- I bet this fictional super car was inspired by another racing game: F-Zero. That game's title is even similar to the car's name, "FZR".
Anyways, just watch as I use the F-Zero car with supreme skill and execution to dominate all of the 8 tracks in the game against Class A cars on advanced difficulty using the Wild driving dynamics, all in this one video.
Also, for whatever reason, the audio got off sync with the video. That's never happened before. Great.
No matter how fast you are, there is always a McLaren F1 right behind you as fast as you make a single mistake.
It's been 4 years so my memory isn't clear. But imma say that I made some mistakes on purpose like the bridge jumps for shits and giggles and totally not from my own error

I don't know why nobody is commenting that opponents get bonus in this game as soon as you are first. Applies to multiplayer also. Regardless of speedometer showing the same speed second will overrun the first. In nfs 3 that doesn't exist no longer. My brother noticed that👍👍
@@jhutfre4855 you mean catch up? I remember toggling that playing split screen with my brother. My brother actually broke a lap record because I was a lap ahead of him on Proving Grounds and he landed a perfect lap while on catch up. To this day I’ve never beaten that record unless maybe he’s a lap ahead of me lol
@terminhaider9695 Exactly! That definitely did exist, both in single player and multi player. In a whole lap I wouldn't be surprised he got up to 20 sec.

I bet that if you put the FZR2000 against the fastest cars in recent NFS installments, such as the Hennessey Venom GT or the Koenigsegg One:1, it would still obliterate them.
in NFS Rivals: the Hennessey Venom GT is capable of reaching 275 mph whereas in this game, the FZR 2000 only reaches 265.
However, you could still be right about the FZR's dominance because it also has stupid amount of grip. The FZR according to any racing game meta could possibly be the most overpowered vehicle ever made in a video game lmfao

I was saying according to the metric system that it is 10km/hr slower than the Henessey Venom GT but it still beats all other hyper cars such as the Agera R, Reagera, One:1, Bugatti Veyron 16.4/ 16.4 Supersport and other hyper cars.
@@terminhaider9695 Replying to a post from 2 years ago, yay. Anyway, the Redbull X2010 in Gran Turismo 5 might be able to defeat the FZR 2000. The X2010 has a slightly lower top speed (~257 mph) but it seems like it has even more grip than the FZR. Would be interesting if there was some way to compare the two on the same track.

In Rivals, the One:1 can reach a top speed of 453 km/h (281 mph) with Nitrous/Turbo (tested multiple times), so there's that.
In GT6, you also had the X2011 alongside the X2010 (in GT5 as well if you had DLC), which was slightly even faster than the X2010, and it could reach well over 280mph, making it an absolute track monster...
But the title of most overpowered car has to go to the Tomahawk X, also in GT6, which could easily go way over 400mph and still take corners like a madman, able lap the Nordschleife in under 3 minutes.

TerminHaider yes indeed. With the pioneer cheat cars would get even more speed on the final gear. I would beat my friends with this "idea" and yes this was in simulation mode

We played it both: in network, but also on one computer with split-screen. In split-screen cheats worked. So my friend chose a slow car and I pushed him with a fast car. His speedometer went higher than usual. 😄

I wonder why the Last Resort (Mexico) track was never included in the Playstation console version of Need For Speed 2. It has tunnels on it, and I love tunnels, so is there a way to upload that track to the old Playstation game of Need For Speed 2?
Sadly the "Special Edition" of this game which features these bonus cars and the Mexico track was only released for Windows 98 back in the day 6 months after the standard edition. PlayStation only had the standard edition. Special Edition adds reverse, mirrored tracks, the "wild" physics, a few more cars, Romulus 3 Menu Soundtrack and some cheats I think

Modern technology should make a car like this pretty easily. The more I think about it though, it seems a lot of the design elements would get pretty ruined to adhere to damn safety regulations or something like that :/

You need to beat the knock out tournament, by not finishing last in eacht race, as several cars will be dropped out, and beat the last car in a new track as well, which track you will also unlock

Guys, FZR actually has much better top speed than you expected, in smulation mode, you can change the gear settings and this gives the car less torque but more top speed.
With this method, you can accelerate the mighty FZR 2000 to a whopping 506 km/h (314 mph) with pioneer cheat code. This is faster than Bugatti Chiron SS`es 491 km/h (305 mph) So FZR is still cannot be beaten by today`s vehicles after 25 years.
FZR can only do +450 km/h (279 mph) without pioneer, this is actually because of the roads. There is no track in the game that has long enough straight to FZR 2000 to achieve that top speed.
I think it`s top speed will be beaten real soon because there are freaking cars out there. But it`s track performance will never be beaten. At least in our lifetime. So the game settingers had incredible imagination.
FZR was my favorite car, but McLaren F1 was actually even better. When I learned how great McLaren F1 is, I have more respect for this incredible machine. It could race with a FZR 2000 despite FZR 2000 being an imaginary car with unlimited amounts of advantages.
And it is still the fastest naturally aspirated engined vehicle with a top speed of 391 km/h (242 mph) and in 98, it avaraged 386 km/h (239 mph) which is even faster than it was featured in the game. The reason that in the game the McLaren was limited only with 373 km/h (231 mph) is that before game was relased in 97, McLaren was already broke the record, avaraging 373 km/h (231 mph) in 1993.

man NFS blows now. In 2019, a Triple A racing title that doesn't have a dedicated PvP mode when even this game has PvP lmao. However, the broken Porsche in Heat is basically the FZR

@@AJ6spd If you haven't bought it yet, but are interested, I'd highly recommend waiting for a big sale cause this game is absolutely not worth the price of a triple A title. The only selling point this game has is decent customization and cop chases. I wish there was another good cop vs racer game that was actually good. Then Heat would be the most obsolete racing game of its franchise in the current gen.
