@@barbieandguns7294 The stone arrived a couple of hrs ago, and got to sharpening my paper scissors as a trial run, it works, so i continue to sharpen all the knives i can get in the kitchen 😂😂 I am yet to work on my fabric scissor now that i got a bit of experience 🤣🤣
Please put the stone on a non-slip surface first. Only one thing should be moving, holding it like this is a great way for beginners to slip and cut themselves and also makes it more difficult to keep the angle correct. Also, check the packaging. If it's a water stone then soak it in water overnight first, then when you use it either do so under running water or keep rinsing it as you go. If an oil stone it will be pre-oiled but add oil to the top before you start. Motor oil is fine of that's all you have and you only need a tablespoon or so. More is fine, but it gets messier. In both cases, you're trying to lubricate the movement so it's smooth and keep the metal chaff that grinds off from clogging up the stone.
Sharpening scissors is ridiculously easy with a stone. I can't believe I was intimidated for so many years. Doing it myself is one of the smartest things I've ever done. I do it pretty much like this video and they turn out fine.
Thank you very much indeed 🥰 you can get it anywhere from hardware shops. The one that I’m using is Japan product which I found fine made. Make sure you soak it first!

I always been told that it would make it ever duller with a stone, but I never really got to try it, I’m gonna try it for sure
Im waiting for my stone.. 😊 I will try this😊
Great tutorial!
Thank You So Much Will Sharpen My oun Scissors Now God Bless You❤️👍👍👍
aren;'t they supposed to be sharpened like a deba or yanagiba, only sharpen on the flat side, on a very flat stone ?
The scissors easily cut the fabric without pulling. Well done.
Thank you 🥰
It's not a wet stone, it's a whet stone. They can be used wet or dry but usually wet with either a light oil or with water.
Well done!😊
Very nice way dear💖,but tell me about stone using & where it be available??

This is a wet stone no? Why use it dry?
She said she got it wet in the beginning
@@weaza.p.k.436 Not how it works. When sanding, gotta keep pouring the water on it. Not just wet it once.

You don't use any oil?
She used water, either works, I always use water to sharpen knives and they are tremendously sharp.
No oil or water on stone?
Highly recommend to soak the stone with water first.

I respectfully disagree.
That’s an incredible little thing to say. Useless comment, be more mindful when you say things.
