Players of these generation,SRT, Kambli, Azhar,Sidhu, VVS Laxman etc. were toying with Warne and may be the reason as Warne has worst Records against India in Tests.
You are right. Few points I want to highlight Laxman came late on the scene. That 281 was his redemption innings. Thereon he cemented his place. In 90s he didn't perform that well. Mostly flop innings. His 167 against Australia in Australia was only inning to single out during 1990s. SRT and siddhu were consistent. Siddhu was out of team often but when he was played he played well most of the times. Before ganguly and dravid broke into the scene, that is 1996, it was mostly Azhar kambli jadeja manjrekar to anchor innings and SRT and siddhu providing opening partnership. Prabhakar also opened few times between 1993 to 1996 before he was dropped for good from the team. Then came robin Singh which added a bowling all rounder with tenacious batting ability for India. Still our middle order sucked. If we were 6 down then it was a matter of time the last 4 wickets fell in quick succession. We sucked at chasing games. We lost a lot of matches against Australia Sri Lanka Pakistan south Africa and west indies during between 1995 to 1999. Those were the days of great bowlers and conditions and rules suited them. Also the mentality of teams were not of hard hitting as it is today. When sehwag yuvraj came into team I think it was 2000 our batting became quite aggressive. And with zaheer as fast bowler we had finally a balanced team. I have to give credit to Azhar for being a smart captain. He utilized the trio of Srinath prasad and kumble well and tbh they weren't that great bowlers for Odi. Still we managed to win a decent number of matches.

What a classy batsman he was,
difference between tendulkar and kambli was that tendulkar was quick to adapt to challenges in his career and situations while kambli failed to adapt and evolve and thus his career got extinct very early
I don't really agree because they remove kambli after that loss in world cup where kambli was only one playing good.
I think its mostly politics
Bra man vs SC
difference is the white thread
@@parthsavyasachi9348 Wtf?.. Sachin was the highest scorer in the whole world cup. Kambli had big discipline issues. Also the support system and other ways to look after a person's career were non-existent back then.
@@arvindhmani06 no one claimed that sachin did not score.
It doesn't take away the fact that after tendulkar got out in that match it was kambli who was performing and they threw him out. Nothing happened to the batsmen who were part of the collapse.
Those days Kambli was better than sachin

@4:24 Sidhu was well in. But, the umpire gave him 'out'.
Beautiful indian jersy
Favourite of all time.
SIDDHU PAAJI .... I've seen them play so much CRICKET here first time ....🙂😜😜😜😜😜
Kambli .. look at the way he played ... Pure talent supressed by political selectors
Woh bhi kya din they, jub hamari team Australia ko dhool chata deti thi..aur aaj ka time hai Bangladesh se series haar jaati hai...wo dedication aaj ke players mai kam hi dekhne ko milta hai......
Bhai 😂😂mazak se hatke is Time
Hamari team sabse Ghatiya hua karti Thi
90s me Ham kahin bahar nahi jeette The.
We started winning outside asia under Ganguly
Bhai kya mazak kar rhe ho ek ban se series haarne se judge karoge aur bhul gye ban ne sirf ind ko nhi aus nz ko pichle saal ghar me series haraya aur shayad bhul rahe ho ki india ki b team ne wc se pehle sa ko odi series haraya aur uske ek month pehle eng ko eng me odi me haraya so ek ban se haar kya gye aur t20 wc joh hua usse indian team ko odi aur test me compare mt karo yeh dono format me bohot better team hai apni sirf yeh saal joh t20 series me dekhne mila ki jyada rest de rehe hai woh nhi hona chahiye ye agree karta hu per ye bolo aaj ka ban se series hare woh ban sab ko ghar me series hara hari hai ghatiya pitch se
Wills Bat is an Emotion 💗❤️
Vinod Kambli is one of the most talented batsman of India..
Sidhu is probably most underrated batsman
*74 on ODI debut
*Most fifties by any Indian in 1987 world cup
*Got the name sixer sidhu because he continuously hit Warne for sixes winning match for India.
*When he played 100 matches his batting average was approximately 41. He had issues with Azhar later on and his average went down a little like 39 or something. Sidhu went and never came back Rest is history azhars fixing allegations and his scandals is known...
Nvr like him or Gambhir as a politician though but in cricket both had a different aura....
Undoubtedly. And if u see his wicket in this match. He was not out. Not sure why umpire did not go upstairs?
Azhar was given clean chit bcz all the people involved like sachin and more big names will come out
Umpire given siddhu run out😆😆
Siddhu played the entire innings on the rise. What a serious talent he was!
Azhar is most stylist player i ever seen, treat to watch his wrist works
Miss you kambali तूला चांस नाय बेतला ज्यादा
Not sure what was being done on 2:49, was it ball tampering or just gel of the ball
Anyone seen that kind of ball rubbing anywhere
That runout of Sidhu!!
He had crossed the second line if nothing.. How Umpires cheated earlier without DRS..
Beating oz those days were not frequent ,this victory is still remembered ,although India was already knocked out of the tournament. Sachin and Prabhakar started the assault against warne, such was his reputation then.
Azhar was truly a class act. It was a sight to watch him bat
but a match fixer who betrayed millions of fans. That will be his lasting legacy
Pure technical cricket
U r simply worlds eyes 👀.. Worlds everything..
Kambli equally tallented as Sachin but difference was the character.
Inspiring Match
Vinod kambli,Wasim jaffer, Abhishek nayar,Abhinav mukund are underrated legends of Indian cricket..they just not have the luck on given 1,2 chances
Kambli ka stance lara jaisa dikh rha tha!
extra covers ke through jo shots the kaafi hadd tak Lara ke shots ki glimpses dete hai.
@@mrdaman99 exactly bhai.
Lol, Sidhu was a mile inside the crease when the ball hit the stumps. No wonder we use third umpire these days.
Omg that runout of sidhu was pure fixing he was on the crease
uff 4:24 the Batsman was in side crease by mile, typical Aussies umpiring.
Does anyone misses the inset on top left hand of screen Showing the running of the batsman.. it was a great inclusion. Don't know why they stopped showing that..😊
Iam 90s kid I know the 90s beauty, really I miss my childhood
He is genuinely very very talented but his unprofessional behaviour stopped him to be greatest of all time
This the dress we want for current indian team. Indian Dress was such a dope.
One of the best Captain in the history of indian Cricket ❤🎉 M Azharuddin ❤🎉
Sidhu was not out.
Azheruddin sixes was just wow
Sidhu...the blaster😍❤️💥
4:20... That's not run out. Siddhu was well in crease. Third umpires didnt existed back then?
Tony Greig one of the best commentator.
