I am a bright spring. Now I understand that better. Tomato red and bright orange are my absolute best colors, along with chrome yellow and gold. But royal blue is also great. I have an olive green and red shawl that takes years off me. My skin is peach, my hair has gold tones and my eyes are dark but with olive starburst. Gold jewelry all the way! Somehow seeing the contrast made the whole idea click. I wear orange or gold lipstick a lot. I thought I was autumn because of the warm tones, but nope I need high contrast and saturation. I would love to see a comparison between Bright Winter and Deep Winter. I am having a hard time determining which one is best for me. I feel like I can borrow from some of the cool colors of Deep Autumn. I have rust, gold, and green in my eyes with a cool undertone to my skin, but I tan a very golden color on the surface. I do not look good in RED or YELLOW. But I can wear cranberry, pink, magenta, fuchsia, purple, teal, and blues. I look best in black with no makeup, and I prefer to see a more pinks in a natural, sheer or shiny color on my lips to bring out my eyes. Deep red or over saturated hues overpower me.

I would highly recommend going to a thrift shop and trying to identify colors in your possible season and holding them up to your face while looking in a mirror. Preferably with sunlight as your light source. Do you see a change? The correct colors shouldn’t change your face, they should make you appear healthy and full of life!

This was totally relatable. All my life I typed myself as a bright spring and it did work for me cuz I usually wore neutral vivid shades. It was only last yr I took a professional color analysis session and got typed as a bright winter. I'm so happy with my new found style now.

I have come to the conclusion that I am a Bright Winter and I find myself wondering if I may be a Bright Spring instead. However when I wear warm colors I begin to have more of a hue on my skin. I used to think I had a bad complexion, looked too red or too pale and was self-conscious about all these “flaws.” It turned out I was just wearing the wrong colors! When I wear colors in my palette, those flaws and dull skin tone disappear, or at least are not the focus.
I don't know if you can edit a thumbnail's colour but I thought even from that, that BW colours looked better. And then the orange came out...definitely BW. I've been reading and watching so much about seasonal colour analysis, I'm pretty solid on winter but I keep pinging back and forth between sub-seasons...I struggle telling light vs soft colours apart in person (not necessarily wearing them), so mostly have dark stuff and no colour. So really just neutrals. That's also why I was sold on DW first, but then realised some lighter colours actually look pretty good on me. I'll keep watching your BW content, hopefully I can learn more.

But now I know I am a bright winter, I can hopefully add some more shades as I get to know my full palette... I got mine with my professional color analysis, but I believe you can buy one like mine from True Colour International’s website. It is a little pricey, but they are made with archival canvas to retain their color for a long time.

All of my clothes I look best in are from the winter palette, purchased years ago before I knew the system existed. Somehow when I buy cool toned lipstick it doesn’t work for me though. A stranger once told me on social media I am a bright summer based on a tiny profile photo, though oranges do to my skin basically what they do to your skin here.

You know you’re right, I had just gotten a light kit and wanted to try it out but I think it would have been nice to see in daylight. Maybe I’ll do an update video that shows that for the proof! As far as sister seasons go, it’s honestly amazing how being one season off can look so not right- though, I will say it is better than putting me in something like soft autumn or light spring which are so far away from bright winter.

It’s a lot of thrifting and searching for specific colors online- I’ll definitely do a video on this because it’s so tricky to find bright winter colors in stores regularly unless there’s a special “it” color of the season, like hot pink has been for a moment now. So much inventory is just beige beige beige!! And I love the beige aesthetic, I think it looks cool and amazing, but it makes me look dead. You have to be very intentional with minimalist clean girl and bright winter. But I digress… I look pretty much everywhere I can and I only buy if it’s in my color season and works for my style and body/image ID.
That’s a good question- I think I lean a little more cool so True or Cool Winter would be the next best, but it still looks too heavy and not bright enough on me. I can get away with some bright spring too if it is a color that is leaning more purple, pink, or blue- definitely not yellow-orange. I tend to look a little ill when the color is too warm. But overall bright winter is what makes me really pop!
It's been so hard to find my season, but we're pretty sure I'm a bright spring. My skin is neutral leaning cool (which is what has made it difficult), but I've got dark mahogany hair and cognac brown eyes (so that clear gold red brown). My mother and sister are dark winter. I look better with orange based reds and my sister looks better with berry red. I look better with green that leans yellow, where my sister looks better in green that leans blue, but i can wear gold or silver and it looks right.
Sounds like bright winter? Try honing in on the actual temperature differences between the two because we can confuse ourselves not differentiating that important subtlety. I know i have 😅 theres lots of bright spring vs winter comparisons on pinterest. ❤

They were close for me but the big deal breaker was that orange 😂 its so horrible.

I think you wear both. Bright winters can steal colors from their sister colors. I am a Bright Winter and I can wear orange and some reds.
If you became blonde, you’d be bright spring because none of those colours look terrible on you.

Cool is dominant in Bright Winter though- it’s a cool neutral season so just a hint of warmth but not much.
