The Game and Video which introduced me to the McLaren F1. That's when i first saw the car and immediately fell in love with it. And as of today its still my favourite car by FAR! Nothing comes even close absolutely nothing.

I love how the Ford GT90 and Indigo were undrivable so they had to improvise. The GT90 video still looks impressive, but it's hilarious how they had to wing it with the Indigo.
@@Firemarioflower but the Veyron is Quad Turbo for a Reason. Its a W Engine which is like 2 V Engines so it has 4 Banks. 1 Turbo for each Bank which is pretty much required.

I grew up with nfs high stakes but I also had this game too, played it more than nfs hs because of the off the walls physics. I miss obsessing over cars as a kid
Back when "super" cars were just over steering window maker messes and drift attempts were death sentences. But hey flashing editing and beep boops let the mind imagine they weren't really quite bad. but evocative and shiny they nailed.
It's *modern* cars that oversteer because they put way too much torque into the rear wheels that make them impossible to control without at least TCS (I'm looking at you, Sweden!). Cars like the McLaren F1 handle amazing because while it has over 600 horsepower, it doesn't have a ridiculous amount of torque. I've played both sim racing like BeamNG and Project CARS 2 but even in simcade games like Forza Horizon 5, I can master the McLaren F1 and make it stick to the road or drift it on command with all assists turned off, while the Koeniggsegg Jesko just plain oversteers without TCS turned on. Don't get me wrong, I love extreme hypercars like the Jesko and Regera but I *need* traction control to at least drive them competitively.
all of them are great but i just wanted to see that footage of the jaguar xj or whatever its called, i cant belueve they slapped need for speed leicense plates on them for these videos👍
If I could have between the Mclaren or all the other cars I would take the Mclaren. You could sell the Mclaren buy all the other cars and still have millions left over

I think Pitchshifter & Enter Shikari did a sterling job through the 2000’s too, but nothing will beat the original NFS tracks for that combination :)

All the cars felt like a character introduction but then there's the Mclaren F1 ( 6:21 ) that just feels like a straight up boss fight.
The lights turning on followed by the doors opening in pitch black always gave me the chills

back in the days drivers didn't require a ton of computing systems to stay on the track you mean?
