HoF or not, he was not extended despite being good for the locker room because tackling was weak. It’s why an undersized Herbig will have a long career there.
Highsmith is a great player, but there is virtually no drop off when Herbig is in the game. The design possibilities for must-pass situations are endless when you have all 3 guys available.
Steelers, Bears, Titans, Chargers and Broncos have the most physical defenses in the league right now. They’re gonna punch you in the mouth on every try run and make you fight through contact on every catch and lots of teams aren’t built to go toe to toe with that kind of mentality
