    2:36 - Looks like a creature straight out of the show 'Walking With Beasts' - like entelodont , i'm surprised at the long tail and surprisingly lean build of this beast - the pig has returned to its ancestral form. European boars are more stocky in build - possibly an adaptation to cold weather, but this one looks decidedly Asiatic .

    If a pig got stuck in my yard?
    What i would do is , lightly bread the room temperature hand dried chops in flour seasoned with lemon pepper and pan fry them to a golden brown and serve them with mashed potatoes, beats green beans soaked in butter.
    But here philly there aren't ant wild pigs.

      All you had to do is go behind it with a Marchetti and give it one little wack to the neck

    Shoot it man. thats 100-200lbs of almost free pork right there. I don't see what the fuss is about.

      you can't shoot in residential zones in places like california and hawaii. that's why coyotes and cougars roam hollywood at night, there's no danger.

      Man I am from Africa, I was thinking about this: just go and spear that hog. You came for dinner, well, you become the meal. Roast pig. This is your property . Kill it and eat it. organic hog

      If you are serious about getting rid of the wild pigs,, you need to get the JagerPro or Boar Buster trap they are using on the mainland.

  • @aliceharris1998
    @aliceharris1998 Рік тому +3

    Evidently they don’t want to get rid of them or they would get the circular traps they use on the mainland. Those traps can catch the whole sounder.

    What should you do, if you encounter a ferocious 150lb wild boar in your backyard,open a petting zoo for the neighborhood kids🤕

    Beautiful boar! If you raise them from piglets they can actually make nice pets- that's how they were domesticated after all, and these wild boar in Hawaii (and all over the US) have returned to the wild from domestication. This hog looks several generations removed from the pen.

      Bullet in the head makes for a very good dinner and possibly a pair of shoes, a basketball and football for the kids

      If you get close enough you can spear it or use a nonNFA item to get you some free pork chops. Talking about this guy not piglets

    Kinda weird how people talk about eating the pigs when you can make a pleasing meal out of most dangerous animals. I guess being farmed just brings down your fear factor.

    The poor pig is stuck in the fence, people are so cruel. I have pet feral pig, he's very smart and sweet. I would have pushed a stick through the other side of the fence to help release its tusk where it was stuck and I'm sure the pig would have run away in fear back into the woods.

  • @casshendry
    @casshendry 5 років тому +8

    Good pig hunters will use dogs or themselves to catch that pig and then knife it given firearms cannot be used in that residential zone. Nice size boar it would have made for good eating. Mounting its head as a taxidermist item would be good too as it has good size tusks.

    We just feed them when they come out from the mountains for a couple days, we leave food in a certain spot, they are fearful at first but then they get comfortable and are easier to shoot.

      Yeah wild pork is good eating. We eat them all the time in New Zealand. My dogs and I would have caught that pig and I would have killed it with a knife while the dogs were holding it by the ears. You are right John it does look good to eat. Singe the hair off with a gas torch or fire / cut the under belly into sections and boil them in a pot with potatoes and watercress. Sweet as kai / tucker.
