  • Tangsuyuk is a Korean-Chinese crunchy dish that consists of pieces of fried pork coated in a jelly-like sweet and sour sauce filled with colorful fruits and vegetables.
This was always my #1 favorite dish when I was young!

Maangchi! ❤ I‘ve made your Tangsuyuk and it‘s sooo crispy and delicious, I went and bought another batch of meat to fry and freeze! Will be amazing refried in the air fryer for a quick lunch with rice, or midnight instant noodles 😋 Thank youu 😘

+Maangchi Hi! Did you dip the pork in soy sauce when you tasted it? If it's not soy sauce, may I ask what you used as your dipping sauce?

+RageNiikura Well I usually just dip the pork in the sauce she made but the soy sauce thing was a mixture of soy sauce and vinegar

Maangchi, with the starch and water you made a non Newtonian fluid! Its something that reacts like a solid under force but like a liquid if you gently touch it. 😗

Definitely gonna try it, thank you Maangchi ♡

There are so many cooking channels on UA-cam these days. I think what makes Maangchi's show so awesome and unique, is how much attention she pays to details😺 The organization of the ingredients, her cutting skills, the camera work, lighting, her genuine passion and sincerity for cooking, how she makes every recipe look so easy...10/10 points on all levels!! 👍Plus I love how adorably dressed up she gets for each episode 😋 get a cooking show already Maangchi!! 😄

If you can’t wait 1.5hr for the potato starch to sink down, you can try not stirring the starch after u add water. Slowly add in water so that the starch is not mix all over. Poke few hole using fork on the starch. Wait around 5 min for the starch to hydrate then pour away the water. This is for lazy ppl like me 🙊

I just tried this recipe and it just won my family over!!! My fam is Korean and they're super picky with Korean food. I ended up adding more starch to the sauce to make it super thick. The pork came out RIDICULOUSLY crunchy. Can't thank you enough for this recipe. :) THANK YOU! I'm making this again soon for my sister's bday per family's request.
