I remember when they first calabed. At the time LL was my favorite rapper and Marley was my favorite producer. It was like a dream duo. Jingling Baby still a banger
The thing is, if you weren't living back in the day, like between 1983 - 1993, when these dude's were mega-boom, mega-large, and at least... let's say 9-years old in 1983, plus into Hip-Hop/Rap music, you simply won't be able to understand or overstand, just how important, just how talented, just how influential and pioneering these two men were then, which has lead to them being legends, OGS, and icons today. Imagine, there were no cellphones, Internet, social media, or USB sticks. We actually had to buy analogue tapes, singles, albums, and right around about 1990, CD players and disk became available, which is a digital format. Anyway, there was a time in like 1985-86, that LL COOL J was batteling with the phenomenal King of Pop; Michael Jackson, for the top spot on the charts, in many Western countries. And both of them had a song out on the top charts called Bad. In some countries Michael Jackson was sitting on the throne. In others, LL COOL J reigned supreme. And in the clubs in was Marley Mal's groups, artist, and remixes that had the roof on fire! The energy, the excitement, the professionals creative competition of those times was inspirational, intoxicating, addictive, and my era. I hope you too were a part of it. Peace!
Marley Marl in the 80s, DJ Premier in the 90s. We need another producer like that who will produce dope beats for nearly every great rapper around. Now anyone with a laptop in their room is a producer and they're all making the same 808 bass trap music
LOVE SEEING THESE TWO TOGETHER! I would have loved to been in one of their sessions for mama said knock you out or 14 shots to the dome bet it was pure pandemonium!!!
Marly Marl I watched your Red Bull lecture and it's really cool to see you and LL together. You were always my favorite producer. Matter of fact Red Alert was my favorite DJ but you're my favorite producer. And without both of you we don't have a golden era of Hip Hop. Hopefully one day I will be lucjy enough to meet you. I grew up in The Bronx and DJ for 24 years before an injury to my neck that prevents me from spinning.
“When I’m alone in my room, I sit and stare at the wall, and the back of my mind, I hear a wack ass rhyme.” Shout out to Common, back when he was still known as Common Sense.
#random Marley Marl needs to bring back his facial hair in some form. The facial hair brings layers of handsome to his face. This is funny watching them laugh at each other. ~~Jesus is Lord~~

You are right. Krush Groove came out in 1985, Wildcats in 1986.
That was my guess. But that was more like an apprentice

I saw the video on the making of “Mama Said Knock You Out”...and it was crazy! If Marley Marl were to tone the beat down it would still be dope!
“When I’m alone in my room, I sit and stare at the wall, and the back of my mind, I hear a wack ass rhyme.”

That LL laugh is a bit over the top.
Yeah !! but his acting have improved a lot, tho
Thats how he always laughs...reminds me of my classmates in highschool dropping on the floor laughing thats part of the joke
I love and respect LL.. but I'd expect less "you knows" and "knowwhatimsayins" by now. Not as much lip licking, so that's a bonus.
Your pink nails and your lipstick driving rose crazy
Marley calls LLCJ 'cuz are they Creeps?
Shout out to LL The Goat living legend boy he helped pioneer this
