Aren't you supposd to draw a vertical line from the intersection of the curve and horizontal line of temp to the 100 degrees before you make line to the feed rate?
Very informative video sir, but i have some doubts which i want to share , firstly how do we decide about the type of fuel i.e. A type or C type, how do we decide about the curve we are taking for deciding the gravity disc size like downward or upward curve. what is the option available onboard if we don't have the fuel oil analysis report with us and we want to put the fuel in use ( this situation can happen in MR ships where small bunker tanks are thr.) It would be really helpful if u can make a video on these doubts and also on how to check alarms of purifier and compressor.

If the density of the fuel in 15 degrees celcius is given, your curve line is going down, and if the degrees in celcius was unknown or 50 degrees the reading is upward
sir, another request. Now modern ship has "Alcap" purifier, which is bit different. I only worked with mitsubishi selfjector. can you pls teach us "alcap" purifier?
Thanks for your query sir.. Blind disc doesn't have any holes in it and it will be in the bottom of the purifier disc and it don't allow the liquid to pass over. This disc is used to convert purifier to clarifier.
Hello sir good day :- sir i want to select gravity disc for MDO purifier is that same as u mentioned for HFO PURIFIER ..... IF yes flash point of MDO is around 56 deg c know .. so at what temprature should we run the mdo purifier for optimum efficiency?

Even modern ship they install selfjector... But sme owners prefers alcap..

For running MDO do not open steam and check the existing gravity disc size if needed check the nomogram And change the gravity disc.
