    I think the rule allowing coaches is fine in the bigger tournaments where folks are making enough money to have their coaches travel with them. But outside of that, it is kind of a pay-to-win deal as it can be a huge advantage if one player can be told what to do or what the opponent’s weaknesses/tendencies are.

    Still incredible of how you played! Things happen on the court that can be sad and unfortunate at the moment but it’ll pick up later on. Most importantly you reflected on what went wrong and you’ll do better next time when you stepped on the court again!! Keep fighting :) ❤

    Keep you head up, Amy! As you said, we all have our tough days in the office. It takes a lot of guts to post about a loss like this and reflect on it.

    Hi, Amy. Keep your chin up.That was a great match. A bounce of the ball one way or another determined the winner. I like the commentary too! You've got great insights.

    Nice job with adding the score box - it was really helpful to follow the matchplay and your commentary! Speaking of, if I can make a suggestion, it'd be great to end the video with you on camera talking a little bit more about the match, share some more insights, and preview what's next so we can cheer you on and create more of a continuing storyline. You were great on camera working with Winston, and I think you should keep building your confidence being on screen and talking to the camera!

    • @AmyZhu200
      @AmyZhu200  6 місяців тому

      Yea I’m gonna keep working on that. It’s easier when I’m actually talking someone but when I’m just talking to a camera I get so awkward but I’ll keep working on it! Thanks for the input!

    Crazy to see a modern women’s player doing the Graf on the backhand (1 handed, mostly slice) didn’t think I’d see that again

    I think coaching should be allowed. Coaches don't always help. At Wimbleton, Ostapenko kicked her coach out during the match. What do you think Amy?

    • @AmyZhu200
      @AmyZhu200  6 місяців тому +2

      I think you’re right! They don’t always help depends on the person. Sometimes too much coaching in a match can be overwhelming and cause the player to overthink and can prevent the player from playing freely. Other players can handle a lot info and still play their game

    Let's go Amy keep it up. Quick question what do you use to film your matches and how did you do the scoreboard. Trying to do the same as you on my channel

    • @AmyZhu200
      @AmyZhu200  6 місяців тому

      Hi! I use either a go pro or my phone depending on what the rules are for the tournament. Honestly I probably do it the most time consuming way. I go into paint and make the scoreboard and then transfer it over to CapCut and then fill in the names and points. There’s probably an easier way haha

    In lower level tournaments how many players are bringing their coach with them? Was your coach at this tournament?

    • @AmyZhu200
      @AmyZhu200  6 місяців тому

      Well it wasn’t boiling hot maybe 80s but the sun was quite strong which dries out the court quickly

    I'm more of a purist. Let the coaches stay in the stands. If they've done their job well, the players will know what to do to win.

    Hey Amy. I feel like your analysis here feels a little stiff and scripted, especially in comparison to how you were talking after your set with Winston. It would be cool if it were a bit more conversational and you showed us your personality. I suspect there was quite a bit of emotion following this match but we don't really see that based on how this video goes.

    • @AmyZhu200
      @AmyZhu200  6 місяців тому +6

      I agree with you. I get so nervous when I’m just talking to no one and into a camera that I become so robotic. But I’m gonna keep trying to do better to relax and be more myself. Thanks for the input!!
