- In an interview with Vlad TV, former assistant US attorney, Dan Dorsey and former FBI agent, Mike Campi talk about their experiences in the war against the mafia in New York. They largely focused on the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), a law primarily used against organized crime. The use of RICO allowed them to prosecute crimes committed by groups of individuals with a common purpose over a period of time, even if the individuals did not personally commit the crimes. This book sounds like something many people will overlook but is a tale of an absolutely crippling attack on the organized crime structure in America. I can understand why they keep referencing the book because most likely the information they are providing in response to questions is an ad hoc recalling of events rather than a structured and professionally written account of the details.

You know the problem here nobody is talking about is how everytime undercover agents got close enough to bring down the shot callers in organized crime the investigation suddenly gets pulled/shutdown on the orders of some higher up.
The only logical conclusion one can draw is the criminals have corrupted high level supervisors to protect the organization from being destroyed completely, which is exactly what would happen if a UC agent sat at "the table" of the shot callers.
These organizations can't be exterminated until their leadership structure is completely disrupted, the criminals aren't playing by the rules and neither can the feds investigating them if they want to actually bring these pieces of shit to justice. Hypocritical or not, the feds are going to have to fight dirty and get their dirty supervisors ousted so they can't pull investigations that would take these organizations down for good.
