What a wonderful enchanting video this week . Great adventures and full of laughs over dinner which eventually looked yummy. Lovely views and great humour but fir me the best moment was little Twigs waking up out of her little carry bag and thrilled to see you in the morning , what a delight she is . Thank you it was a lovely half hour. Stay charged….💕💕
Thanks Linda. It was a truly magical morning which I can still taste
You said it Tim, just mesmerising! A totally stunning place. Thank you so much guys for the work you both put into making these videos. I really enjoy them. 🙏👍
Thanks Andy. It was very magical
BONJOUR😊😊TO YOU BOTH & TWIGGY🎉🎉🎉❤I HAVE BEEN THERE!! QUIET & MAGICAL😊😊I AM HEADING TO CAMARGUE NEXT THURS!!! celebrating our 35th Marriage!!! Staying at a CASTLE❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lovely. La brigue was magical that morning
One of your best videos yet, stunning place, nice slow food restaurant 😉and topped with a great drone video!
Thanks Lars it was a special place
This channel is the best advert for French tourism and living. They'd do well to double your battery and give you dispensation for a higher top speed. Mon Ami En Voyage
We could be canaries down the mine!
Tim you’ve missed your calling, your quips have me in stitches 😂😂….”not expecting food immediately…within the hour”…🤣🤣……”them were the days” re the tomatoes…😂😂. Great video as usual lads👍🏻!!
Thanks very much
Beautiful village, but crikey that's a sleepy existence up in the quiet part.
Really enjoyed that chaps!
Yes the winters may be long but on a morning like that…
La Brique was hypnotic… reminded me of Lauterbrunnen. The only thing missing from the village was a thundering waterfall cascading down the cliff! Sorry you were detained at the restaurant, however good the food, I would find the wait unacceptable and not leave a tip. I expect good service at one when I go out to dine. Your drone shot of the village as usual, stole the scene! Looking forward to another adventure next week.
It was truly magical that morning
La Brigue is a truly special place, very authentic and unspoiled. I really enjoyed this episode and look forward to a new adventure!
Thanks Henk it really is unspoiled I loved it
Ask not for whom the bell tolls... Another beautiful town.
It really is
Another wonderful adventure packed full of great food, stunning views, relaxing banter and nob gags. Love it, many thanks for making the effort to put this together so beautifully!
Nob gags! Thanks very much.
Great views. I am surprised that this sunny village has no solar panels at all. Electric charging stations, yes. Your “auberge” should have them and no squeaky doors.
Yes it was pretty good on chargers
Lovely film thanks chaps. Kisses to Twiggy.
Thanks she sends a lick back
Beautiful trip. In spite of the long waits for your dinner, it was amazing. Thanks so much for taking me along for the ride.
Thanks
plus 30 minutes of pure joy, another great Sunday video with amazing views and a long waiting restaurant lol
thanks folks for such a lovely video, you guys rock!!!
Thanks very much it was a fab place
Your becoming experts at filming these beautiful villages although my memories of the area brings a tear but a happy tear🥲😍
Thanks and I’m glad we’ve brought back memories
I’m like a total child with your videos. I keep stopping them to do something for a few minutes and then I come back to continue. And I keep looking at the time passing to see how much time is left. It’s all about delaying the inevitable. I don’t want them to end. Hahaha! I’m only at 4:54 and by the comments, (which I’ve read already), seems I have wonderful things ahead, but I’m savoring, savoring... I’m guessing that I’ll be meeting you guys in the pub after this one. 😊
Thanks very much
Fabulous video guys, beautiful village and church, and you needed the patience of a Saint waiting for that yummy dinner ❤️
Patience of a saint with no choices!
@@MeandMonAmi 😀😀
Hilarious to see you two walking out of that restaurant, three sheets to the wind as they (don't) say in Huddersfield. Great to see somewhere off the main tourist trails that still has some original French character.
We were sober as judges!;
Hi from Blackpool ,Thoroughly enjoy your adventures, what are the two main french songs you use ,once you get them in your head can't stop singing them thanks
La belle époque and les figures by devils sway
Another fab video viewed by myself, a fellow Wezzie, from my lovely mountain village in Spain. Greetings from myself, Ralph the Lurcher and Kevin the cat. All three of us are immigrants here from the UK. Look forward to your videos every week! Brilliant!
Thanks. Where are you?
Another great video guys, thanks for dinner, stunning town 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks Bobby. Really stunning place
Your videos are the very best therapy! Using familiar driving music and drone (so to speak) music adds to the enjoyment. Full marks for waiting to be served at the restaurant. I would have left after 30 minutes, and/or lost my appetite.
I did but the only other restaurant in the village was full.
brilliant editing - very well conceived - your waiting experience - amusing and teally made us feel for you !
Thanks Bill. It actually went on a full ten minutes but that may have stretched the viewer patience!
Stay Sunny! Thank you Beautiful
Liz
Thanks Liz
Yes a great video boys, you two are real foodies. I do wonder sometimes though whether your return journeys are less harrowing with less charging but I think you generally don’t cover the return journey. Does Elton have any regeneration?
What a fantastic place you took us to this week, really beautiful. I would have liked to have seen a bit of the train museum 😀 The service in the restaurant was a joke but at least the food was good when it eventually arrived, I wouldn't have known what the food was like as I'd have left after about 40 minutes. Thanks chaps, that was another brilliant video.
I did but the only other restaurant in the village was full
Hi lads from Spain. Just as in Spain, one goes to these village churches and they are full of treasures but the parishioners live like paupers. One thing I like is they are so peaceful, having their own little bit of garden where they grow such amazing vegetables and fruit and they sell their surplusses to those who are not endowed with their own piece of gardening heaven. We get a lot of our fruit from the lady a few doors away who sells their surplus produce from the garage. I bought some beautiful green figs and Victoria plums the other day.
Oh for sure but I love the theatricality of them
30 minutes of top class entertainment in this episode, very enjoyable thank you.
Thanks very much
One of the best ones yet. Thank you. It is really like being there.
Thanks Chris
PS insulation cuts hot or cold- not so cold in winter, not so hot in summer (the nhs/lifeguards etc use mylar - ally-foil 'blankets' instead of traditional ones for patients who need warming up...reflective insulation)
Thanks that makes sense
That certainly was the most magical village you have shown us . The small wooden hut you saw was a “ Bug hotel “ they are also in U.K. . They offer bug and breakfast ,I hear . The colours of the buildings are so magical. Keep up the good work .
They also have an ugly bug ball every year …( burl ives ) Disney .
It was truly magical that morning
Yes, in the States, people make them for mason bees, a solitary bee that doesn't make honey. Native pollinators, their environment is running low on habitat.
Hello Sean again. Glad to see another installment to enjoy. What's there not to enjoy. There's so much to see. All the history facts, the food, the views and of course mostly the hosts. Once again thanks and may it continue. Sean.
Thanks Sean.
We went to a restaurant like that in Spain (Jalon), although we were given pan y alioli whilst waiting (a long time) for our starters. A 5 course meal which took hours 😂. Best to take your own snacks if you go again
We didn’t get even a sniff of a bread stick!
@@MeandMonAmi I hope Twiggy was ok.
Tim, great vlog. I am so glad you took Mr. Boo on this journey and not the refrigerator! 😀
Thanks. Wouldn’t have been the same going away with a fridge
@@MeandMonAmi True so true. I mean a day without Mr. Boo is like a day without sunshine! 😃
Reason Mr Boos Meal took so long to get there was the Chef had to go Truffle Hunting haha
Another wonderful trip out to a beautiful place, lots of giggles along the way ,great fun ,thank you ❤
Thanks very much
Hilarious to see Mr Boo pissed after the never ending meal… At least he had a selection of small holdings to admire the following morning. Oh and a coq!
The American sense of pissed?
@@MeandMonAmi Both - pissed and pissed off 🤣
You're a nice couple. Even funnier when a bit tipsy 🤣
Once Elton looses his appeal, you could try to rent a smallholding and grow your own tomatoes - i would watch it as well when you start a gardening channel...
I’d love a small holding (can you tell!)
First time watching your video. Beautiful place. I loved the way you both presented your lovely trip to the mountains. I certainly will be watching the other videos. Cheers from the USA.
Welcome and glad you enjoyed! There are many more mountain villages
The first hut type, is either a Bumble Bee hive or Beetle home. Forgot the posh name.
Ah that makes sense!
The posh name is a Bug Hotel. 🙂
I’ve stayed in one of those
@@ShinyHelmet I knew it was something posh. Since 2021 my brain has not been so good, and since hitting 75 a couple of days ago. It’s probably get worse.
Ha, how gloriously French dining, made for great tv though, the entrance to the hotel was beautiful.
It was magical
Love your Uncles tomato growing tactic, Tim !
He was a great horticulturist
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Comforting to know it’s not just me who books slow food restaurants.
This took slow to new levels
What a wonderful village, I really enjoyed this one. I had a similar dining experience in Spain last week on a bike ride out of Girona. After an hour and a half, I'd received my non-alcoholic beer and my starter. I gave up and left!
Good to know it’s not just us!
Wonderful! You were both very restrained……I would have downed a full litre of red by myself if I’d had to wait that long in the restaurant!
Next time!
Great ditty as always! Thank you!
My pleasure!
Thank you for the lovely video. Don't think I could wait all that time for dinner though!!
Thanks Tim
Nothing underhand in this place🤔 but certainly intriguing
Mister Me and Mister Boo and Elton and Twiggy 🐶🐕❤ what a terrific approach to the hotel ❤ what a beautiful village ❤food looked delicious & the looks on your faces waiting...bloody priceless! You could have doied of starvation waiting 😂😂 the church mesmerising 😊drone footage topped off a,terrific vlog 👌excellent vlog Tim had everything stay well and stay charged 👍 🎉
Thanks David. It was a Utterly mesmerising morning
...a friend described my neighbour's pig's relatively newly-born piglets as about 'baguette'-size...nice..(I did ask what size they roughly were..)
It was about that big
That was the best half hour of television we’ve watched this week. Brilliant guys…the dinner looked scrummy, and we absolutely loved the drone footage at the end.
We watch you every week and are amused at how hot it gets inside your Ami.
Why don’t you make a simple wind deflector…out of a piece of plastic, that you can attach to your open windows, that when pointed slightly outwards allows air to come into the car….bit like when you put your hand out of the window and bend it so air comes inside. Sure you know what I mean. Back in the sixties, they used to have little triangular windows on the front edge of the car doors, that when opened, caused air to come inside the car. Stay safe guys ! All the best from Dorset…..Des and Shirley.
What a great idea and now you mention it I can see them on older cars. I shall get my 3d printer out!
Just WOW. Thanks for the journey.
Thanks glad you enjoyed
You two crack me up.. 😅😅😅.. fantastic 👍
Thanks Paul
Ahhahaahahahah I love u, guys, but as allways Mr. Boo’s faces are the best!!! Need meet you
Thanks!
Fantastic Mehari. It looks like a series 1.
It’s certainly seen some service
Double the height of biggest mountain in Scotland , Ben Nevis 4400 feet :) what a lovely village , thankyou for sharing your adventures :)
Wowzer is that true?!
@@MeandMonAmi yes twice the height of Ben Nevis and that is a hard slog, you need to give yourself 8 hours up and down then couple days recovery :)
We were just talking about the potential benefits of using urine to fertilise fruit and veg and there you go - you spoke about your uncles use for recycled Tetley Bitter 😂🍅 there's synchronicity for you!
Uncanny!
Beatiful and charming video as usual. Twiggy super cute. Seems like you guys never tried to have a coffee in one of the beach bars in Nice. Average timing is 20 minutes to place your order, 20 minutes wait for your coffee, 20 minutes to get your bill and up to half an hour to get your change. I suggested they apply for the Guinness Book of Records entry as the slowest slow coffee city in the world. The same procedure in Italy takes about 45 seconds total and they even smile at you too. :)
And the coffees better!
Great to see the return of the double entendres! I counted two. Did I miss any?🐓🎹
We get told off for too many!
Love it, thank you very much ❤👍
Thanks very much
One of your best videos!
Thanks Julie it was a magical place
Brilliant episode ❤!
Thanks very much
@@MeandMonAmi thanks for having us too, we love your channel and we obviously hope it keeps going from strength to strength, im absolutely sure if you stick at it you’ll definitely be successful, I for one can’t get enough of it!
Thank you and thanks to Mr Boo too, oh and thanks to your cute little dog as well.
Stay Sunny mr Boo😂
AMAZING!
Thanks
What a beautiful video 😊
Merci
I’m so envious of your adventures! One day I dream of moving to the south of France and roaming around in an ami!
Just don’t make videos about it as you’ll have no free time!;
Another wonderful video. 😊 Thank you.
Thanks very much
Nice series 1 Citroen C3
Not a méhari then?
certainly don't rush in France...
Indeed
Another great video guys 👍 That looks an amazing village and setting 😎
It’s stunning
The Cemetery - dead centre of town as my grandma used to say 😉

That bridge and hotel were straight out of a Wes Anderson movie. Also, if that pork was indeed cooked sous vide, that would explain the hour wait. Sous vide is not quick! Of course, your other observations were worthy. I'm surprised that the restaurant was even open on a Monday night. Anyway, I watch all your videos. I'm so glad you're able to make these trips. My trip to Nice this month fell through unfortunately. I had a little map of all your restaurants! Perhaps I can return next May.
It was an hour to even order it! I cook sous vide all the time at home and love it. A shame your trip fell through. Maybe next year?
@@MeandMonAmi I hope to come back next year. I will live on your videos until then.
Are there....taxi's in La Brigue? ;)
Must be but didn’t see any!
That was an excellent one Tim & Mr Boo, well done! What an adventure. Not impressed with the restaurant. Were there bars there? Were there people there? Very impressed with Twiggy, such a lovely dog!
One other restaurant that night but full. It’s a fab village. I just want an allotment there!
If I had a £ for every time you said smallholding lol 😝
I love a small holding!
@@MeandMonAmi haha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️👏🏼🙌💐🇬🇧
Very funny guys… a whirlwind tour of your small holdings.. with chickens and a cock or two thrown in.. keep up the good work!
Thanks. A glorious place
Mario Lanza‘s wife was called Betty Just saying
Betty!
So enjoyed this episode . Can you share, if you had a gasoline vehicle, how long would this trip take vs an EV ??
Well it would be the same if we had a normal ev but obvs ours is not really built for this kind of travel as top speed is 45km and range is 75km
Hold it, hold it, hold it. What was that? Did my eyes deceive me? Did you actually pass another vehicle? So tell us, how did that completely new experience feel? :)
It was a digger!
you overtook a car ! must be a first !
I think it was a digger!
Hi Love all your videos, and also your French female backing song, would love to know the title of it ? Cheers Bill
Thanks Bill. It’s les figures by the devils sway
Many thanks for that Tim.👍@@MeandMonAmi
We are all very jealous of your life right now🥰
If you’d seen me editing this you may not have been!
❤nice Ami climbing! Now my Citroen AMI have loose 2 kilometres after 2 days in parking and I’m wondering if this normal or battery capacity decrease, outside temperature is 18C.
We occasionally lose one if it’s very cold but was this the minimum at night?
@@MeandMonAmi Yes, at night the minimum temp was 18C, that happens 3-4 months now, if AMI not used for 2-3 days lose 2 km of capacity.
Another brilliant video but I have to say I'm fed up with the soundtrack.
Can't we have a bit of those well known Francophiles, Chas & Dave for a change? !!!
Copyright protected sadly
And there was I thinking you were probably not fans.
Stay charged!

What's with the breast badges? 😂
Mics
got my new car citron c1 but came down with a virus
Oh no!
Did he pee on the actual tomatoes or just in the pot? 😳🤭
I think both but he’s had seven pints to accuracy may have been an issue
Name the restaurant so we don't go there.
Les fleur des Alpes. Food was good
Good channel. Better without the camp jokes.,🤔
The nob gags made me laugh out loud, but then, I’m such a child 😂
You said something you were eating was al'denta. I bought Toffee once in France but never again. It may have been the heat but it was stick'adentures. Never again. An Excellent, Beautiful and Entertaining Episode. Well done my Friends. 🚙
My dentas left long ago!
