This couple often used a pseudonym for their collaborations: Lewis Padgett. The only thing I've ever read by them is "Mimsy Were the Borogoves", from The Science Fiction Hall of Fame anthology and I absolutely loved it! I'm looking forward to checking out more from them. Great video!
Great review, Ira! Fury is one of my all-time-favorite SF books, so I'm very glad you enjoyed it. I've read it several times. You might want to check out one of the Kuttner's novellas, Clash by Night, which is a chronologically much earlier (but still the same timeline) look at life on Venus. I've loved their stories for years, but somehow never read any of C. L. Moore's solo stories until recently. I've been slowly reading the Northwest Smith stories, and am looking forward to the Jirel of Joiry stories. Just purchased Judgement Night and Doomsday Morning in old but still Good to Very Good hardcover editions. Very excited to read those! Thanks for putting out these videos! My friends all think I'm nuts when I try to talk to them about these great old SF stories. Good luck with On Wings of Song.
According to ISFDB, it was originally serialized in Astounding Science Fiction. I think it was written as a novel, as it doesn’t feel like a fix up. Kuttner did also write a shorter prequel novella in the same world called Clash by Night.
This is what I understand about Fury as well. It read like a novel. I can't wait to read 'The Best of Kuttner' soon, it's a collection of his short stories.
I love Kuttner!

Oh yeah, I forgot about that pseudonym. Great writers, looking forward to read more of their stuff.

It’s next up on my purchase list
I hope you find a nice condition paperback. Love the cover art. Cheers.
I still haven't read any Kuttner. Must get to him soon! I cannot wait for you to read the best of C L Moore.
Yes, I'm excited to read CL Moore as well. I think you'll like Fury a lot. Cheers Matt.
Ira I love Kuttner. I have a couple anthologies and like every story. Liked your take here. Cheers!
Thanks Rick. At some point, me and the boys will be reading 'The Best of Kuttner', excited to read more of his short stories.
Picked this up today after seeing your video as part of a local book haul - straight to the TBR pile.
That great, hope you enjoy it.
Very interesting! I will keep an eye out for a copy.
I think you'd like this one Joseph, will be interested to hear what you think.
Was Fury a mashup of short stories? Kuttner wrote some great shorter sf pieces.
