Nice review, David! Based on your impressions, these seem to have a lot in common with the TRN BA5. That might make for an interesting comparison. Have a good day!

Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed the review.
Thanks for talking about the depth issue. I got the CA4 as a backup for my cans on the job and was disappointed by the depth on them. I was considering trying the C12 for my primary set because I like the portability, but I’m not going to spend the 250% markup if the depth is not improved. I’m sure the frequency response is much better but the lack of depth will annoy the living snot out of my nostrils.

Respected Sir, Could you please tell me this is any better than zs 10 Pro?
LOVE YOUR REVIEW! I'm definitely subbing! I'm planning to change my c12 stock cable to 16 cores cable. What do you say? Will it work? Or should i just go with the 8 cores?
Awesomeness. Thanks for subscribing, glad you enjoyed the video. Cables can change sonics subtly but I am not sure about the C12 as I didn't swap cables.
Good video! I currently have Blon-03, and what i am trying to find is a good low-end bassy IEM for when i play drums on my electronic drum set, so clarity is appreciated but i also want that low end, close to a good rumble, but not exactly skull shaking, would these CCA C12s give me more bass over the Blon-03s? Or recommend a good IEM that fits what I am seeking? Thanks! I'm also a recent subscriber.
Thank you for the kind words, greatly appreciated.
The bass is very similar on the C12 and BL-03 with the CCA a little more detailed and better resolving. The C12 has more forward mids and accentuated treble but the tone and timbre is not as warm and pleasing as the BL-03.
Just bought the c12, waiting to arrive, I just can't stand the highs in zsn pro, I hope the treble in c12 dont hurt my ears. Thanks for the review
I look forward to hearing your impressions of the C12 after you get them.

Whats the verdict?
@@MrAwesomeaditya C12 is much better in the treble, still looking for a more smooth trebles, but C12 is one of the best if not the best IEM that I have. Good bass, nice air, ok separation, very fun to listen to. Is my main driver. Much better than the others KZ that I have, seems more balanced. Totally recommend it.

I just came across your video. Like your honesty. And I like how you take your time. What your take on the kz zs10 pros. That's alot of drivers.
I haven't heard the KZ ZS10 Pro. I should get a pair in for review at some point.
Thank you for the kind words, greatly appreciated.
I have both! Both are nice! Pro has a nice mid tuning and extended treble, C12 has a complete and mature sound. I keep both.
That sounds exactly what I want and since Sundara I know I can trust your hearing.
Question is, these or the Jade Audio EA1 ??
Ups: Just saw your Jade Audio review, this question has already been asked at the comments
You prefer the EA1 obviously, I guess the Berillyum Driver did this to you?
Hi David, for soundstage, imaging and clarity would you recommend the CCA C12 over the Blon BL-03?
Thanks for the review, very informative!
Also which do you recommend overall?
The Blon has better depth and layering, the C12 has more width. I like the mids on the BL-03 but overall the C12 is technically better.

Yes I would rec the C12 over the BL-03.

@@wanaboed great I love it, I never use more than 10$ earphone its my 1st expensive iem so I can't compare or anything but I love this iem really great
Hey Dave, just wanted to drop a quick note to say that I am enjoying these C12s actually more than the Moondrop Starfield. The only exception is female jazz vocalists, where I prefer the Starfield. So my question for you... do you ever still listen to the C12s? To give you an idea of the style I prefer, I sold my HD600s after using them for 15 years and always wanting more bass (I also bought a couple of expensive and well reviewed DAC/Amps, but that didn't solve the lack of bass to my ear... to replace them I bought the HD58x drop/Senn and that hit the spot perfectly for me, including straight out of my iphone dongle.
I am glad you enjoy the C12. I totally understand about the female jazz vocalists. To be honest, I haven't listened to the C12 in a long time.
Great review, i have a ZSNpro and was considering to upgrade to CCA12. I think it’ll be a nice upgrade, don’t you think?
C12 will be an upgrade and a compliment at same time. Slight difference in sound signatures.
thank you

Hey! Nice review! Instant sub! Did you hear Sennheiser IE8/80/80s and/or KZ ZSX? As weird as it may sound, I think I liked KZ ZSX (5BA+1DD from CCAs sister company) more than my 7 times more expensive IE80 and thinking of getting them as a replacement/sidegrade. But then I found out about CCA C12, that are supposedly a bit less sibilant/harsh in treble, slightly warmer mids, basically slightly less V shaped than ZSX. Do you have any experience with Senns or ZSX? Which of the three did you like the best? Thanks!
Thank you for the kind words and subscribing.
I unfortunately do not have any experience with the Sennheiser IE80 or the KZ XSX. But I do love the CCA C12.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Thanks! I think I might get them... a little bit worried if they have enough bass, that lowest sub-bass "feel" that I value so much
The sub-bass is present but it isn't that deep, feel it in the chest type, it is more linear and detailed then impactful. But I find it to be plentiful and very musical for my music needs and desires.

I own and really like the sound of the CCA C12. With that in mind, Is there an upgrade that you could recommend? Also, from what I've heard, the Tripowin Mele might be a good candidate, any thoughts? TIA
Mele is more laidback, has less energy and sparkle in the treble. Two to consider that are more expensive but have some similarities are the 7hz Timeless and Moondrop Kato.
@@TheHonestAudiophile
Thanks for the recommendations, but they're a little too rich for my blood. Do you have any other recommendations with a sound similar but superior to the C12s under $100?
I've read many good things about the Moondrop Aria. Would you recommend them as a C12 upgrade? Are you familiar with the QOA Vesper? I value your opinion since it appears that your taste might be similar to mine based on your CCA C12 review. Any and all help is appreciated!
I haven't heard the QOA Vesper, sorry. Aria is a solid option, I prefer the Tin Hifi T3 Plus and Kotori Dauntless. You can't go wrong with either of them.
One question- is there a way to distinguish the L and R of the cables? I just got one yesterday and I cannot distinguish them. Is the cable with the microphone on it the right one? Loving the soundstage and the bass - unbeatable at this price point.

This may be an old one but how does it compare with the Fiio FD1 which is newer on detail retrieval?
Oh man its been awhile since I heard the C12. I think the FD1 is warmer and doesn't have as much metallic timbre. Soundstage is wider on C12. FD1 is better with depth and layering.
Hey Dave, you are saying a lot of good things here about these iems. Do they compare well to a headphone...like say HD6XX or HE4XX? Thanks
You know, I don't really compare IEM to headphones. I think that is a good suggestion for a video. Thank you.
I've ordered these a week ago but I don't have a dac yet but I'm planning on buying one someday(started saving money for that)... what are my best options that are not like crazy expensive and would be wise to buy with these CCA C12'S
You could get a usb-c dongle like the Veclan Odyssey HD or Nextdrive Soectra X. If you want a dac and amp setup something from Schiit Audio or Geshelli Labs. If you want a DAC only because you already have an amp the Frace Design SDAC is a solid option. The choices are plentiful.
i'm only recently discovering the 'chifi' trend, and i'm really tempted to get a set. i've got shure se 535's, and an old set of ultimate ears super fi 5eb's, and several larger sets of headphones and amps for various situations... i'm wanting to get a more 'fun' sounding set. i find myself using the 5eb's (which are 'bass forward') over the more expensive shure's lately so i'm curious to hear which of the chifi sets you'd recommend as a starting point for someone wanting a more 'thick' sound? NOT boomy (i hate subwoofer) i just like really solid bass. i'm leaning towards these c12's... thanks!
@Tom Owens the CCA C12 and Blon BL-03 would be very good starting point. Also the Simgot EN700 Pro if you are willing to pay a few pennies more.

Weird that you say these fit different than the KZN Pro, to me these fit identical to the KZN Pro, with the exact same negative. They just don't go in my ear well and stick out a bit. I had the same issue with foam tips that you had. It took me a bit to find the right tips for them, but I had a set that seems to be working out pretty well.
I just got mine over the holiday, along with a pair of TRN V90's. I agree with pretty much everything you said about the sound (once you find the right tips!). My problem is... I also got the V90's. And I think they're better. Not quite as bright, but more soundstage, and a _much_ better fit.

Blon BL-03 for chilling and relaxing and the CCA C12 for a little more on the analytical listening.
@@TheHonestAudiophile thanks i'll consider cca c12 because i have blon03 and kz zs10 pro and i prefer zs10pro over blon03, it is more lively/exciting, more clarity and i hear too much bass in relation to mids on blon03, it is like the volume on your subwoofer is too high, it adds a pleasant subbass rumble but feels unnatural so it pulls me out of the music experience. not sure if cca c12 is a big enough improvement to justify an upgrade over zs10pro though as it seems kz and cca are the same company with very similar products ?

I just received my CCA C12 today. Tested for 4 hours on my android phone Huawei Nova 3i. I also compare against iPhone earpods (aged 4 years). Stock cable and ear tips used.
Songs tested: Metallica 320kps mp3, PussycatDolls FLAC, vocal songs on youtube, Eminem.
At first, C12 is definitely more detail. Vocal and instrument. Bass is nice and smooth. But some NOISE. So I tuned up equalizer. I use JetAudio free app, prefer two presets (headphone 2- more treble and rock 2-more bass), then I customised in between. Voila!! All songs then sound better. The difference to iphone earpods is more obvious. I copied same setting to built-in phone sound equalizer.
I also have cheap Sony mp3 player NWZ-B183, bass boost and equalizer are useless anyway. So I use flat. Still better than earpods. Improvement is clear.
Maybe I will buy HiFi mp3 player but someone said smartphone nowadays is good enough. Is it true?
Awesome. Glad you enjoy them. I use my Samsung Note 10+ and the xDuoo Link dongle for most of my portable listening. I do have a Pioneer XDP30r and Hifiman Mega Mini that I use randomly. I find the phone is more convenient and sounds fantastic.

If compare with Qkz Vk4, which one do you want to choose ?
I haven't heard the VK4 or C12 since I reviewed them but I'm thinking I'd pick the C12 based off a very limited memory. Here's a link to my VK4 review:

@@TheHonestAudiophile Thanks 🙏
@@silverbluemaurice my pleasure, you're welcome 😊
Which is better sounding Dave C12 or C10?
It has been a long time since I have heard the C12. If memory serves me correctly the C12 is more technical and a little more bright in the treble.
Which one is better between CCA C12 and KZ ZS10pro
Sorry haven't heard the ZS10 Pro.
Is it worth to upgrade to the c12 from c10?
@joekis I haven't heard the C10. Sorry
CCA C12 or Blon 03? what your choice?
I love both. Depends on the mood, if I am chilling and relaxing the BL-03, if I want a little more energy and details then the C12.
@@TheHonestAudiophile cool, they look really good. Great times to be audiophile. Thanks for you help :)
@@JohnPereiraJP You are very welcome.
Love the video as per dave :) but i don't know how your note 10 can drive these as that phone doesn't even have a DAC, let alone amp or headphone jack haha
It's called a usb dongle, xDuoo Link, Nextdrive Spectra X.
@@TheHonestAudiophile yh i know aha just saying as its mildly interesting my $1000 phone doesn't even have a DAC. but speaking of which, please could you review the DDHIFI mini DAC/AMP dongle. its amazing value and looks/sounds gorgeous.
Thanks for the suggestion.
@@TheHonestAudiophile thanks for interacting with your audience so much :)
@@Emira_75 you're welcome. It is fun and enjoyable 🙂
Vocals have a good amount of thickness for both females and males without being overly thick or thin.
Is There a Upgrade Cable for the CCA C12?
I am sorry I don't know about a specific upgrade cable.
@@TheHonestAudiophile i mean Like a Replecment Cable what is Better than the Original.
@@sayonara3356 Something like this as long as it is a .75 2 pin cable should work. 8 Core Silver Plated 2 Pin Earphone Cable, Upgrade 0.75mm 2PIN Detachable Earphone Cable Replacement Earphone Wire for KZ ZS10 ZS3 ZS5 ZS6 ZSR ZST TRN V10 V20 TFZ www.amazon.com/dp/B07PB9TD8J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_U1aaEbTC2770Q
C12 vs Zs10 pro? Which is more clear?
sorry haven't heard t he zs10 pro.
What would you recommend for a singer with at least more than three drivers within the same price range
What sound signature are you looking for as a singer?
@@TheHonestAudiophile sorry to not know what you mean . I mostly sing punk , metal and alternative . For singers do I look something with more highs or mids ?
@chuck taylor yes do you like something with a mids focus or a treble focus or a balanced sound. I would look at the Moondrop SSR and Tin Hifi T2+.
@@TheHonestAudiophile I thikk I like more clear . Not big on hearing the bass too much as I focus on guitar parts mostly for my queues .
@chuck Taylor I'd look at the Moondrop SSR
ua-cam.com/video/nwrmXFNyl_g/v-deo.html
Difrence between them and c10 pro ?
Sorry havent heard the C10 Pro.
How is this compared to KZ ZSX?
ZSX has more detail retrieval and resolution throughout but is more intense in presentation.
CCA C12 or KZ ZSX or Tin T2 Plus?
I rank them this way based on technical ability:
ZSX
T2+
C12
You will choise Cca C12 Or KZ Zsx ?
Thankyou
I am sorry I haven't heard the KZ ZSX.
@@TheHonestAudiophile oke
@@TheHonestAudiophile better cca c12 or blon bl 03 ?
I like both but I would choose Blon BL-03 over the C12.
@@TheHonestAudiophile thank you for the advice, Sir
The CCA10 are my first I have heard that these cca c12 are similar But are just slightly better. - My question is going up in price What sounds better--- these $50 to say 100 or even 200 --- I guess what I'm saying is I've ate the candy and I'm just saying if and/or is there anything better obviously there is but I don't have any conception / perception to which to stand on And I'm very intrested. I also run everything off of my Samsung note 10.
Lot's of reviews/comparisons upcoming in a few weeks. One that comes to mind that would be an upgrade is the Simgot EN700 Pro, be on the lookout for that review.
@@TheHonestAudiophile thanks I literally had that in my Amazon cart but was debating.
@@snailmail1962 I am enjoying them very much for the short time I've had them. First impressions have been very good.
Been using C10 for 6 months till C12 came yesterday and I sold the C10, love the extend treble and mid in C12 over C10
@Rama Nathan could you listen to “Don’t let me down” by The Beatles with your CCA C12, and let me know how the bass sounds? Thanks
cca c10 or cca c12??
I have only heard the C10 Pro.
ua-cam.com/video/wOKvOQsuiqU/v-deo.html
Using a new camera setup, the Samsung Note 10 Plus. I need to adjust the microphone setting a bit. I will work on that with future videos. Sorry for the background hiss.
Cca c12 or TFZ t2?
I am sorry I haven't heard the TFZ T2, Sorry.
David Sylvia ok. Thanks anyway
Let me ask you so more drivers means better music
Not necessarily...I actually have heard some pretty bad hybrids and also single drivers. I believe it is more about the implementation and quality then the amount.
I should do a video on this sometime, thank you for the great idea.
Zs10 PRO or CCA C12? Wich better??
Sorry I haven't heard the ZS10 Pro only the ZSN Pro. I'd recommend the C12 over the ZSN Pro.
David Sylvia ok.. Is the bass of this C12 too strong?? Compared to the ZSN pro?
@@robbrown150 ZSN Pro has thicker and less detailed bass, the C12 is more detailed but not as impactful. I prefer the bass on the C12.
I have both! Both are nice! Pro has a nice mid tuning and extended treble, C12 has a complete and mature sound. I keep both.
Hi.. Is it good for a vocalist?
As a monitor? No I wouldn't use it as a monitor.
@@TheHonestAudiophile yes monitor purposes. And use it for my singing engagements.. So it is not recommended for monitor purposes?
@Jc Villarba No I wouldn't use it for monitoring. I would think you'd want something more balanced or slightly mid forward for that purpose. But keep in mind I am not a musician or singer.
Thanka david for the info. Godbless you 😊
@@jcvillarba9137 you're welcome, my pleasure.
honest review : i have a pair of cca c12 and the fit & comfort of this iem sucks, the nozzles of the iems angled flat ↔ when worn. usually our ear cannel have a path of ↗↖. some of the KZ iems come with this angle. i do have a pair of kz zsn pro i know what i'm talking about. and the preformed hooks worsens the fit it if u try to find a space for fitting. moreover they doesn’t seat on the base of ear well. disappointed and each of the issues i mentioned are interconnected.
Sorry hear that you have that issue. Fit and seal can be a bugger on some IEM, I have similar issues with some of my IEM.
Looks like the rha tips cost more than the c12
.i havE this ccA c12...! grEat iEm..!
I am glad you enjoy the C12 :)
Cca c10 or c12?
I haven't heard a CCA C10. Sorry.
C12 all the way
KZ doesn't do backward steps on making new IEMS. Always go for the newer models.
Udah jadi ngambil cca c12 nya kk ?
Bass is punchy rather than being boomy
Too much bla bla...
