, and everyone else who touched this beauty really knocked it out of the park. Insane wrap, gorgeous engine bay, and all the right steps taken to make sure this is a very solid, nicely redone truck. Glad to see its almost there!
I loved this series. Checked in everyday to see what's new. Great team effort. I'm sure there were rough times that we didn't see. Great production JR.
And damn did I want to hear it run with the new exhaust system...Great job for a 1 month build. The wrap is sweet, especially with the black grill and bumpers.
You see people like Cleetus engine swap in an LS in 1 or 2, maybe 3 days tops, and you think "I could do that in a week". Then you see someone like JR, who is doing it ALL, like closer to what you would have to do in your backyard but without his shop, lift, and friends, struggle for a month and barely hit the deadlines. It really puts it in perspective the difference between a quick and dirty drive train swap, and a quick and dirty restoration. Cause what you've done to that truck is what 6 month shops would pump 3 or 4 out a year of with matching care and quality. Your "send it" is their "full send" to use Cleetus terms
I live one town over from what claims to be the last Radio Shack in Washington state. It's been a RS for as long as I can remember but it's nothing like the RS of old though they do still sell cell phones. They have an old RS catalog and a list of suppliers who have NOS items and they can sometimes find a genuine RS part or component. They also have several catalogs that interchange RS parts with other suppliers, mainly for electronic things like switches and resistors. They also have a lot of remote control cars, several being actual RS units from back in the day. They even have the free battery a month cards still but you get Rayovac batteries now. I can't complain because they last a lot longer than those old RS batteries ever did. They have a lot of the old advertising and decorations and at Christmas time they dress up the store and it looks exactly like a RS from the 90s during the holidays when they're done. Old Tandy PCs and CB radios and toys and everything! Unless you were a kid in the late 70s and 80s most wouldn't understand the appeal of Radio Shack stores. The yearly catalog came out right before the holidays and I always looked forward to seeing what new cool toys they had and I had a lot of them. I really miss that store in case you can't tell. Congrats on getting the truck finished! Sorry about my novel up there. You brought back many good RS memories.
My 8 yr old granddaughter happened to look up just now...........saw your S-10 project........and said " that's the most beautiful truck she has ever seen........and she is a wicked car girl.........just like Daddy and Grandpap........lol.....great job !!!!
You would never believe that was the same truck, unless you watched this series, and the awesome transformation. I really like the wrap, especially the green, looks good on the ground effects. Great job, all who helped build this scoocum truck. God bless y'all, hope she runs perfect.
I wanted to be present for the LsFest and actually get to meet you guys! The one thing I love about this channel is that there is no profanity... love it!!! Keep it up guys!
When I first saw that wrap, I hated it, I thought it looked ugly and tacky. But now seeing the full finished product, I actually kind of dig it. Now I think it looks weird that the upper part of that front bumper and the grill aren't wrapped. Still, I now get what you were going for when you chose that wrap. It looks good.
If anyone was going to knock it out, I knew it would be you. Good job! I have been watching this channel since you weren't even at a 50k. Glad to see the growth you deserve it. I can respect all your effort and hard work!
MAN! From what you pulled out of the weeds to THIS??? So cool man! You brought it back from the dead! Congrats man! You should be proud of what you've accomplished!
All I can say is wow! I'm super proud of you and everyone there coming together and doing whatever it took to get this done! This speaks loads of you JR and your rep there in your town. When businesses will work you in like that, they like you and see the value in you. I cannot wait to see this thing in action! I have a 2003 Ford Ranger Tremor Edition that JBL has stepped up and sponsored for me. The truck will be going from the 3.0 V-6 to the 2.3 Ecoboost donated from a '17 Mustang. Thank you for this series and all the inspiration!!! I have tons of old school car audio gear that I would love to see you use in that S-10. I mean period correct gear. I need the write-off so I'd be honored to donate to the build! You could do a lightweight simple 5 channel amp setup if you wanted or go crazy with two Savard 15's and several Rockford amps! I got them!
Had the same thing with the wipers happen on my Silverado. It’s the Wiper pulse board. When it goes bad the only thing it recognizes is constant power (high) it was like a $25 part at Oreilly
Congratulations JR and your entire team! So impressed with this build. 👏 The teamwork from everyone to meet such a tight deadline was awesome! Looking forward to the next installment of the S10 Extreme!
Talk about coming down to the wire! What an awesome build... now the fun part is working out the little bugs and kinks in the systems-- I know it will happen! Wish I could be at LS Fest, but I'm looking forward to the videos of the event. Congratulations!
There seems to be a universal human tendency to thrive at crazy deadlines. I've lived through this in school and work, and complained endlessly about how preventable it is. But! I see how it can bring out the best and feel like the ultimate reward.
The resistor block for the blower motor is located in the top of the AC evap box under the hood. The are available everywhere, cost "nothing" and take ten seconds to install. The headlights will be on when the E brake is released. Check the switch up in the E brake pedal.
If the truck has factory delay wipers you have to have the wiper motor with the delay circuit board on it. You can reset the park by disconnecting the battery for a minute or so the reconnect the battery and the park function should be right.
I have watched this video several times now because I think the s10 is now one of the best looking trucks I have ever seen. The wrap looks absolutely amazing and the engine is just a total work of art. It's definitely got the growl to go with the amazing looks. This is one of the best builds I have ever followed and I have enjoyed every video on this fabulous looking truck. Brilliant 👍🙂👍🇺🇲🇬🇧🇺🇲🇬🇧
That motor looks amazing in there I have seriously been looking for one since you started this build. I would call it a mini truck, mini truck thing is awesome.
As amazing as this little Xtreme S-10 looks, it's story makes it even more awesome! You guys literally saved it from the dead. I can't imagine anyone else would have put the effort into saving it that you all did and for that, as someone who loves this generation of S-10s and particularly the Xtremes, I want to say thank you for saving it. It looks and sounds awesome!!!! Very nice job!
The turn signal multi-switch on these S-10s is notorious for going bad. It's pretty easy to replace. I bet that is your windshield wiper problem. It they do stop working, sometimes if you help them along, they'll start working again. You can also try wiggling the rotary switch or moving back and forth between speeds. I had a 1995 S-10 and had my windshield wipers stop while doing about 80-85 on the Florida Turnpike in a blinding rainstorm one time. Talk about a stressful situation..... BTW, regarding the headlights, these trucks had daytime running lights and they were kind-of an afterthought compared to newer vehicles. My truck was older, a 1995 however I wouldn't be surprised if the DRLs are similar on this one. Mine had a dedicated fuse in the fuse box labeled DRL- pop it out and it kills the DRLs. You might want to try that, it may resolve your headlight issue. It could also be another bad switch, too. GM's switches were not very long-lasting when kept in the best of condition during this era and it seems like this truck in particular was just put out to pasture for quite a while before you all saved it so I am sure that didn't help the situation with the poor electrical switches during this era of GM.
Purchase a power bleeder to do the brakes, it will bleed anything in a matter of minutes. Great for maintenance brake flushes too. Great looking build!
It seems like there is room, although probably not time, to run a U pipe out of the throttle body and have the air filter facing backwards on top of the engine.
I used to have a 96 Blazer that the wipers only worked on the high setting and wouldn't turn off once you turned them on until you shut the truck off. The solution was to replace the pulse board in the wiper motor and after that they worked perfectly.
Congratulations man. This was a huge undertaking, and you more than nailed it.
How come you don't buy a car with a rotary engine in it and start calling yourself a notary rotary?
@@ssenssel I had an RX-8 for a little while before UA-cam. But I’m not opposed to getting another rotary car!
What a wonderful job rescuing this thing. I usually don't care for wraps, but in this case it makes a lot of sense and plus the design is amazing. Congratulations on getting everything together.

Everything else but to hear it run 😩why!
I noticed that!!
Teaser. We will get to hear it soon.
ditto!

I was thinking the steering wheel was trash. Love how your IT training comes in handy on auto building. Race to the finish
Absolutely love the LS-10! The wrap is perfect and makes it look like a 90's hot wheels truck. As always JR knocks it out of the park.
love the pride month scheme too. 😂😂🌈🌈
LS-10..... I love that!!!! Nicely done!
Congrats! I knew you guys would get it done in time 👍
What a transition. Very cool!
Let's start a gofundme to get this man some new headlights
As someone who grew up in the 80’s, I LOVE THAT WRAP!!! It screams 80’s!!!!
I live one town over from what claims to be the last Radio Shack in Washington state. Congrats on getting the truck finished! Sorry about my novel up there. You brought back many good RS memories.
The wrap looks like a 80s parachute track suite, I can't get enough. A truck other than, black, white or grey, nice work.
Who ever picked the color scheme for this truck has an epic taste in style. love it
My 8 yr old granddaughter happened to look up just now...........saw your S-10 project........and said " that's the most beautiful truck she has ever seen........and she is a wicked car girl.........just like Daddy and Grandpap........lol.....great job !!!!

Way to go John and Eric for getting the S10 Extreme together. Holy Holly that's a lot of work.

That's one RAD XTREME!!!
AWESOME JOB, guys!!
FAN-tastic!!
Thanks!
Wish u would have went with all stock looking but the motor like what gm should have done
Congrats on getting the truck completed. It's been great watching the progress.
Amazing transformation, and awesome work by you & your crew. Looking forward to the LS Fest installment!
I was a bit skeptical about the wrap but honestly it turned out awesome!! Congrats
That 80's/90's wrap is perfect. Love this build
Amazing turn around time! Great job man 👌🏼 Now for the love of god, buff those headlights out!
I'll be looking out around town for this truck.
It should stick out pretty good.
Great job!
Easily one of the BEST and most engaging transformation builds I've ever seen on YT. BRAVO!
Congratulations to ALL the people involved in the creation of this superb vehicle. An epic job executed with enthusiasm and total enjoyment.
Looks good, JR! Glad to see you got it put together in time!
If anyone was going to knock it out, I knew it would be you. Good job! I have been watching this channel since you weren't even at a 50k. Glad to see the growth you deserve it. I can respect all your effort and hard work!
So fun watching the S10 series. I looked forward to every new video! Great work!
Are there cooling fans ?
The LS-S10 Extreme looks absolutely fantastic. Everybody did an incredible job.
MAN! From what you pulled out of the weeds to THIS??? So cool man! You brought it back from the dead! Congrats man! You should be proud of what you've accomplished!

Amazing! Well done. The consistent videos for us made this even more impressive.
I just bought an 02 S10. I want the LS in it. You have inspired me even more.
Glad to see the Pimp My Ride S10 is finished as it will ever get. Off to LS Fest and then never to be seen again.
Had the same thing with the wipers happen on my Silverado. It’s the Wiper pulse board. When it goes bad the only thing it recognizes is constant power (high) it was like a $25 part at Oreilly
The wrap reminds me of a phone I had back in the '80s and '90s. Love it!
*John Ross Never disappoints!!*
Don Johnson would be proud of that wrap!!! Seriously though nice job!
Your story is an amazing story you went from IBM to building junk but in style because you have a nice shop
Gotta love a radiator that multitasks as an air filter. Your cold air intake system will take care of that though. Good job guys.
I’m old enough to remember when RadioShack was trendy!🤣
there are a few hundred independent Radio Shacks left. I looked at becoming one a few years ago as I used to Manage one in the early 90's.
GC electronics is also still in business.
Nice job now you need the hard tonneau cover with a spoiler and a bed full of subs 90s perfection it reminds me of a Beretta gt for some reason.
Best build on UA-cam in a LONG time
That Truck turned Out AMAZING!!
What an amazing transformation. Well done guys
That exhaust welding....ARTWORK.
Congrats on pulling this build off! And here I was worrying it wouldn't be done in time...
Congratulations JR and your entire team!
So impressed with this build. 👏
The teamwork from everyone to meet such a tight deadline was awesome!
Looking forward to the next installment of the S10 Extreme!

Honestly I'm pretty bored doing anything unless the deadline is the next day... like why even do it, I need a challenge 💯

Never had a doubt that it would get done and look awesome.

Content is King and JR delivers
She’s ALIVE !! Congrats dude ! Love that 90’s throwback look with the wrap and the wheels !! 👍👍
Is JR colorblind? I'm just kind of curious
Congratulations. This was a huge project and you absolutely knocked it out of the park.
I wasn’t sure about the wrap but wow, love it!
You done amazing job on the truck and tell your friend he done a hell of job on the wrap
Awesome project! Great job. I have a soft spot in my heart for S10's . Hands down the most reliable car I've ever owned.
great build guys the entire team at the shop really out did themselves in the last month, nice work.
Great job on the Extreme. I'd love to see more frame up rebuilds. This one has been fun to see come together.
Whoohoo guys you nailed it ....well done .It looks amazing

Great job, y’all!… I think the wiper issue is the wiper pulse board. My ‘99 Astro Van did the same thing.
That motor looks amazing in there I have seriously been looking for one since you started this build. I would call it a mini truck, mini truck thing is awesome.
It's like a modern retro heaven!! LOVE IT!!!
Man this has been cool to watch. Cant wait to see the reactions at LSF

Any consideration about replacing the headlights, even just for appearance?
Dude, huge accomplishment. Looks great and I can't wait to see videos from the event.
Great job. Beautifully done. Love it. Congratulations!!!!
Well Done Guys!! LOOKS SICK!
Congrats, it's like you made a giant Hotwheels car. It almost demands a Mattel logo.
When you bought the wiper blades did they ask you 2WD or 4WD? 🤔
check the headlight switch sounds like an internal short in the switch
Did you fit a fan?
Zack did an incredible job to bring the look together. x 2
You aren’t set up to fail. Well done.
Congratulations to you guys for doing a awesome job!! Ready to see some videos of this thing ripping! 🤙🏻

Malibu Barbie Dream Truck
Yes! It looks great!
I like that wrap more than I thought I would 👍👍
Purchase a power bleeder to do the brakes, it will bleed anything in a matter of minutes. Great for maintenance brake flushes too. Great looking build!
How do you plan on keeping it cool with no fans? No chance in summer traffic without some form of fans.
Ugg, the alignment on the tailgate graphics are way off, what happened?
It seems like there is room, although probably not time, to run a U pipe out of the throttle body and have the air filter facing backwards on top of the engine.
That’s totally awesome, congratulations guys.
Were you able to get the K&N filter to fit?
Erik looked like a little kid when he was backing it out. LOL
