Watch how they purposefully set the TV to get turned on (preventing their base home with all its sentiments becoming the basis of the Dark World), slashed Toriel's tires and purposefully let Toriel think there was a prowler around to make her call the police, then left the front door open. It's a ploy to make the adults aware of the existence of Dark Worlds--specifically Undyne, who Kris literally goes out of their way to put Dark Worlds as a dialogue option when interacting with her. And if Kris was the Knight, they'd also somehow have to have been in the computer lab closet to open a Fountain while Berdly and Noelle were studying inside. And...Kris was definitely like, not there at the time.

@@teovinokur9362 I think it's a Toby thing to make us think a character's a certain way but drop subtle hints that Something Is Wrong, Actually. Papyrus doesn't really have much of an emotional arc in Undertale, and neither does Sans. In the end, I just hope that whatever Toby has planned for Deltarune, he can deliver.

The theme gives me vibes of hopelessness which perfectly captures the situation. 3 teens, only having a week's worth of combat experience, without their guide Ralsei are faced against ancient beings with no pity, no concern, no care. Just beings that can and will kill everything, even the very ground we stand on, even the very souls of heaven. They will make sure it all falls
A fun detail I just noticed is that while this hypothetical fight would presumably use Dark World mechanics (judging by the UI options), it’s front facing rather than side facing, just like the fights in Undertale…like the Light World
Could also just be to fit a giant enemy on the screen. Kind of like the Queen Boxing match. Which could be considered not a real fight, but even if it was, I'd definitely see it working that way.
When undertale was done, did we expect deltarune? Toby is a very young developer all things considered, and while he may stop developing games, these will become etched into modern media for a good long while.
I feel the titans are a manifestation of escapism, for it seems darkworlds are born from hobbies and places to escape into- internet, tv, games/ puzzles, etc. So if people became too reliant on escapism, then it would literally consume them as is the case with the roaring

There are people who spend literal days doing nothing but gamble, play board games, video games, internet, sports, baking, television, reading, writing, working out, hiking, camping, etc. until they are burned out in a very detrimental way. i’ve always loved the idea of fighting the roaring titans and the theme is just so damn good, especially when 1:45 kicks in, i wish this would be in the actual game because it fits so well.
"Your mind goes numb..." "You are overwhelmed with pain..." "Otherworldly voices linger around you..." "Impending doom approaches..." To those who don't know, these are the lines that lead up to Terraria's final boss (the Moon Lord AKA Cthulhu). I feel these fit really well with the Titans and especially this theme.
Seeing how the titans seem like forces of pure darkness and can have some lovecraftian elements. I think it’d be neat if these lines were referenced (e.g "They wait for the world’s end" "You cannot win")
Imagine if you're supposed to lose the boss fight, but instead of an unskippable cutscene or the enemy hitting you for 99999999 damage, they could actually have the unbeatable fight go on like normal, and the enemies would be regenerating health every turn. They would let the player try everything from acting to fighting as they lose hope, and the player can only progress when they actually lose and click give up on the game over screen. *The player* gives up control and Kris is the one who acts. That could be an ending.
Yeah, imagine a UA-camr saying something like: "I don't know how to defeat this thing, I'll try again in the next video." Stops recording and then sees that was the answer. That would be funny.
This is my theory for how it would go if there was a Gaster fight or something at the end of the weird route as it wouldn’t necessarily be an ending, it would just kinda stop, so it would go with what Toby said about there only being one ending
I was struggling to figure out what was so compelling about this song, but I realized that it’s the fact that underneath the oppressive Titan theme and instrumentation, there’s the hopeful leitmotif of the Legend of Deltarune, signifying the heroes that are so tiny by comparison. A faint little glimmer of hope, as it were. Very appropriate.

Any person with any sort of basic understanding of music theory would notice that: 1: It isn't even the same notes nor is it in the same key. 2: The 4 notes constantly go up, unlike gasters theme which go up 3 times and then goes down for the last note. 3: The melody doesnt go down a semitone after 4 bars. This usually wouldn't completely rule out the motif but combined with the other reasons, its safe to say it ISNT a gaster motif and rather just a bit of deltarune brainrot.
(1:20) For some reason I feel like for this part, Kris has second thoughts of solving this fight through “ACT” ing and looks at the JEVIL’S Knife planning to use it. And later on, instead of using it, Kris still pushes on once they see that their friends are still willing to not give up on the fight.
If this was a Toby Fox song, I'd say it might genuinely be his best. It really hits not only the sound of Undertale and Deltarune music, but it also feels like one of his Homestuck tracks, which is where I've always said most of his best stuff is!

I love this song so much the scene makes it really look like they've lost everything they had worked for. Yet they keep fighting even when victory seems impossible.

The Center Titan's eye look more like the undertale save While the other two looks like the Deltarune ones, Maybe what the roaring truly is, is the coliding of two timelines, two worlds, Two games
holy, this thing is just, heavenly. the effects perfectly resemble a song used for a fight against the unknown force of evil you still go against because of the courage of you and your comrades. Respect to you, you're a very good content maker.
I'm not so sure about Noelle being in the party for this hypothetical final battle instead of Ralsei. Yes, Ralsei does say the darkners will all turn to stone if the roaring happens, but we do know Ralsei is seemingly more advanced than average darkners, what with not only making his way to the Cyber World, but also not turning to stone in either dark world so far. So maybe the petrification doesn't apply to him, at the very least, not immediately. Besides, Kris, Susie, and Ralsei, they're the "main" main characters, if that makes sense. I feel like what the structure of major characters in Deltarune is gonna be is this: the characters who weren't really so important back in chapter 1, but had dialogue face sprites (these characters being Noelle, Berdly, Catti, Jockington, Rudy, Burgerpants, Catty, and Bratty) will, in upcoming chapters, become these important characters. We've already seen this with Noelle and Berdly in chapter 2, which means they've already had their time in the spotlight. And certainly none of them will be in the main party for the final battle, if and when they're all major characters, they'll be more so a "secondary" set of protagonists, with Kris, Susie, and Ralsei being the "main" set of protagonists. Not to say the "secondary" protagonist set couldn't have any role in the final battle, but probably not alongside the "main" set. Maybe it could be something where one group of the "secondary" main characters fights something, another group fights another thing, rinse and repeat until the "main" set of protagonists fights a final thing. Honestly i see ralsei fighting instead of noelle in beggining of the fight but when fight continues he starts turning to stone until he is competly stone and then noelle replacing him in battle
I feel like in chapter three you will be able to select who will go with you instead of susie (so far, i guess you could only choose susie, noelle, or berdly)
I disagree, specifically Noelle and Berdly have more of a focus than the others in the first chapter's intro, and Noelle specifically has more history and connection with both Susie and Kris than any of the others you mentioned there.

Getting a prediction right sounds about par for the course, especially with so many people delving into the topic. Unless the game developers want to pull a fast one on everyone (and throw away the quality of the story - which Toby will most likely not do)

I love listening to this song so much, especially since it gives me the chills every time, this seriously portrays a "The end of your world is near, and this is your last chance to stop calamity" vibe. This also fits the Toby style too, with all the leitmotifs from both UNDERTALE and deltarune!

Took me a while to notice all 5 floating islands with some sort of corrupted souls lying on them. Also these islands have this eye figure illustrated on them, like the one from chapter 1. So i noticed that the middle titan has 3 of them, so i can guess there are 3 souls trapped in this titan, that Kris has to free with Susie and Noelle?.. Well anyway i have to admit that the animation and music are very well done

This really does give off a sense of desperation, a last stand at the end of everything. If I didn't know any better I'd say Toby himself worked on it, either way props to the creators though. This track is dope!

whoo boy!, its been a fun ride, i dont know what to feel now that deltarune is over, i enjoyed so much chapter 6, and 7 was such a build up to 8, kinda sad to see that it only had one ending, but the way you can get there, jeez, toby outdid himself, well, happy 2032 to everyone!
leitmotifs I can hear: 0:11: vs susie 0:35: the legend 1:00: megalo strike back (i think?) 1:04: bonetrousle 1:20: the world revolving (aka the "freedom" motif) (plus i can hear a little bit of "deal gone wrong" in the background)
I absolutely love this! I like how it even has some of the instruments compressed a lot similar to how chapter 1's early dark world tracks are really compressed, I feel like Toby's choice to make those tracks extra compressed was deliberate and the acknowledgement of that in this piece causes it to ring true even more as something that may appear in Deltarune's later chapters. I personally don't think the narrative will get to this point by Chapter 7, but if this does occur in the story this is exactly the music I'd imagine for the scenario, to the letter. It captures the combined feeling of determination and knowledge of futility quite well. I especially like how the melody of "A Town Called Hometown" is included alongside melodies from dark world areas such as "Empty Town" (or "The Legend"), as it is a wonderful musical approach to how both the safest parts of the dark world and light world are both lost in these circumstances. Overall this is my favorite Deltarune UST track, simply due to its thematic empact and efficient use of theory. I hope this all made sense, I'm a bit sleep deprived at the moment and have pent up these admirations since this video's release (I prefer this new version due to the slight ajustments in instrumentation at the loop point, more for aesthetic reasons than anything), so my words may both be limited by my tired mind and abstracted by the sands of time. So TL;DR: I love this!
Sooo many little things make this so cool like Kris, Susie, and Noelle all are hurt or have something broken just to show that they’re on their last leg and that they’re facing overwhelming odds

I would love for the final battle, if you follow a genocide route (Snowgrave) throughout all the chapters available, to culminate with Kris standing alone against the titans, without Susie or Ralsei. Since it’s a genocide route, Kris could be depicted with their soul bound by chains, preventing them from making their own choices. There could be flashbacks of when Kris killed Susie, where they refuse to attack, and an option in the act menu saying *PROCEED*.
Is it possible when chapters 3, 4, and 5 come out that you will improve this song again with their secret boss theems? You have jevils in there, same with spamtons as well, so I hope you do. (You don't have to if you don't want to.)
I just realised that the floating ground that Temmie and Cati are on float just in front of the centre titan’s shoulder spikes. This may very well be an oversight, but I feel it adds to the size of the titan as it implies they aren’t even standing close to Kris and co.
An intresting thought I just had: what if the leitmotif of the secret bosses (and the freedom theme) only appear when you've fought them? The freedom theme would appear if you fight any secret boss, (assuming all secret bosses have the freedom theme associated with them, of course) Spamton's theme would appear if (you guessed it) you fight Spamton NEO, so on and so forth.
I love that despite how foreboding and hopeless this song sounds, you can still hear the freedom motif, like a sign that there is still hope, hope that you can overcome these titans of the dark.
This song is so sinister yet powerful. If I heard it in game, it would make me feel determined yet also feel a sense of dread for what lay ahead. Perfect composition and execution!!
IMO the problem with USTs is that, considering how much of a curveball chapter 2 was, we have no idea what chapters 3-7 could hold, so whilst i love the creativity, and it looks fucking amazing, it's ultimately, bound to be very, very outdated by the time the full game releases, which, is kinda depressing.
To me, I kinda view it in the opposite way. We have USTs for chapter 7, with the contest of chapter 2. The USTs that are being made now likely wouldn’t be made the same if chapter 3/4/5 were released, and couldn’t be made if chapter 1 were only.
@@ERBEpic It kinda feels* how with chapter 1, all UST/fangames were mainly about kris trying to kill chapter 1 characters in chapter 2, which makes sense with just it as context as we knew nothing about new fountains appearing, and chapter ended with kris holding a knife and reminding us of chara, implying genocide starting like in undertale. Thanks to chapter 2 they got a lot more creative than undertale ever did Still surprised how people are thinking out of the box with future chapters (especially secret bosses, WOW), but wonder how much will our view change once chapters 3-5 come in

Imagine if you're supposed to lose the boss fight, but instead of an unskippable cutscene or the enemy hitting you for 99999999 damage, they could actually have the unbeatable fight go on like normal, and the enemies would be regenerating health every turn. They would let the player try everything from acting to fighting as they lose hope, and the player can only progress when they actually lose and click give up on the game over screen. *The player* gives up control and Kris is the one who acts. That could be an ending.

I was struggling to figure out what was so compelling about this song, but I realized that it’s the fact that underneath the oppressive Titan theme and instrumentation, there’s the hopeful leitmotif of the Legend of Deltarune, signifying the heroes that are so tiny by comparison. A faint little glimmer of hope, as it were.

@@SomerIGuessIt literally isn't gasters theme at all. Any person with any sort of basic understanding of music theory would notice that:
1: It isn't even the same notes nor is it in the same key.
2: The 4 notes constantly go up, unlike gasters theme which go up 3 times and then goes down for the last note.
3: The melody doesnt go down a semitone after 4 bars. This usually wouldn't completely rule out the motif but combined with the other reasons, its safe to say it ISNT a gaster motif and rather just a bit of deltarune brainrot.

I'm not so sure about Noelle being in the party for this hypothetical final battle instead of Ralsei. Yes, Ralsei does say the darkners will all turn to stone if the roaring happens, but we do know Ralsei is seemingly more advanced than average darkners, what with not only making his way to the Cyber World, but also not turning to stone in either dark world so far. So maybe the petrification doesn't apply to him, at the very least, not immediately.
Besides, Kris, Susie, and Ralsei, they're the "main" main characters, if that makes sense. I feel like what the structure of major characters in Deltarune is gonna be is this: the characters who weren't really so important back in chapter 1, but had dialogue face sprites (these characters being Noelle, Berdly, Catti, Jockington, Rudy, Burgerpants, Catty, and Bratty) will, in upcoming chapters, become these important characters. We've already seen this with Noelle and Berdly in chapter 2, which means they've already had their time in the spotlight. And certainly none of them will be in the main party for the final battle, if and when they're all major characters, they'll be more so a "secondary" set of protagonists, with Kris, Susie, and Ralsei being the "main" set of protagonists. Not to say the "secondary" protagonist set couldn't have any role in the final battle, but probably not alongside the "main" set. Maybe it could be something where one group of the "secondary" main characters fights something, another group fights another thing, rinse and repeat until the "main" set of protagonists fights a final thing.

I disagree, specifically Noelle and Berdly have more of a focus than the others in the first chapter's intro, and Noelle specifically has more history and connection with both Susie and Kris than any of the others you mentioned there.

Took me a while to notice all 5 floating islands with some sort of corrupted souls lying on them. Also these islands have this eye figure illustrated on them, like the one from chapter 1. So i noticed that the middle titan has 3 of them, so i can guess there are 3 souls trapped in this titan, that Kris has to free with Susie and Noelle?.. Well anyway i have to admit that the animation and music are very well done

I absolutely love this! I like how it even has some of the instruments compressed a lot similar to how chapter 1's early dark world tracks are really compressed, I feel like Toby's choice to make those tracks extra compressed was deliberate and the acknowledgement of that in this piece causes it to ring true even more as something that may appear in Deltarune's later chapters. I personally don't think the narrative will get to this point by Chapter 7, but if this does occur in the story this is exactly the music I'd imagine for the scenario, to the letter. It captures the combined feeling of determination and knowledge of futility quite well. I especially like how the melody of "A Town Called Hometown" is included alongside melodies from dark world areas such as "Empty Town" (or "The Legend"), as it is a wonderful musical approach to how both the safest parts of the dark world and light world are both lost in these circumstances. Overall this is my favorite Deltarune UST track, simply due to its thematic empact and efficient use of theory. I hope this all made sense, I'm a bit sleep deprived at the moment and have pent up these admirations since this video's release (I prefer this new version due to the slight ajustments in instrumentation at the loop point, more for aesthetic reasons than anything), so my words may both be limited by my tired mind and abstracted by the sands of time. So TL;DR: I love this!

I would love for the final battle, if you follow a genocide route (Snowgrave) throughout all the chapters available, to culminate with Kris standing alone against the titans, without Susie or Ralsei. Since it’s a genocide route, Kris could be depicted with their soul bound by chains, preventing them from making their own choices.
There could be flashbacks of when Kris killed Susie, where they refuse to attack, and an option in the act menu saying *PROCEED*.
Is it possible when chapters 3, 4, and 5 come out that you will improve this song again with their secret boss theems? You have jevils in there, same with spamtons as well, so I hope you do. (You don't have to if you don't want to.)
I've actually been thinking about that! I'll probably try adding it when they do come out, but we'll have to see if they work!

I just realised that the floating ground that Temmie and Cati are on float just in front of the centre titan’s shoulder spikes. This may very well be an oversight, but I feel it adds to the size of the titan as it implies they aren’t even standing close to Kris and co.
bro this whole "roaring" fight must be so damn hard like imagine the actual attacks they're going to use...
Now that I think about it, they do hold a striking ressemblance to the save points in both game

An intresting thought I just had: what if the leitmotif of the secret bosses (and the freedom theme) only appear when you've fought them? The freedom theme would appear if you fight any secret boss, (assuming all secret bosses have the freedom theme associated with them, of course) Spamton's theme would appear if (you guessed it) you fight Spamton NEO, so on and so forth.
for a noncanon song this sounds so legit, the mix of all the motifs together is amazing
I love that despite how foreboding and hopeless this song sounds, you can still hear the freedom motif, like a sign that there is still hope, hope that you can overcome these titans of the dark.

IMO the problem with USTs is that, considering how much of a curveball chapter 2 was, we have no idea what chapters 3-7 could hold, so whilst i love the creativity, and it looks fucking amazing, it's ultimately, bound to be very, very outdated by the time the full game releases, which, is kinda depressing.
To me, I kinda view it in the opposite way. We have USTs for chapter 7, with the contest of chapter 2. The USTs that are being made now likely wouldn’t be made the same if chapter 3/4/5 were released, and couldn’t be made if chapter 1 were only.
@@ERBEpic It kinda feels* how with chapter 1, all UST/fangames were mainly about kris trying to kill chapter 1 characters in chapter 2, which makes sense with just it as context as we knew nothing about new fountains appearing, and chapter ended with kris holding a knife and reminding us of chara, implying genocide starting like in undertale. Thanks to chapter 2 they got a lot more creative than undertale ever did
