Thanks for doing this review. I'm so sorry you had a bad experience--if you are a foodie, it can be very disappointing to not like a restaurant. It sounds like maybe they're trying to save money by not adding smoked meat to the mustard greens or not changing out the frying oil. One of my friends from Argentina visited me a while back, and he said it tasted like a lot of restaurants here in the US were using old oil--I'm guessing the place you tried took that to the extreme.
I know you are a soul food chef and know good food, so I trust your judgement. From the mixed reviews, I'm guessing that maybe there are multiple cooks, and some don't put as much effort into the food as some do? It's difficult to say.
And I agree: messing up cornbread is difficult--but they did it.

Oh I remembered when we saw in FB a Filipino restaurant so we lined up we were so excited cos we missed Filipino foods so when we heard that there was an opening here we were so much excited but when we ate it was very frustrating we lined up waited for so long but 😂😮it wasn’t tasted as what we expected 😊❤
